i swear to fucking god if you guys let one day at a time flop i’m gonna be out for blood. its literally the show y'all come on here thirsting for 24/7. the show centers around a cuban family run by a single mom, penelope, (and her mother). the show discusses so many important topics that don’t really get discussed into depth in most media. ptsd, anxiety, therapy, addiction, sexuality, NONBINARY GENDERS AND PRONOUNS, rape, etc. and takes these topics seriously all while remaining a hilarious comedy. it has characters who are nonbinary, disabled, poc, gay, struggling w addiction, etc. it shows that people can be unaccepting and bigoted and cruel but also that people can come around to their senses for the people they love. it’s such a cool glimpse into the real world and it NEEDS YOUR HELP. Growing up fat, you get made fun of for everything you do, even basic shit like eating and laughing and breathing are funny when you do it because youre fat! And its so hard to not carry that with you as you get older, like I’m still embarassed to eat or dance in front of people or smile in pictures and its ridiculous and I hate it and I wish I was treated with more humanity
