Florentine’s expression becomes troubled— though her mask hides it— and she stands up. “It’s not safe for you to be down here, we should go back to the surface before the empress arrives. She doesn’t tolerate strangers being in her colony.”

Pretty music? She must’ve been imagining things, after all, this is a city repressed of sound. Everyone had taken an oath of silence except for a handful of cookies, ones who had come from other lands. Even so, she wasn’t allowed to talk often.

Florentine Cookie began cleaning up their mugs quickly and grabs Cocoa Cookie by the wrist, hurrying toward the main tunnel that led to outside. How a guard didn’t see her, she had no clue, but it seemed like this cookie had luck on her side. Perhaps if they both made it out alive, Florentine could work in a few questions about how life was on the surface. She hadn’t been in society for years now.

Veiled Belladonna doesn’t even need to turn their head to know who it is. They simply bring a hand up to pat the other’s face affectionately and readjust the flower crown from their eyes. It’s their way of saying thank you, without actually speaking. Sparkling Water understood.

Florentine considers it for a moment, before agreeing. What was the harm in it? Her help wasn’t needed at the time anyway. “That’d be nice.”

She introduces herself as they settle near the kitchen, watching as the other cookie prepares her a cup of hot chocolate. She handles it with her modica chocolate gauntlets and thanks Cocoa Cookie. It was a tricky process, having had to learn how to drink and eat through a mask that was permanently attached to her face, but she managed.

She set her cup down after a short sip, skipping the formalities and getting straight to the point. “Pardon me for being blunt, but how did you get down here? Only a select few cookies know how to access this hive.” Her Empress didn’t allow any outsider cookies to leave once they knew about this location, to limit the chance of more seeking it out.

- she is apart of the Doñas De Fuera, which are essentially Sicilian witches/faeries (correct me if I’m wrong), and is ageless

- she is pretty similar to Financier Cookie, in the sense she has a royal figure to protect (her name is Passionfruit Pavlova Cookie) who is a duchess
