Chapter 15: Sharing is Caring

Summary:

They stepped away from the paid service device to get on their phone, standing back near their parents and sibling. The teenager loads up their social forums app, that they’re just barely old enough to be allowed to use, to upload the photo and their distress over Fazco letting a harpy be put in danger by the snakes, let alone escape their safe exhibit in the first place. They add on their hopes of saving the harpy before it’s too late, that if enough people take the moment to share the post that just maybe, their care mixing with everyone else’s would make a difference in that harpy’s life.

I will be joining a lot of others in locking up my works on Ao3; I feel bad about it, I know I had some locked already but I started leaving them unlocked for a wider audience and so it didn't feel like I was trying to avoid some readers who wouldn't want an account or couldn't sign in for whatever reason. I mean I probably used Ao3 for years as a guest because I thought the accounts for just for users wanting to post stories. But seeing the scraping of Ao3 for AI training makes me sad. At first I was like "well my work isn't good enough that someone would want to use it to train AI" but really that's not even the point. It's just wrong overall. And sure there's not much else I can do about it, it's not like someone determined enough couldn't also make an account to access it but it at least helps negate it a little. 😫 So this is part of the heads up for those users who don't have an Ao3 account but do follow me here, I'll keep Naga'na Let You Go unlocked for a few days after it's next update with another message letting readers know my works will be locked. Hopefully it won't feel like a punishment.

Chapter 14: Hello New… Mate?

Summary:

You do your best to nod within the limited amount of space provided and after a pleased hum, your captor pulls away the hand over your head. Reflexively you move around your jaw and head to check for any pain; happy to find none but surprised as well given the strength that held you. The pounding rattle quickens its pace as the remaining hands slowly part from you, only to reconnect to the feathers on your arms; petting slowly and inquisitively down to your hands. You focus on breathing deep breaths as the larger claws comb through the soft orange plumage. You’re no stranger to curious claws after all, and panicking or sudden movements aren’t good choices when faced against someone much stronger than you; which is easy to assume given this naga has at least three hands. The claws themselves feel blunted at the tips despite their length, as if they were filed down; longer than Sun’s but still duller.

Happy Fool's Day!

Faeful Heart's DCA version of my Easter DCA Sun is more than happy to hop around in his suit, knowing how cute he looks. Moon would do anything to make you flustered, and seeing him in the tight suit sure does heat your cheeks. Eclipse on the other hand.. Only put it on because he was told it was a request from their Clover and didn't realize he'd have to wear it the whole day... His face is blushing harder than yours.

This year's focus will be on The Lighthouse Keeper's Keepers

Android Sun x Android Moon x Siren Mer Y/N (AFAB) - AU Summary + some photos below the cut!

I'll be rotating chapters of it and of Naga'na Let You Go during May (until either one finishes then it'll just be the single remaining story) BUT I thought it would also be fun to draw or answer any asks for them (or Fazrule's Characters too) so feel free to send in any if you'd like to get to know them more or just to see certain things.

Otherwise I might try to find an actual MerMay prompt list to use to doodle things in between writing.

Sun and Moon have proven their sentience, have gotten married and retired from working at the daycare; letting newer androids take over their old position. They've responded to a job listing in a rather remote village where an old fisherman who cares for the village's borderline neglected lighthouse is getting too old to look after himself, much less the lighthouse.

So they've agreed to the position, both of caring for the fisherman until he passes as well as the lighthouse once he does. The years they spend being caregivers to the fisherman and listening to him tell tales of the Mer he befriended in his youth make Sun and Moon think the poor man must have been losing his mind with age. They never thought that on the day they would be spreading his ashes they would happen upon the myth he befriended; you. 

You’re a siren of the sea; a cross species of a Sea Angel and a Spotted Lagoon Jellyfish. When you reached the age of adolescent you parted from your parents to make your own way through life as is custom. While exploring a new area for a potential den you ended up stranded in a tide pool where your current worst fear came to life; a young human saw you. Luckily, this human had a huge heart and was more than willing to lift you out of the pool and back to the sea even though he couldn’t understand a word you were saying.

 You hunted down gifts as a thank you and your friendship with him grew; he taught you how to speak the main language of the village and you helped guide his boat to plentiful catches. You built your den inside the cliff that housed his home, the two of you bonding in a strong friendship despite the differences in your species; until his shorter lifespan ended it for you. Though you found out he left something, rather someone, behind for you to ease that pain; two someones to be exact.

Chapter 13: Stake your Claim

Summary:

Once you were dressed and close enough to him, Moon wastes no time sweeping you up into his arms and nuzzling his head against yours; you never seem to realize how the affectionate gesture was also a means to mark you as theirs, always just thinking they liked how your feathers felt after being washed, like how you enjoy their fresh scales. “You should sing for us more often~” Moon hums with another tap of his head to yours. “Your voice is lovely little Dove.” You roll your eyes and lightly push his face from your own, “Uh-huh, I’m sure my nothing song is wonderful.” You mock, though your flushed cheeks betray you regardless. “Though maybe if you’d sing with me, I would sing more often. We could even learn a song together?” You feel the displeased groan in his throat vibrate against you. “I’ve heard you sing for Sun, y’know. Your voice is better than mine.” You pout. “That’s-sss different.” The lunar naga hisses softly back, his eyes avoiding looking at you as one hand leaves your body to part the overgrowth acting as your house’s door. A somber feeling fills you as you take in his words; it’s different because he loves Sun, they’re mates.

of my own, I think my favorite is my Fae Sun from my FaeFul Hearts AU!

I love his bright playful warm colors and his downward slanted ears, and his wild wavy hair. It doesn't hurt that his animal glamour is my favorite dog breed either. XD

For an AU that isn't my own though I think my fav design is @wyervan 's Slasher Sun. I mean just look at this cutie!

He's everything you could want in a man - murderous tendencies included! (jk but I do still love him)

I love his messy hair, how cute he looks with it pulled out of his face, his sharp features, all the freckles and those eyes that stare into your soul~ Just 100/10 - Moon's design in that AU is also quite lovely, I just have a Sun bias XD

There's more actual animatronic designs I love too but I think I enjoy seeing how people interpret Sun into other things while trying to keep his original like essence or like features they are like "this is so Sun" where you look at the design and go "that reminds me of Sun!" even without the obvs robotic parts of the canon model. Chapter 12: Moving Forward

Summary:

“I’m happy I got to meet you, Phoenix and I’m even happier I could help you grow into someone you are happy to be.” Her smile is soft and full of a mother’s love and care. “Though I should probably let you go now, Sun and Moon have probably had enough time to move over everything to your new house and I’m sure you’re excited to see it too.” You perk up in remembrance. “Right! How could I forget?” You giggle, “Sun’s been talking about it nonstop, apparently it’s quite the distance from anyone else and has its own private river, not to mention way more space than we could possibly need. I think Moon still has some of your books though, I’ll have to make sure I put them in the exchange bag if I can get them away from him.”

Well it's originally arrival date was delayed and now the second arrival date has pasted with no updates or new estimate. 😩 Going to be contacting them for a refund earlier than the one they said they would do on April fourth; I don't want to wait over another week for them to say it's not coming and still be full functional computer-less. I've got comms and fan projects to work on and the comp was supposed to be here on the 21st >:(

aaaaaa made the scary choice of finally ordering a new pc that should be able to actually run my art programs (or cozy games) without crashing multiple times (might even let me go back to streaming art too!)

So next weekend I'll be spending time trying to set up and transfer over what I need and testing it and after that will probably run a sketch or chibi art sale to help cover the big cost. XD maybe I'll put all my YCH's on a discount sale too
