Washing a car with a pressure washer
Spray the detergent and let it act. Preferably work in the shade, drying too quickly leaves traces that are difficult to remove. To scrub the bodywork, use a soft wash brush. Then a rotating brush with hard bristles to effortlessly clean the rims. When rinsing, reduce the pressure or work at a sufficient distance (30 cm on average) not to damage the paint. The angled lance makes it possible to spray the sills and reach every nook and cranny. Never use high pressure on the coverings (Blackson type) protecting the underside of the car. Also banned, engine cleaning: electrical and electronic circuits do not appreciate this shock treatment. The power of the jet also risks unblocking the oil amalgam which contributes to the sealing of old seals.

Diversify functions
Supplied or optional accessories expand the uses of the HP cleaner. The hydro-sandblasting kit allows, with special sand, to strip old paints and to remove rust from garden tools and other metal parts. Remember to let the stripped surfaces dry thoroughly before starting to finish. The pipe unblocker consists of a nozzle mounted at the end of a flexible hose. It dissolves blockages while self-propelling in the pipes thanks to lateral retro-jets. The spray nozzle makes it possible to spray inaccessible trees or shrubs with phytosanitary products diluted in advance.
Storage and maintenance
Close the water supply and pull the trigger to release the pressure in the circuit before storing the device. Grease the bayonet fittings at regular intervals. Wind the high pressure hose without making any knots or breaks to avoid damaging its wire mesh. Store the device in a dry room. If it cannot be stored frost-free, suck an automotive antifreeze, based on propylene glycol, into the pump. Uneven pressure indicates clogging or scaling of the nozzle. Use the cleaning needle, normally supplied, to clear its opening. The water inlet includes a sieve filter, the cleanliness of which must also be checked frequently. Most HP cleaners today are lubricated for life. It is therefore no longer necessary to add oil regularly or to perform periodic oil changes. A detail to check however on the instructions of the device! If necessary, use the oil recommended by the manufacturer, and top up if there is any shortage. Otherwise, the pistons will seize up, and the device will deteriorate definitively!
