there's a world where both buck and eddie start going to confession regularly because father brian just has a certain je nais se qua to him and eventually it devolves into him just listening to two sides of the same intensely complex pining ritual between these two men and one time buck's struggling to put what it is he's feeling into words so brian is like "how about i give you a moment to collect your thoughts? maybe you could practice what you might say to him" and he steps out and eddie's like lingering by the pews and brian directs a little forgive me father up to the heavens and says "eddie hey why don't you wait for me in there i just need to grab something" because god forbid a celibate priest have a little fun!
