    “Your tower? What do you mean by that? You were in a tower beforehand?” Naturally, that would be the part that stuck out the most to him. She was a prisoner at some point? “Is… Is this Gothel a bounty hunter or something? Were you a criminal at some point in the past?”

    Somehow, he didn’t feel comfortable with any of those guesses he was throwing out. They just didn’t seem to be likely, but there was a bit of uncertainty to the young woman’s responses as well.

                    “No--- no, not a criminal,” she countered with a pinching of her face to show the increasing worry within.

           She struggled with the trepidation, wondered if she could HONESTLY reveal the truth to him when for years she had been spoon fed LIES from the other woman --- been told that her power would only be used against her and others would be after her. If Gothel had been wrong about the world then perhaps she had also been wrong about her.

             “I have a secret --- if I tell people about it they might...use it against me. At least that’s what she told me.                  This secret is the reason she’s after me...it’s something I have to protect but I haven’t told anyone about it because-----well...”

                 “What if I tell them and they end up in danger because of me? Gothel might---go after them because of me. I don’t want that. I have to protect everyone from her...”

Love letter: Mongrel, you are not worthy to request such a form of literal affection from he who walks the path of the gods. But if I must continue I will say this, I am intrigued by your convictions and ideal to which I have decided to claim ownership over you as well. It matters not what you think because an item has no right to an opinion.

              Parchment crinkled within her hand as she held it close, eyes of green hazel moving from line to line, reading each word, taking in each phrase properly and breaking down the over all meaning ------- it had been titled a love letter ( the feeling initially sending a tiny leap of her heart ) but the words that followed left her feeling colder.

              It reminded her TOO MUCH of Gothel!

             Did....she send this person after me....How else would he know about me..? I haven’t used my hair in front of anyone!

               Her heart hammered from within and despite it more constant beat did little to warm her body and left her cold. She had to flee from this area and find somewhere to hide --- she couldn’t risk ANYONE getting hurt because of her.

                Despite wishing she could dispose of the letter, Rapunzel tucked it away, standing to begin her journey to hide herself out where no one would find her.

             “Gothel is....someone that’s been chasing me since I left my tower. I don’t------know why she keeps chasing me...”

                        Now you’re resorting to lying?

              “---but she isn’t resting until she captures me and takes me back. I’ve managed to keep away from her until now..” Even though she’s found me a few times... “And I’m still trying to find a way to get her to leave me alone.”

Calling out on an old friend that reminded me about my love for my Garnet muse....makes me want to jump back on her.

And then I made the mistake of looking at my old Van Fanel blog since I managed to secure his name as a url without any fancy letters being added...I miss that muse too.
