Day 28, snippets and kisses

Now kisseth. Here's some arts. I was really tempted to call these sketches, but they're really not. These are some of the few arts that came about during my recovery for the past few weeks that I really liked.

Day 27, 105 hours

It took me. 105. hours. To finish this piece :0

I hope yall's weeks have been better than mine TwT. No air conditioning in either of our cars, the mechanics have been blowing us off about, AND we got sick with fevers/colds, it was miserable. I was practically withering away in bed cuz I got hit the hardest ;v;

But anyways, it's them. The boys! They're on a pier. Cuz I love the beach <3

This piece wasn't supposed to take this long! It was a digital sketch that I was gonna polish up a bit, but I ended up adding more to it as I continued.

I was loosely inspired by those dramatic "catching the love interest when they trip/fall" trope in manhwa cuz it makes me so unreasonably happy. I think its soo cute!

Anyways, I should've mentioned this before but I won't be able to do an everyday upload, more like an every other day thing. But I was wondering if yall have any Kuzusouda requests? They wouldn't be full pieces, more like detailed sketches, but I'd like to hear yall's ideas. I dunno, I think it'd be nice to do a little collaboration with you guys. (o3o)/ Inbox? Ask box? DMs? ...they're open, send me ideas and I'll interpret them :3

BONUS ART: xSplatoon

Squid kids. Man, this game had me obsessed for almost an entire year. I was there the moment Splatoon 3 released. Dunno what weapons they'd main specifically but Fuyuhiko might do well with Dualies, especially if paired with Peko and a Splatana. Kazuichi would prolly mesh the best with a Charger.

I think this was the second digital art piece I did since the beginning of my lil challenge. A fun and little journey to understanding and finding a painting style with Ibis, my main art program.

Day 26, glimpses of a future

Hai, guess who's back, back again. (o3o)/

See, see, I couldn't come up with a good name for today's art but this will do.

It's been oh so very busy in the real world but I'm back and better than ever. Maybe. I'll try. ...I'm not the best at keeping promises.

Anyways, here's some more art for my AU of the boys (well, they're technically men, huh). I've talked about it, but the better explanation is that it's about Kazuichi, and most of their classmates, following Fuyuhiko and becoming part of the Kuzuryuu Clan, or heavily affiliated.

I mentioned that there were two versions, but now there's three versions of this AU: the first focuses on relationships and friendships between the SDR2 cast, the second has a heavy focus on Kuzusouda and certain ships that also introduced the idea of some of my fankids, and the third is more geared to Kuzupeko and other ships I wanted to explore, with a new cast of fankids. I want to share art of these AUs that doesn't focus on Kuzusouda but I kinda need to make them first XP

Anyways, as the title suggests, today's arts are little glimpses of what this Kuzusouda AU looks like for these guys. AND I finally have some actual bonuses for you all.

For some fun little tidbits of context, the main art today was an idea of a very unfortunate meeting with the new head of the Kuzuryuu Clan, his right hand man, and some of his most trusted men. Let me know if you can figure out who's there.

Really, this art was an excuse to put my newfound digital skills to the test, cuz I threw myself in a training arc during most of my free time these past months. The one thing I'm sad about is that I just couldn't make the smoke from the cigarette work.

As for the bonuses, it includes a sample from a study of old people and wrinkles that spiraled into full body designs of Fuyuhiko and Kazuichi as older men, the walk back home from a late night date after some business was taken care of, and a self-indulgent doodle of the Kuzuryuu family when the kids were more baby.

Day 25, golden hour

AAA, I'm so happy with the gradients on this one :D

It was past school hours by the end of the fic and I ran with it because I've been wanting to make a golden hour-esque piece. It always makes me feel so happy, it's the time when my day is the liveliest cause I get to be home with my favorite people. ^^

But anyways, I was envisioning more of a golden hour through a window so here's an alt (ow<)/

Six more days fellas, cuz I'm going by December time. Totally nailed that :D

Day 24, reds

Here's the next installment of fanfic inspired arts. It does get spicy and has some violent descriptions so read at your own discretion. But then again, anything involving the Remnants isn't exactly fluffy.

I love seeing other people's interpretation of the Remnants and I wanna explore them too, but that'll be for later. Sorry, I got nothing extra to add. I do, just don't know how to word it atm :/ :D

So hiii, I'm not dead, but also not 100% back. Adulting is hard, and finding the energy to do anything else is hard. But anyways, I really liked that fanfic and thought, 'wow lemme find some fanfics that inspire me to draw' and 'I should do a small series of digital arts to finish up the final week of my challenge'. I do plan on finishing it, as said before but I'll likely finish it by the end of February, at the most.

Hopefully less than that, but it shall be finished regardless \(>A<)/

Day 22? Day 22, flirty

Lookie, I made a background! This piece has caused me trouble, and I'm not fully happy with the end result but I'm still so proud of it!

I'm not happy in the sense that it's not what I envisioned in terms of shading, lighting, rendering, yada yada yada, but I'm so proud of myself regardless because I've got a ways to go with this medium (but also i got lazy and its been three[four] days.) (>◇<)/ I prefer my traditional art but it just wasn't coming out the way I wanted! First I couldn't find decent references so I fused two pictures of myself, made the sketch on Ibis, tried recreating it on paper but in the end I got frustrated and I liked the digital sketch so! This is the end product :3

Anyways back to the boys, I wanted Fuyuhiko to be the one holding Kaz's chin, but I like seeing Fuyuhiko blush so please, accept the alt

I think it's so cute when people blush and their ears turn red <3

This piece is super indulgent for me. All of my art is indulgent but still! Here's my headcanon for it: Kazuichi would be more nervous to initiate touch at the beginning of their relationship, mostly for fear of crossing a boundary, so Fuyuhiko ends up being the one to initiate hand-holding, do a side hug or place his hand on Kaz's waist to encourage cuddling, any of the standard 'couple' or 'romantic' gestures. It wouldn't take too long for Kazuichi to find the confidence to be more affectionate but since they'd likely keep their relationship hidden for a while, any PDA that can't be passed off as regular, friendly interactions are off-limits.

Which means they'd wait to be 100% alone in private to be affectionate, so this would take place a year or more later, when they're out and give less of a dam. Kazuichi would be more touchy but not exactly flirty, and when he does attempt to, it falls a little flat from either his awkwardness or lack of confidence. So the times he does flirt successfully are very impactful. As for Fuyuhiko, he also isn't super flirtatious by nature but he's got more confidence to pull it off. And Kazuichi is a bit more easily flustered by words than Fuyuhiko is, so most of what the blonde says to Kazuichi ends up with him blushing and feeling fuzzy. But that's my personal headcanon, what about you? :v

Day 21, no title, just blue hair

C'mon, if Kazuichi's gonna dye his hair, he'd probably try out other colors, me thinks. Other than that, I just wanted them to hug and be affectionate :3

Day 20, confession(s)

Playing around with water color, now if only I had actual water color paper...

I started with the texture of the wall, I think it's referred to as a popcorn texture? but the color I chose as the shadows was much closer to black than I wanted it to be when I put it on the paper. So, moral of the story is swatch your colors beforehand. TwT

Day 18, experimenting with clothes

I had this one since like day 6 but I just couldn't figure out what to have them wear! I went through my closet and made outfits for the pair. On one hand, I wanna give them fitting outfits, but on the other, I have the power to dress them up however I want! It's all about being happy with what you create :D

Anyways, lil (long) side story, my wonderful and oh so lovely sibling took one glance at Kazuichi and promptly called him a femboy and that singular, impulsively blurted observation KILLED me. It's funny! Because I've been drawing them without referencing their ACTUAL appearances on any official art. I've been drawing them the way I wanna, like Kaz with curly and healthy hair when I know DAMN WELL that man's hair would likely make an loud crunch sound if you grabbed a handful of it.

Or with Fuyuhiko, but that's mostly because I'm not confident with buzzcuts. And sometimes I forget to add his very much prominent facial features 0x0 I'm happy drawing them the way I have been but I'm also gonna attempt to be more faithful to their original cuz my sibling's right- I've been making them, Kaz in particular, more feminine than I intended to.

Anyways, I've been playing the new Pokémon game with my cousins and it's reignited my Pokémon trainer design phase from the trainer customization screen so uhh, I'm gonna go find my old pdf of the Dangan-Pokemon au I made like 5 years ago and revise the ideas I had in there. I think that au was genuinely one of the first few things that had me shipping Danganronpa characters for the first time (ovo`)

Day 17, overworked.

Hey, is another redraw!

My initial idea was to have them in a library setting during finals or smth. I dont really know why but I like the idea better of Fuyuhiko powering through paperwork with the power of straight black coffee. Kazuichi would try to help him, but he'd probably make the process worse, so he'll help in smaller ways and moral support. -w-

I think I've Pavloved myself into giving Kaz those eyebrow piercings because I didn't intend on giving him those for this drawing but I lined the eyebrow and immediately drew the piercings before I could stop myself. Other than that I'm really happy with the coloring! :D

Day 16, sad babies. Hii, so, for Navidad, my girls got me flipaclip plus and I've been working on like seven different animation wips for various projects so uhh, now there's more Kuzusouda animatics in the works :0 but they'll be a while ;P

Y'know, I've been thinking about it and I'm realizing that i don't put much thought into what general age they are whenever I draw them, cuz sometimes I give Fuyuhiko his scar and sometimes I don't :v But this one in particular is definitely from their time in Hope's Peak, cuz it's inspired from the headcanon that I've seen floating around on Tumblr and AO3 that they'd part ways before graduation if they got together.

I see it, I SEE THE APPEAL, but I personally prefer happy endings and just seeing characters be happy :)

Day 14, rainy day!

Like, really rainy. Flash flood rainy, it was so much fun just jamming out to music as the boys and I sped into the water before it got too overrun >:D it was a calculated risk, so happy we went in the truck yeh
