I’ve never met a more precise and discerning artist in my life. I admire Amy’s dedication to perfecting a single image. That also takes serious patience. This piece is the exact example of my thoughts. Bravo Amy!
Coming and going..
This was taken last year in between lockdowns, I've not been back to the city centre since, a trip into town is needed.. This is 17 seperate images stacked together in Affinity Photo.. Tone mapping is something in trying out, I'm not a huge fan normally, but I found it really makes the details pop.
Is it just me, or is the tumblr compression worse recently?

How I wish I could see this show!! Sounds so innovative and stimulating. You’re rocking it Matthew!
Image #8014 (Inverse version)
.
As an exhibition @tinningstreet , will soon be announced (Southcott x Schiavello),
I thought I would share a piece that was made during the long process of art making and concept development. This piece did not make the final cut, but was instrumental in the progression of ideas.
.
@beverley_southcott and I, swapped photographic images and reimaged them. I zoomed in on small colour elements of her work, and then printed sheets of colour from these and using these sheets, as well as the original images, I cut up, folded, and/or crumbled the works, to then be re-photographed. I used a mixture of digital photography, film photography (using C41, E6 and B&W film, as well as boiling some of the film) , and techniques like multiple exposure and using the negative or positive versions of the images.
