Last Update
Hello! As you can see, I've decided to cancel the Kickstarter.
The reasons are a mix of real-life issues and not feeling competent enough to develop the full game.
I believe I'm better suited for creating smaller and free projects, so I'll still be active on itch.io.
Thank you so much for your support! It has been an awesome experience, and I have learned a lot, so it hasn't been a waste of time.
Thanks for reading, and have a nice day! :)

Fifth Update - Charmed
Hello again! Very productive week if I do say so myself. I love making up titles for these updates as you can see hehe.
The charms are here! Here are some pics:

Pretty simple charms, but that's just how I wanted them.
I'm glad the art resizing didn't mess up the drawings quality.
The trailer is in progress. I would say it's 70% done, so I'm confident that I can finish it next week without any issues.
Here are some sprites done for the trailer:
I understand that it may not reveal much. But sharing more GIFs would spoil the entire trailer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't have any updates on the song at the moment, but if I see that the campaign is coming to an end and I still don't have the permission for the song, I'll search for free music.
That's everything I have for todays update.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Fourth Update - Doing stuff 2: Electric Boogaloo
Hello, my silly ass forgot to update here so I'm posting this one week later. Original upload: 17/09
Sunday is here! (A little late for me) This week sucked not gonna lie. Seasonal changes are making my migraines hit real bad so I lost half the week in bed :,)
Also irl stuff is preventing me from spending the time I need to finish my goals.
I'm okay now, so I can get back to work next week (۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶
The trailer is still on progress.
The initial animatic is done so now Im remaking the placeholders with actual stuff drawn by me.
Doing the illustrations for this cinematic is helping me a lot because it gives me a reference for how I'm going to remake the game sprites:
This is everything I have to show you.
My plan is to finish the trailer in 10 days so I'll have the new trailer for the final push but... I still dont have officialy the permission to use the music so let's see how it goes :,)
Still, it really is helping me as a warmup for the new illustrations.
Pretty depressing update, I know, but I still wanted to thank you all for supporting this campaign. It really is what makes it all worth it, no matter how it ends. : )
Thanks for reading and have a nice day

Third Update - Doing Stuff
Hello again! It's your weekly update. It's been a busy day so I'm a little late.
For some kickstarter updates, the stickers have arrived! Im so happy with them they are small but very high quality just what I wanted.
Here are some pictures:

The charms are on my way! I decided to use a holographic broken glass effect so they don't look so plain. Here's a preview :)
A second trailer is on the making! I have been talking with one of my fav music artists and I may have the permission to use one of her songs :D
I wasn't very happy with the original trailer so Im excited to make a new one. Here are some gifs of the initial animatic!
I know they look hella goofy right now with the stock images, but I promise all of them will be replaced witch actual art done by me.
This next week is basically gonna be working on the new trailer.
I don't really have much to show on the game progress. Everything I've been doing is writing dialogue and organize endings for the fisrt route. So unfortunately I can't show anything here :(
The first route is going to be Alex's! Listening to feedback it seems that Alex is the least favorite one, and that cannot be it! Im gonna do justice to him and show what a good boy he is.
That's everything for todays update. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

Second Update - Patience
Hello I'm back with short updates and long thoughts.
So the kickstarter is officially live! Currently 3 awesome backers have supported the campaign. I really didn't know what to expect, since I startesd doing this project I've tried to be an optimist but also not having high expectations... I'm sure everyone newbie like me felt that way with their own projects...
Unfortunately two ways of selfpromotion where discarded. I was planning to pay tumblr for their promote feature, but... The violent and explicit nature of the game is againts their TOS so I couldn't.
I'll need to think hard and find other ways! This hard for me because I'm not confident talking in english and social anxiety stuff.
But well let's talk about actual game updates!
I've designed charms for the kickstarter. Yeah I know it's not actually a game update but... I think they're really cute and I need to have the rewards ready If the Kickstarter does actually well:
I'm also making changes to the interface. I left the menu untouched at the demo so I need to design a new one. I have this concept made on photoshop:
And I really want to make the gui less cluttered, changing some textbuttons for icons:
I'm sure you have noticed the banner at the top. For narrative purposes I'll need to change the POV to other characters so I made this! Maybe it should be more more subtle.
And this spooky one is for certain events in the game (spoilers) . Novel mode is used instead of the deafult one:
Im gonna be honest, not happy with these. I feel like I should make them more pixel art like. The vectors don't fit that well with the sprites. But well these are only concepts! So I can change them anytime.
This is everything for game updates.
Let's get serious here. What happens if the kickstarter isn't succesful?
I spent the night thinking about this instead of sleeping. The perfect way to describe it is with this spanish expression "consultar con la almohada" (kinda like saying "sleep on it"). Big thumbs up to my pillow.
Well this project may be too much for a solo developer like me. And I do have another simpler VN idea. So I may change to other projects. This VN is also dating sim, but I don't know if I want to maintain the same artstyle. The codename for this project is: Bunker: 222.
In october I start school, where I'll be studying concept art. So I'm sure my art skills will improve over time, and that would be awesome for my future projects.
I'm not giving up on the Kickstarter! It's only september 3rd, and the kickstarter is up for 37 more days. As long as the campaign runs
I need to remake my marketing strategy and selfpromote this project.
Well that's it for todays update. Lots of words I know, I know... but this helps me a lot to gather my thoughts.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Fly Away: A monsterboy thriller dating sim [Kickstarter Campaign]
Fly Away is a self-insert lgbt friendly dating sim where you can try to get closer to five male love interests in a world of magical realism. As your journey progress further, the game gradually takes on a darker tone. It shifts between serene slice-of-life moments and thrilling scenarios where lives are at stake.
One thing I've always desired from popular otome titles is more graphic violence, lewdness, and, in general, more mature themes. So, I decided to create my own!
Even if you can't donate, it would be fantastic if you could check out and share the campaign. Currently, it's a one-person project, so I'll need some extra help to make it a reality.
Thanks for reading and have a great day!

First Update! - Almost Here
I can happily say that the demo is finished and published on itch.io. Play it here!
The Kickstarter is ready, and the campaign will launch on September 1st!
It's been a total of three months of development, a bit lonely truth be told, but oh well, I really hope to have assistance on this project thanks to the Kickstarter funding.
What am I doing now? Well, not much and a lot at the same time. Since I'm still unsure how well the campaign will go, I'm working on things that I believe will be essential and that I can do myself no matter what goal I reach.
Regarding the Kickstarter, I'm beginning to design and order the goodies for the backers rewards.
I've already designed the sticker sheet! ❤
The order I placed arrives On September 8th so I can see the quality of the stickers. I will upload photos and thoughts once I have them.
Regarding the game... Well, I'm starting to rethink the style of the sprites. I have this example sketch prepared:
Alright, now I'll show you the first sprite I made, Maika's:
You can tell the difference, right? My goal is to get rid of all the gradients with the airbrush I used for shading and redo them using the same binary brush, adhering more faithfully to the "pixel art" aesthetic..
Example:
I also want to simplify as many details as possible. Especially in the hair, look at Maika's compared to Ceri's (It's pretty ugly lol). "Less is more" is going to be my motto for the remake.
And what bothers me the most is the artstyle crisis with the noses of all the characters. I need to make up my mind and choose one.
Lastly, I'm aiming to create more elaborate expressions instead of following a template. The old sprites have different layers to create expressions.
For example: Closed eyes + Open smile + Furrowed brows.
I'm sure that discarding the layer system will give me more flexibility to design more specific and unique expressions.
And the demo will be updated to add links to the Kickstarter, the blog, and other social media platforms. Also, a couple of bugs that my alpha testers (my friend and my little sis lmao) have noticed, will be fixed.
That would be all! Thank you very much for reading, and stay tuned for more updates!
