The Temple of Jerry

A strange cult has come to Del Sol Valley, attracting many of its celebrities including Judith Ward and Thorne Bailey. Its headquarters are here at the Temple of Jerry.

Downstairs one will find the museum and education center.

The exhibits only seem to deepen the mystery of who (or what) is Jerry. The center will be happy to provide some answers to those willing to pay several thousand simoleons for its introductory class.

Sheena is a punk rocker now ...

... and all because she went to CDGDs. Grungy yes, but this is where some of Simlandia's greatest bands were discovered and became famous - The Flaming Llamas, Joan Jam and the Black Sheep, The Wild Vicunas, and so many more. Looks like an exec from one of the major labels is parked out front, hoping to discover some new talent at tonight's show.

If you're an astute student of music history and first-gen punk, you might catch the references ... and if you're not you probably don't give a ****. Which is the proper punk attitude. I tried to recreate CBGB as well as I could but ultimately had to settle for catching the vibe, which is what's important, right?

Now all I need is for EA to fulfill my dream of an expansion pack that adds bass guitars and drums and lets you form a band, and a career path that lets you travel to clubs and festivals and perform. And recording studios you can go to to record albums.

Welcome to Blast-Off Burger!

I built this diner today and it's working like a charm - cooks cook, servers take and deliver orders, dj's spin tunes, and all the customers have a good time!

Oasis Springs is starting to look pretty good in my game:

For nightlife, there's a lounge next door and Llama Lanes at the end of the block for bowling.

Liberty Lee came by the next day and built the diner's rocket ships - two in the front and one on the roof. She's amazing - three rocket ships in one day! Now anyone can enjoy the thrills of space travel, either before or after their burger and fries.

The rockets stand tall and proud, ready for lift-off.

Mortimer and Bella show up ...

Hailey Ryder shows up and after imbibing some liquid courage, and as dawn approaches, blasts off, taking one of the ships on her maiden voyage to the stars.

The diner's customers all agree that Blast-Off Burger is great and promise to return soon.

Here's Hailey Ryder ...

She recently received this letter from her grandmother:

Dear Hailey,

I hope you are doing well. Your mother says you dropped out of college. I think you are like me - we are both restless spirits. I am so sorry we've never been able to spend more time together and to get to know each other better, but your mother has always disapproved of my lifestyle and thought I would be a bad influence on you. But my days of riding with The Wild Llamas are over now and I'm about to eat the asphalt - Yep, I got cancer and will soon be riding that big chopper in the sky. Since you're not in school now, I thought maybe you'd like to try running a bar. I'm leaving Thunder Road to you -- it's yours now. Duke and Bubba both wanted it but all they'd do is run it into the ground. It may not be to your liking but I hope you'll give it a try for at least a few months.

So Hailey arrived in Strangerville as the new owner of the Thunder Road Bar & Grill.

After two days of hard work getting the place cleaned up, she takes a morning off to go to Magnolia Mall to play video games at the arcade and to catch a movie.

A quick drink at the karaoke bar upstairs and then, since the bathing facilities at the bar aren't the greatest, she sneaks into one of the rooms at the Hello Kitty Love Hotel across the street to luxuriate in a hot bath and get cleaned up.

Next, on to Paddywhack's Emporium for groceries and supplies.

Heading back to Strangerville, Hailey checks out the competition - Cuppa Joe and a Llama - a diner across the street from her.

Judith Ward is there (in the bear costume which she now always wears) beginning her final descent into madness. But that's a story for another time.

Around to the convenience store on the side for a few more supplies and then back to Thunder Road - it's opening night!

Thorne Bailey shows up with one of the Caliente girls ...

... and the Roswells show up as well.

Altogether, the night was a success ...

... but does trouble lie ahead?

I started a Tumblr account mainly to follow cc creators and other interesting Sims 4 bloggers and probably won’t be posting very much.
