Nothing Beats the Classic (Avatar)

While a majority of the SecondLife collective have graduated to mesh bodies, there will always be “n00bs” or those who actually prefer the classic avatar. There are even some, like myself, who still use a classic avatar for various purposes. Myself I use them for a low lag substitute for events, in RP sims, and sometimes just to cosplay as someone or something different. I like the flexibility of being able to go “non-mesh” on occasion. 

So you can expect that I will always post System Avatar/Classic Avvie freebies and dollarbies when I find them and what better way to start off then this!

Another MP/MarketPlace find. I saw this and immediately put it in my cart. Not only is it great for Pride Month but also great for those Kawaii/Lolli looks, a nice 1980′s look and it’s very versatile. 

There are two other freebies in the store, plus a gothic dollarbie. The rest of the store is also very affordable with prices ranging from 5L to 149L. Why so high? Because this store happens to also cater to Mesh. Slink nails and Catwa heads to be exact. You know my rule. Unless I myself can wear it, I won’t feature it. 

There are more classic/system makeup pallets in the store for higher prices which look just as good as the above freebie. So if you are a classic avatar that’s looking for a better grade of classic cosmetic? This is one of those stores for you. I know it made my favorites list.

I know it’s been awhile but RL started to take precedence over online life and even SL. I also needed to figure out how I want to do this blog. I don’t want it to be another blog just dedicated to freebies and dollarbies, or just solely dedicated to just fashion, or just to mesh. I wanted to incorporate all the things I love and all the gripes I currently have with SL blogging and work off of that.

I guess to start, I don’t have a Maitreya body. I have Tonic Curvy. Down the line I may buy a Maitreya body, if only because it is obvious that there is a design favoritism for it especially when it comes to gachas and some stores (mostly the Gachas, I have lost track of how many adorable outfits I had to miss out on because “Maitreya exclusive”). So as far as content on my blog goes unless the freebie or dollarbie or special deal includes Tonic and or Fitmesh sizing, I won’be posting it. I think that is fair considering in order for me to meet part two of my goal, which is to also include fashion shots the finds have to fit the body I have.

I also want to be a resource for those who have not gone mesh and still need Classic clothing. Which is why I created an Alt that is Classic/Fitmesh only. I find a lot of stores on the MP that offer free or 1L clothing & such for classic Avatars and it just seems right to share that info. Because nobody should “have” to buy a mesh body if they don’t want too.

I also do not currently own a Catwa or Lelutka mesh head, but I will post all cosmetic or nail deals I come across because I snag them anyways as I do plan on investing in one of each and I use Omega. I do have a Genesis mesh head, as well as two basic mesh heads from Altamura. I will always, ALWAYS, post hair deals. I will also always post shoe deals.

As I come across them, I will post deals for Kemono & other Alternative avatars. Why? Because we are all made of stars and I am a Neko and Kawaii lover. 

I will also post events, home and decor items, hunts and weekly sales. Lets get back into the swing of things I guess??

Paying It Forward

Hey dolls!! I’m nursing a concussion right now from a nasty fall yesterday. Despite that, as I was out grocery shopping yesterday a woman ahead of me in line was short 10.00 on her food order. Sadly we live in a world now where most people would just awkwardly try not to make eye contact as she was forced to put items back. On a personal level I know what that struggle is like. My family and I have been there. I’m fortunate enough to have a fiancee who helps support me. So I paid it forward. I covered her 10.00.

To me, it was nothing. A kind gesture. To the employees of the store, especially our checkout clerk, they acted as if I had performed a miracle. They weren’t used to seeing kindness like that. So it was a bit ironic for me to log on today to see the Paying It Forward event.

The event showcases numerous popular and upcoming designers and also offers free gifts. Just check each stall for a red package. You have to join the group to get the gifts, but the group is free. Eye Love Lolita

Yet another post darlings. It seems Wretch is hiding some nifty little freebies on their second floor. I came for the gacha, I stayed for the treasure trove hidden on the second floor!! Gothic Lolita is one of my dark little pleasures. Eyes are a way of life for me. So when I found myself on the second floor of Wretch, I was pleasantly surprised to find free Lolita dresses and free eyes!!

Yes. Those are all free. Perfect for the EGL in you, Halloween, costume ball, or just because you want to feel fancy! There is no group needed for these either. Now if kinky is more your thing....

Is it night or morning?

Alright snappers. It is almost 6:30am where I am. I haven’t been to bed, BUT, I’ve been in SL all night. I’ve also been lurking in the MP. I have a pre-birthday bash (for myself) later today but right now I have some party favors for you. If there is one thing in SL that I love with a passion, it’s hair. My Invy is full of hair.
