holy crap you guys are super freaking NICE the nicest ever. ;__;
some of you are asking how I did my snow gif
Heres a shitty sketch I did beforehand to see if the theory could work with my cartoony style. I’ve only seen this kinda gif with photos so I thought cartoons might look a little derpy
It worked well enough, so I proceeded to do something nicer and cleaned up
Basically it’s one drawing tweaked into 2 unique frames. Slap some nice lineart up there, duplicate it, and then get to tweaking your duplicate. Set it up so you can turn your top layers visibility on and off like animating in a flipbook. Subtly push and pull certain areas of the lineart until it appears to be sliiiiightly rotating in a direction.
Looks cool with just two frames but you can also fudge a third in-between hybrid frame by laying one layer on top of the other and decreasing it’s opacity and then flattening them both.
now go draw cool gifs cuz I wanna see em

My Favorite Latin Phrases Pt.4
A long time ago, I actually feel like years ago, I did Latin phrases pt.3. And I don't know how I remembered to do it again, but at a whim, I just decided to learn more phrases. So, here you go:
ad undas
to the waves/to hell (sounds something that Sylvia Plath would probably write)
per noctem in nihilo vehil
to vanish by night into nothing (a sentence actually)
sic mundus creatus est
thus the world was created
tempus edax rerum
time, devourer of everything
luctor et emergo
I struggle and emerge
factum fieri infectum non potest
it is impossible for a deed to be undone
aquila non capit muscas
the eagle does not catch flies (this phrase has such a deep meaning and can be applied in various scenarios. But I can mostly think of it in a political way. LOL)
persona non grata
an unwelcome person (I have an abundance of these in my life.)
mea culpa
by my fault (V for Vendetta anyone?)
vera sumnio
I dream true things
multa paucis
say much in few words
amor vincit omnia
love conquers all
carpe vinum

ab uno disce omnes
from one, learn all (love this reference to God.)
cor cordium
heart of hearts
amor fati
love of one's fate (never knew amor fati meant this.)
ex luna scientia
from the moon, knowledge (dark academia vibes)
aut viam inveniam aut faciam
I will either find a way or make one
in fragrante delicto
In flaming offense
vox populi
voice of the people (V for Vendetta again)
si quaeris peninsulam amoenam circumspice
if you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you (Michigan state motto)
acta deos numquam mortalia fallunt
mortal actions never deceive the God
quid pro quo
something for something (or this for that)
nemo mortalium cmnibus horis sapit
of mortal men, none is wise at all times
ipso facto
by that very fact (mostly used in philosophy, science, and law, etc)
lupus non timet canem latrantem
a wolf is not afraid of a barking dog (I'm trying to become this wolf)
in absentia
while absent (used in legal stuff)
astra inclinant sed non obligant
the stars incline us but do not bind us (I'm going crazy over this sentence)
prima facie
on first view (another legal term)
and the best for the last which I read in a blog;
in girum imus nocte et consumimur
we enter the circle by night and are consumed by the fire (read the Latin sentence backward, it's actually a palindrome!)
If you have more to add, please do it happily. I would love to learn about your favorite phrases, no matter what language they belong to. Because I think, the choice of words of a person tells a lot about them.

“Carry ruin like a flower. Or like a crown. How enviable autumn with its leaves that sink in gorgeous splendor to the earth’s bed.”

[Original: Llevar la decrepitud como una flor. O como una corona. Es envidiable el otoño, la segura y hermosa dignidad con que se acuestan las hojas de los árboles sobre la tierra.]
