Honey and Heather Photo gave me the most exquisite shots from our Alecto photoshoot, aka AL Couture, aka Saltwater Creature. She has. So many names.

This project was also a stash buster, using up 2 existing costumes that had run their course (including my last Alecto look) and a lot of other materials I had collected over the years. There are also 9 skulls hidden throughout this gown. :3

it started with me just trying to sketch alecto in photoshop but then I got mad at photoshop and moved to sai and got carried away

gideon nav loves like a dog who grew up with nothing but a chain around her neck and a bowl of dirty water and that knows that the hand that feeds her is the very same hand that beats her but she still can't help but wag her tail a little when she sees her owner approach

so we all agree gideon died after the avulsion trial right?? like palamedes thought she should be dead,

or in a coma,

and her wounds (which in this case should be severe brain damage at the least) don't magically heal any different to anyone else, considering she'd probably notice if they did after a lifetime of fighting w/ harrow, so like i think she just died lmao?? after the trial we also get one of gideon's supposed fakeouts,

and with tasmuir's love of extreme foreshadowing, i think the "air of resurrection" gideon felt was an actual resurrection lmao.

considering all this, im imagining her immortality (?) is more like she CAN die, but she can also come back, which also hard resets her body back to usual health. the only reason this didn't work after being railed (sorry lol) is because harrow was holding gideon's soul, preventing it from returning to her body.

im guessing this is also the reason why john couldn't resurrect her? idk im so confused why he didn't do it considering so far it doesn't seem to do anything but hurt her, but if harrow absorbed part of gideon's soul, maybe a full resurrection isn't possible?? (if anyone has any ideas about this pls lmk)

the immortality as death-and-rebirth rather than never-dying also adds up in regards to john. at the end of htn, he acknowledges the fact that dominicus WAS affected by mercymorn blowing him up,

implying that he did actually stop powering the sun for a moment, which makes sense if he DID die and come back! very interested in how this will affect things in atn...

the problem with griddlehark is that Gideon desperately wants to be a well used chewtoy but Harrow has carefully put her up on the shelf like she is a limited edition funko pop still in the box
