Firstly, I will mention that I am not an atheist x3. Funny thing is that I already yapped about primus in tfa months ago lolol

The idea of primus being a ,,constant" (alongside unicron) is kinda overrated, at least to me :^ I also find it interesting how people crave having celestial (however, more physical, literally right here) beings in funi transforming robot fiction (idk maybe that's cuz I have a feeling that this part of the community is mostly atheist??)

I think the Allspark is perfectly enough for this universe and has a nice amount of mystery around it. It tried to communicate by itself, rarely!, but its messages weren't too direct, left people and the heroes (Sari) wondering what's up or at least about the details (since I think the main message is easier to get?? I'd need to rewatch the two scenes, even though I remember them xD).

Thinking about how transformers animated doesn’t have Primus. Like yeah, neither did first gen, neither did beast wars/machines but those were transformers’s experimental age. You could make a new transformer just by slapping some spare parts and a basic code together and showing it a bunch of videos about how you expect it to behave (grimlock and the dinobots ILY bbies but there is a REASON you all are slightly lacking in the intelligence department). Yes they later retconned in vector sigma for the arial bots (i think? There’s a lot of subdivisions to both factions) but grim and the other dinos were the first example. Also the time travel episode where starscream became a fantasy knight. And the golden lake episode. And the one they spent being some alien kid’s pets. And the mermaid episode.

I got off track: my point is it’s weird that TFA doesn’t have Primus, especially since it’s got the all spark.

Soon after getting on Tumblr I started reading stuff on AO3 and so I've seen a wee bit of those typical seeker headcanons, but in tfa universe. The one headcanon I didn't like was Starscream's wings, which go UP \ /, being considered the normal thing and BW's ones, which go down / \, being considered the sAAd byproduct and damaged kind of thing idk how to describe that well rn... but other than that, I love that person's creations sm. Continuing, the reason for this being that I think there should be more transformers with jet modes that are very different from Starscream (seekers should Not need to be smth almost like clones). To put it differently: Starscream shouldn't be the standard for the shape of other transformers characters who turn into jets. Oki end of stupid additional yapping
