So, my personal headcanons for Calyx:

Most importantly: I don't see him as a child. His physical growth is stunted due to his illness so he looks a lot younger than he is. He's at least in his early - mid 20s when he becomes Endless.

I looked up a lot of illnesses to try and get an idea of what illness he had and figured it was some sort of muscle wasting disease, which would have killed him relatively young.

The way I'm writing him, he still has a physical body that was in stasis, like Sphene. Its not canon but it allows me to explore a lot of things to do with his character

Feeling trapped in his failing body

He's spent so long trying to save his life, he's never stopped to live it. He doesn't know how to live in the moment

When Endless Calyx finally reveals himself to be alive, he will be confronted with being alive despite his own beliefs. Memories can't be copied, yet there are now two of him. On top of that, his Endless self has lived a lot longer than him, does that mean he's more Calyx than the original?

I brought PR (Poppy-Rose) back. I missed bun ears. Maybe i'll work on her as a character a bit? IDK.

I don't see Meeps entering a relationship with Calyx right off the bat. Its a slow burn. Meeps has to deal with a few things first and Calyx...needs to learn how to live on the moment.

This brings me back to Sphene: I think I will keep Meeps's brief relationship with Sphene in. It adds some interesting things. Sphene is the first person Meeps has felt a real connection to in a long time (years, even. She never dated anyone after Elidibus's death). Even though they weren't together long, I think she really saw a future with her and was looking forward to bringing Sphene to her home in the Lavender Beds. But Sphene chose her duty to the Alexandrian people. Hearing her say "duty" likely gave Meeps flashbacks of Elidibus.

Speaking of Elidibus/Themis: she can finally deal with the random memories she gets of her past life as Selene and her romance with the Emissary. Calyx can seal them back off so she is no longer haunted by them. She can finally feel more like herself and not somewhere between Meeps and Selene. This will help to bring her closer to Calyx in the long run.

give them a variety of exes. give them relationships that shaped who they are but did not last. give them people they tried very hard to love but it didn't work out. give them situationships that taught them things. give them something deep that was real but could not endure. things that hurt. things that ended amicably. people with whom hot passion cooled to warm affection and became undying friendship.

no more first and only. give me the context of what made them know the next or one after was final and right.
