i always find the concept of late night thoughts funny because you go Horizontal for the night and all of the sudden your brain goes “dude. you’ll never GUESS what i’ve been cooking up all day.”

okay so i see a lot of people with post loop hatchy being an incredible pilot, i propose the following.

hatchy is great at one way trips. in the loops they would get to their destination half dead and their ship being in a worse state than a crushed soda can, but it doesn’t matter because they got there and they got there fast. everything else would work itself out in a couple of minutes. 🙂‍↕️

they gotta relearn how to focus on their safety. they had gotten so used to not caring if them or their ship gets beat up, because it’ll be there next loop!

yes, they were trained on flight safety, but they were on a time crunch for the entirety of the loops. screw that stuff, they gotta make it to the ash twin and the a dark bramble in under an hour.

if they get in a post loop situation, they’d probably grab feldspar and come back with a half destroyed ship and a broken toe or something. they’d be like “awe crud. this isn’t gonna fix itself in a few minutes, i gotta face the wrath of slate now ☹️”
