They Come and Go Like Seasons

Why do all of my friendships seem to be seasonal?

It only lasts for the summer,

Late night texting,

The dim light of my phone screen shining onto my face in the dark as I send my last text before falling asleep content.

And then fall descends and it’s abruptly over.

No more late night texts,

Only the sound of the heater pumping a warm breeze through the house and my own heartbeat thudding in my ears.

I just love this scene so much. Jack not really understanding what is happening and feeling helpless. Sam being the voice of reason - He is not sugar coating the situation because he doesn’t really know what will happen, but he is willing to try his best to help Jack and treat him as a human being. Who better to understand Jack than Sam. He must see so much of himself in Jack. Also, it’s great to see how well Sam understands Dean’s mindset.
