Well, his adventure was a traumatic event for sure. (I mean, isn't every adventure like that?)

Probably, he spend the next year stuck close to Aryll, fearing she may be kidnapped again. Probably, he slept besides his gradma in difficult nights, wanting to feel her breath and be certain that she was going to live another day. Probably, he stayed inside his house most of the time for a long period, hiding away from the ocean and the wind.

But that's his home. That's his life. He can't just stop loving everything he once knew, cause' that would be stopping loving a important part of himself. He is a kid, he may don't think there's something else for him; his life until that was the ocean, was the beach. And it's hard letting it go, so he learned to love it again.

Legend had a traumatic event with the ocean too, but then he went back to his home, away from the blue horizon. Maybe he didn't want another chance with the ocean like Wind; so he didn't had the opportunity to try to find peace, whatever that means, and overcome his fear.

Or, at least, that's how I like to imagine it. :)

honestly wondering if wind would even LIKE the sea after their journey. Yeah haha sailor wind jokes are funny but if legend was traumatized at their grown age from the ocean imagine what being hurled into the deep blue by a giant ass bird, being chased by sharks and flying pufferfish monsters, and watching the king of hyrule literally DROWN infront of you did to a literal 11 year old
