Dj Menis - Est. 1996
Chris Menis first started playing tunes to crowds back in 1996 and quickly established himself with residencies at the now legendary Gravity nightclub, supporting some of the world's top Hardcore & Jungle DJs before he was old enough to legally buy drinks.

Known simply for the amount of energy he put into his sets and the ability to read a crowd, Chris quickly became a Perth favourite alongside Dj Leroy, playing at many of the big events throughout the late 90s, and becoming synonymous with the more lively side of underground music.

At the age of 17, Chris began to play abroad and has since toured as far as the UK to Sydney, headlining shows at events such as Fantasia, Future Dance (Bagleys), Club Diehard (Leicester), Bowlers (Manchester), The Arches (Sheffield), The Aquarium (East London), Teradome, Utopia, Prophecy, and Two Tribes (Olympic Stadium, Sydney).

In 1998 Chris broke boundaries of the harder and deeper sounds in venues that traditionally played it safe, bringing his unique blend of house and trance to life as a resident at Perth's Rise nightclub and regularly playing to large crowds. Branching into the full spectrum of underground electronica and landing spots that would see him on official warm up duties for super act as they came through Perth, including Ferry Corsten, CJ Bolland, Robert Miles & Paul Van Dyk.
From there he went on to feature at events on the east coast Dj circuit, headlining major events such as Fantasia, Two Tribes and Utopia alongside names like BT, Mauro Picotto, Hyrbid, BT & Fergie.

Production wise, Menis has collaborated with some of the biggest producers in the hardcore scene, resulting in selling records all over the world. Releases spanning from UK record labels Blatant Beats, Destructive Force and Hechtech records, Menis also had his collaboration with Marc Smith, 'Thick and Fast', featured on Hardcore’s most successful mix series of all time – Bonkers.
With the emergence of the festival circuit in 2004, Menis teamed up with MC Amani to run what would become their trademark 'house, breaks and live vocals' shows across Perth's Southwest and Great Southern regions, including Southbound Festival, Laneway and Hyperfest, as well as appearances across Perth's top nightclubs.
Jungle Shakedown @ Ambar / Coconut Club @ Southbound: 2011
From 2012, Chris took a break from doing regular live events to focus on raising a family, although the musical flame has continued to burn bright from his studio, with plenty of online sets being churned out as well as the odd sneaky live performance. Testament /Ministry of Sound 2024, Easter Roller 2024 have been recent highlights!
