I've been thinking A LOT this year about how different things could really be. one small thing done different could have completely changed the course of my life.

this year I had a mental breakdown. its honestly the only way I can describe it. I had a breakdown and I quit my job. then I gave amazon a shot and hated it. I quit after 2 weeks. and once I realized I was jobless I stepped back and looked at my life for a minute. with a clear mind for the first time in at least 2 years. so I took a break. I took a TWO MONTH MUCH NEEDED "VACATION". I didn't have a job for 2 months. for the first time in 6 years I didn't have to work on the 4th of july. gor the first time in 6 years I didn't have to worry about who was struggling at work and feeling guilty for letting them.. for the first time in 6 years I got to enjoy my summer with literally no worries except what spf sunscreen to use.🌞 Lol after 2 months off work enjoying my summer I finally buckled down and started job hunting and went back to work. then it hit me. I gave up my vacation time, my 401k and my insurance. 🤦‍♀️ so I thought long and hard about what it would really look like working full time without insurance through a company. so I thought very seriously about going back to mcdonalds. at first it was a hard no. absolutely not would I torture myself by going back and being miserable again. not after I clawed my way out kicking and screaming. but then I realized that I faced one of my biggest fears. I walked away. so now I know I can leave. just like that. so I made a final decision. I'll go back on one condition. that condition was with myself. that I would fix my own problems before they got so bad that I wanted to die. that this time around I wouldn't be miserable. and being back, I can't stop thinking about how different things would be if I had never got this job to begin with. because never in a million years did I think when I started at McDonald's that I would make friends, BUT I DID. not just work friends. but real friends. we go out to dinner, we talk on the phone, I go to their kids' birthday parties, we hang out outside of work. we're real friends. every single friendship is different. no two are the same. and even though more days are bad than good at work, I'll be forever grateful of the day I decided to get a job at McDonald's. because it changed my life in ways I'll never be able to completely understand!🥰 everything happens for a reason. sometimes its hard to accept but I do truly believe it. it was a true blessing. the bad days were so bad. but the good days? the days I look at these girls I get to call my friends who 6 and a half years ago were just strangers? those days are worth it!!💜🔮😘 #mcfam #blessings #reflection 11.5.20
