PSA- RESPECTING MUSES OF POWER

       This has to be said because personally I am tired of having to establish this again and again. And it has to do with RESPECTING MUSES OF POWER. And this includes and it never limited any official canon stated titles and positions. Be it Ruthless Queens, Hard Kings, Gang Leaders, or Apocalyptic Masterminds with barb wired bats. Somewhere there is always a nice chunk of muses who are always trying to either; 1) Defy, 2) Rebel, or 3) 1 & 2 but with a try at badass snark. This PSA is concerning all of the above, and all that are included within the category of muses of power.

      It is so important that this made clear that when being a MUSE OF POWER there is something that accompanies that and it is exactly that. POWER. Muses of power ACTUALLY hold a fair amount of ACTUAL power over most muses. Especially if it’s in their favored canon timeline. A Queen or King can have a man executed for speaking foul words against them, or the Apocalyptic Mastermind can have someone beat up and locked away because he damn well felt like it. That’s because they hold a certain amount of real power to do so. And it’s so important that with MUSES OF POWER that this is respected. I’m so tired of seeing muses try to be the FORCE OF GOOD or the REBEL OF LAW and the muns get all upset because the MUSE OF POWER in question reacted accordingly.

     This is also me making note that a MUSE OF POWER is not required at all to be nice or friendly toward anyone, not everyone is kind or courteous.  And neither is a MUSE OF POWER required to be so. Do not show up and expect someone to be loving of this or that muse just because sweet words were given.

       IT IS ALSO RUDE TO USE STEREOTYPICAL NEGATIVE BELIEFS OR NEGATIVE TRAITS AND MISCONCEPTIONS JUST TO CREATE ONE SIDED ANGST FOR YOUR SIDE  TO MAKE THE MUSE OF POWER LOOK LIKE AN ASSHOLE AND YOURS THE SWEET CORRUPTED INNOCENT.

      If the defiance and rebuttal is plotted; then it is alright. Because both of the muns have a full understanding of what is happening and the consequences of said actions. WHICH THERE IS ALWAYS CONSEQUENCES WHERE MUSES OF POWER ARE CONCERNED. You insult someone or spit in their face- I can personally promise you something bad is going to happen. But again, plotted and planned, are always acceptable because as I said. Everyone is on an understanding and everyone is on the same page.

    all in all:  RESPECT MUSES OF POWER

So remember how I used to be active?

Well, then I got locked out of my account for FOREVER while google refused to tell me my email name. SO, I’m back in now after much effort and wasted time. I’m NOT jumping into activity right away. Instead I’m going to take some time, get involved withsome Torchwood and re-vamp this blog. 

I’ve grown as a writer since I was here last and I think that Jack could benifit from the sort of update my OC blog, Sephyr Steele just got. (Click his name to check him out!)

I’ll never get over how much the Cyberwoman costume ruined that episode. I mean it’s such an /amazing/ episode with so much emotion and terror…but it just comes off as comical when you look at that suit. Like I get it, I’m not a straight guy and they wanted to go for the iconic sexy cyborg look that’s such a huge part of sci fi history, but they could have done so much better. I think some sort of brilliant, creative, geometric metal corset/breastplate-like piece would have looked so modern with just a hint of sexiness. I’d really like to draw that, because I just can’t stand that Lisa’s supposed to look like she was ripped from the machines turning her into a monster and /that’s/ what the “machines” did to her. This post was supposed to be about costume choices but the fact that they sexualized the horrific experience she went through pisses me off so much and it cheapens the story

“Yea’, I’m terrified.” Rose admitted, looking over her shoulder when she thought she heard a noise. “Are you scared?” She shot back, before rolling her eyes. “Fine,” she grumbled, knowing that they couldn’t leave right away.

She took off her backpack and pulled out her head torch, as well as the handheld one. Rose also placed her gun in her back pocket, even though she didn’t like to use them. “Let’s get this over with, yea’?”

“Come on.” 

Jack moved along the corridor, ignoring the moment when the door behind them snapped shut. That certainly could have been the wind, right? He sighed lightly, hating the shivering feeling up his spine. Death itself didn’t scare Jack Harkness, so what did this house have that did. 

“Do you want to split up?” He asked, knowing she wanted to get out of there.

“Why? You scared?” Jack chuckled lightly, but it didn’t last very long. He shifted a bit as they entered the house properly, his expression changing to one of fair concern. “You’re a Torchwood Agent, Rose. You know we can’t just leave it.”

The house around them almost shuddered at their entrance. Jack could feel the house almost settle, as though it was buckling down for the long haul. He’d never felt something like this place and it brought something he hadn’t felt in a long time with it. Fear. He could honestly say the feel of this place scared him, but the immortal knew too well nothing was going to kill him. It was just a matter of overcoming whatever they faced because it certainly wasn’t going to get the better of Jack Harkness. 

“Lets just do a sweep. If we see anything we stay. If we don’t, we go.”

“Jack, do we really have to do this? This place is creepy.”

After receiving an anonymous tip off of strange occurrences, the two of them were investigating Dante Manor. The building had been abandoned for many years, and looked like a ‘haunted’ house straight out of a fairy-tale. Big iron security gate, and boarded windows and doors. On the inside, the place was thick with dust, whatever furniture was left was covered in dust sheets.

“C’mon Jack, there’s nothin’ here.” Rose instantly got a bad vibe when they walked through the place, and instantly wanted to leave. “It’s pointless.”
