catch of the day: kingler

i'm out at lake axewell! so you're probably wondering what kingler is doing out at a lake, right? well, for most water-types, there's actually freshwater and saltwater species! this kingler is a freshwater species, though it's a bit hard to tell sajkhjddhjsk. most variations don't have a ton of differences with each other, but freshwater kingler have five horns instead of six and they blow more alkaline bubbles than their saltwater cousins.

catch of the day: frillish!

oooooo i come to hulbury in the summer months so you don't usually see these hjasdhjsgd. but with route 9 becoming even colder than usual, there's a ton of frillish and jellicent migrating to slightly warmer waters!

a lot aquatic pokemon migrate during various times of the year. sometimes it's for warmth like these frillish and jellicent, but for something like basculin and arrokuda, it's to actually breed and spawn eggs!
