Hello! Is anybody out there! I recently re-discovered this account and was just wandering if I started churning out some stuffy old asks in my inbox would anyone be interested? I’ll probably do it anyway but it could be fun to hear what others think!

Alright I’m just going to take a minute here to explain why I’ve flaked out on my talk about being more active on this blog when season four came out. I’ve watched the first three episodes of the latest season now and am walking away from each honestly a little disappointed. I love this show. I adore the cast and crew. And I’ve always been wholeheartedly invested in it’s characters...but the plots however have lost traction with me. From season one to the end of season three the recycling of themes, conflicts and scapegoats has begun to put me off. Specifically, the “no time, no choice” and “everything that can go wrong will go wrong” directions.
I’ve spoke about this before, and I’ll happily say it again.
A good show, in my opinion, is a balanced show.
I don’t enjoy following a main character that smiles genuinely maybe four or five times a season. I don’t enjoy watching one of my favourite character’s be mentally and physically tortured for six episodes straight with no end in sight. I don’t enjoy watching my favourite character be tossed and turned in conflicting directions that are poorly explained and judged. Does that mean the scenes aren’t amazingly filmed and acted? No. It just means that it’s a challenging thing for me personally and I feel that it’s a poor representation of life. I get the settings, situations and relationships on the show are usually harsh, complicated and fall into the ‘grey area of morals’ often. But I need the positive side too to really enjoy viewing. I need humour, hope and honest solutions as well as alI the bad.
Before you tell me to go watch the Teletubbies if I’m looking for rainbows and sunshine, please understand that I love the nitty gritty stuff too. I like shows that reflect. I like shows that make you think. And the 100 was that. And probably still is for many other people. Just not for me anymore.
I feel hounded by unnecessary ultimatums, war, hate and death by my once favourite tv show and that sucks. Season’s four end-goal may be hope and peace. Maybe. The season my have it’s shining moments. But right now, I’m just not sure if I’ll be watching. So to you guys, I’m sorry. I really am.

I only ever thought there were two kinds of loves: the kind you would kill for and the kind you would die for. but you, my darling, you were the kind of love i would live for. (insp.)
