i’m officially back from my hiatus! sorry for disappearing, had a little bit of an on the job accident last week that led to me spraining my wrist. it’s been in cast ever since then and it’s been difficult to write/type because of the pain, but i’ve adjusted to it so i’m ready to get back into writing. that being said, i’m going to be scrapping my event threads. at this point, the event is practically over and i don’t have muse for the threads anymore, so i’ll be starting fresh. if you’d like a starter from akira you can go ahead and drop a like on this post and i’ll have the starter posted ASAP!

fmdtaeyong:
“hey, don’t let me stop you,” ash replies when akira catches his eye and apologizes. he doesn’t feel like eating himself, but he recognizes akira as one of the chroma members, and he knows how important it is to eat whenever given the chance as a rookie. no sleep and restrictive diets don’t make for the kind of energy performing on stage requires, and if she needs to stuff her face to get that energy, he’s not going to say anything about it.
he’d rather not be at the brunch at all, if he’s being honest. all he’s done is push his already meager selection of food around his plate and take a bite here and there to keep from drawing too much attention to himself. he didn’t want anyone to come over and ask him if he’s okay because he’s not eating.
“you’re in chroma, right?” he asks, though he already knows the answer. making conversation will at least give him something else to do to pass the time until he’s been around long enough to make a polite exit. “i’m ash,” he introduces himself. “i like your solo song. it’s fun.” it’s too upbeat for him to listen to with any frequency lately, but he can appreciate that it’s well-produced and well-performed.
it was a little embarrassing to be caught with her mouth filled with food in front of one of her seniors, but she felt a little relief at his response, reaching for her glass to take a sip from her drink. in all honesty, it was hard for her to find time to sit down and have an actual meal like that. and when she could, chroma’s manager would always be watching like a hawk, reminding her of the mandatory restrictions that were placed on her diet. but it seemed as though they were treating the festival as if it were a real vacation and allowing them to eat whatever and as much as they please.
she nodded at his question mid drink, swallowing what was in her mouth before answering. “yes, that’s my group.” she felt a small rush of pride in saying that, something she assumed a lot of idols felt when they were speaking for their group or recognized as a member of their group. she wondered if that feeling would ever go away, or worse, sour and morph into the exact opposite. “i’m akira, it’s nice to meet you.. officially.” she’d seen ash from a distance here and there throughout her time as a trainee at bc and her few short months as an idol, but they had never spoken directly before.
“oh, thank you.” she bowed her head appreciatively, a smile on her lips. “i’m glad that you enjoy it. i really enjoyed performing it.” being recognized for her solo song sent another surge of pride through her, this one larger than the last. she must have left a good impression if he considered her song memorable enough to mention. “i’ve been listening to me after you a lot lately.”

fmdandy:
“right,” andy said, though the phrase likely wasn’t needed, given the snort he followed with. maybe he ought to have kept that second glass for himself. win some, lose some. “little do they know i’d bet fans around here would beg to see us drunk. pay, even.” then again, the little trust fund babies they called fans bought them useless, expensive shit at every and any opportunity. those same fans would probably pay exorbitant amounts of money to look at them doing nothing from a distance. “they like seeing celebrities be blackout drunk. like coke to them or something.”
if something like that did happen, the second they got back to korea, they’d be scolded, by management, the public, whoever. hypocritical of them, considering how many drunkards he’d walk by in the night, but he was the one who technically signed up for his every move being carefully guarded.
either way, it was fun to imagine. “which suit you think’ll get there first? i’d bet on unity’s manager,” andy gestured with his head, “i’ve been watching them a while. kinda strike me as that person that says they can handle their alcohol, but you get a pint in ‘em and they’re down for the count.” he managed to wave down a server to get another drink to toss down his throat. once swallowed, he turned narrow eyes and, “you gonna be able to keep up with me, or am i gonna have to drag your ass back to your room?”
“i don’t see why they don’t just give the fans what they want,” she said, her voice colored with fake wistfulness as she brought her glass back up to her lips, taking another sip. it could be argued that it would be beneficial for companies to let that happen, but in the grand scheme of things it would have done more harm than good. companies preferred to keep idols just that - idols. something pretty and unattainable. they had to be godlike. and it wasn’t very godlike to be seen out in public, blackout drunk.
and while the younger generations might not have had many issues with it, the older generations definitely would have. and since the older generations were in charge, they could quite literally make or break their careers. sometimes akira thought about how much it sucked ass that she couldn’t behave like a normal twenty four year old. she couldn’t go out and get drunk and have fun like some of her childhood friends back home. she wouldn’t change anything about it though. it was the life she chose and she couldn’t go back. there would always be cons to everything, right?
she listened to his candidate for most likely to reach their limit first, considering the options provided before them for a moment before voicing her own opinion. “i’m going to have to say decipher’s manager. all of the members are grown and been around long enough to know how to behave in public. he’s been downing mimosas ever since we got here.” akira gave hm a look, gesturing for the server to bring her another drink as well. “don’t be surprised when i’m the one dragging you back to yours.”

fmdxmax:
to get a chance to enjoy some quality time with akira like this was a whole lot more than max could ask for and he meant to enjoy every second of it. he was pretty deep into it when all he could see in the pool area was the pretty japanese girl he’d set his eyes on and had been texting with for the past month.
with both of them being awkward at first it made max feel more at ease to actually open up and not stress out about saying or doing the wrong thing. he’d come to feel comfortable around her. there was still the lingering, unregular thumping of his pathetic heart from time to time. especially as he picked her up over his shoulder after they had been bantering back and forth and she’d not believed he’d actually toss her into the pool.
so here he was, carrying the beauty across his shoulder and very pointedly avoiding to look at her well formed backside to not seem like a total pervert. “you said I wouldn’t do it, so you see for yourself,” he barks out with a laugh, clearly amused about the situation. and dumb her into the water he did, albeit a lot more gentle than he’d threatened. crouching down by the edge of the pool, max grins at her, looking any bit as smitten and enamored as he was with no need or reason to filter himself. “you look lovely though, I was right. even with your hair soaked you still look gorgeous.”
even though the two of them had been texting back and forth with one another for the better part of a month, akira and max hadn’t had the opportunity to actually see one another face to face until the fantasy festival had begun. and even then, they didn’t get many opportunities to talk. they were either busy with their own activities or concert rehearsals or their paths just never found a way to cross. fortunately for both of them, the verbal private pool party invitations had made their way throughout the idols who were participating in the festival and they were finally able to spend some time together.
while she’d be lying if she tried to say things weren’t a little bit awkward between the two of them at first, but she had help from her two close, personal friends tequila and vodka. they helped loosen her up a bit, just enough for her words to flow a little bit more freely. fortunately that was all that she really needed in order to be more receptive to their playful back and forth banter. if only she knew that it would have led to her being tossed in the pool.
she pushed her hair back away from her face, still glaring at him. her harsh expression softened a bit at his words, and she found herself rolling her eyes to keep from completely melting underneath his sweet words. “so you think sweet talking me is going to make me forgive you, huh?” she said, unable to keep the smile off of her face as she held out her hand towards him. “help me out?” akira asked innocently, giving him a sweet smile.

durifmd:
duri had almost seemingly gotten rid of before stage nerves a long time ago. however, there was still sometimes the elder had gotten a bit nervous before getting on stage. it had happened with his solo debut stage, his first solo concert, and maybe in this very moment. but, seemingly, excitement almost drew that feeling away. he was meant to impress in some way, wasn’t he? they’re big hollywood music industry executives, and that’s probably what bc entertainment wanted from duri, wasn’t it? he wasn’t entirely sure himself, but he was just going to perform like he usually does, and simply have fun with it. that’s what had made the most sense to him, deciding there was really no reason to sweat it anyway.
duri had simply just been exploring the backstage area, as there wasn’t really much for him to do. he probably already practiced his songs thousands of times over, the songs just really sticking in his head, and he just simply wouldn’t be able to forget them. he giggles softly, head nodding. “ah, those are all completely normal feelings, don’t worry! but, you got this! akira and chroma fighting!” he said, his smile growing much bigger. he nodded his head, “i’m excited! ah, i always can’t help but to be excited,” he says. “i’m performing all of my life, beautiful goodbye, and candy!”
akira had to consider herself lucky to a certain extent. there were very few people in the world who could say that they were able to perform at coachella valley just months after their debut, not even a full half a year after their debut. and on top of that, it wasn’t even an official debut. chroma as a whole weren’t set to debut until later that year, towards the end, and they were already receiving benefits and opportunities that people who had been active in the idol industry for years could never even dream of. she knew that it just came with the privilege of being an idol under bc entertainment. a company that influential and wealthy could move the world just for their idols; actually, it was more accurate to say for their own benefit, not for their idols. but that was neither here nor there.
she also had to consider herself lucky because she had the fortune of being close friends with a few of her idol seniors in the industry; duri being one of them. not only were they close friends, he became a mentor of sorts for her, always giving her a helping hand when it came to her vocals whenever she needed it. vocalists in k-pop were a dime a dozen, and with her wanting to be the best she could possibly be, she couldn’t really think of a lot of people who were more qualified than duri to help her out. “thank you! i appreciate your faith in me and my girls.” she beamed at him, nodding her head. “that’s a good setlist, oppa. then again, you’ve never released a bad song so i don’t think any setlist you put together could be anything but good.”

fmdjeonghwa:
vision locked, target acquired. what was the fun of going to a party if you didn’t add a new number to your phone by the end of night? acquaintance, friend, foe, whatever else in between, it always ended up in an interesting connection. jeonghwa claimed two drinks, one for herself that was immediately sipped, and another for the girl sitting on a pool lounger.
preamble dismissed, jeonghwa sat herself down on the edge of the lounger with a plop that momentarily blew up a few strands of her hair. she held out the unsipped drink, and said, “you’re nineteen, right? not like it really matters, but i need to know if i’m gonna be responsible for something illegal tonight.” would it count as illegal since they weren’t in korea? or, wait, wasn’t the drinking age different in the states? if anything for real went wrong, she could pull the ignorant foreigner card, though that was last resort. jeonghwa took another sip, and realized mid-through, stopping with a hum and raised brows. “hi, by the way. i’m jeonghwa.”
@fmdakira
it might have seemed a little extra, maybe a little vapid and vain, but akira had taken it upon herself to go shopping for a new bathing suit just for the private pool party that she was attending. and she had to say that it was pretty cute. it was, ironically, a nice violet color that she wore with a pair of white shorts and a shawl-like cover up. if she were being honest, she had two or three perfectly good bathing suits back in south korea, but why not splurge and spoil herself just a bit?
she had just finished her second drink of the evening and was taking a few moments to scroll through her phone, answering a few text messages here and there, when she felt someone sit down next to her. and then a drink was being handed towards her, which she took without hesitation. she highly doubted that the other girl did anything to it, especially not in front of all the people they were surrounded by. “nineteen?” she couldn’t help but laugh. “girl, i’m a hag. i turned twenty four like two weeks ago.” the words felt weird on her own tongue. she was twenty four years old. basically an antique in the k-pop industry. she mentally shuddered. “i know. akira, nice to meet you.” she took a long sip from the drink handed to her. “you performed at the popup concert, right?”

fmdkiana:
discomfort with socialization had been a factor in kiana’s life for almost as long as she could remember. left to her own devices, she would only interact with her small circle of chosen few for the rest of her life. venturing out to this food truck festival, having gone so far as to put sunscreen on herself for the short jaunt, kiana couldn’t quite explain how she managed to come to that decision. something had pulled her towards this circle of grease-filled trucks. what that was, she’d rather not know, frankly.
at times, she wondered if she’d made a bad decision. walking around the perimeter, ki attempted to avoid others, move her shoulders out of the way when need came, to peruse on her own, but every close call sent her heart hammering. she needed a break, one that was taken sitting on a bench and only watching the hustle and bustle.
a girl came near where she sat, a plate of food in hand. by the looks of her, she seemed to be an idol, though not one kiana knew. the food, if she was seeing it correctly, was something she’d wanted to try, but chickened out of asking the vendor about. slightly easier, maybe, was speaking to another idol, and so, it was a race to gathering up the courage to speak before, “excuse me,” she said, giving her full attention to the girl so she knew who kiana was speaking to. “if you don’t mind my asking, what’s in that dish?”
@fmdakira
having only been to america twice in her entire lifetime, and those not being trips that were that long or to the sunny state of california, akira was quite excited to spend some time out there. with a few hours of free time ahead of her, she donned a pair of shorts and a t-shirt before she set out to find something to occupy her time. she wanted to use her time wisely, particularly glad that the fantasy festival had come about outside of the usually time frame of her monthly visitor. she would have been absolutely miserable if she had to spend the majority of the festival writhing in pain and staying locked in her room when she wasn’t being forced to perform.
the knowledge that there was a food truck festival going on her caught her attention. like a lot of other people, akira loved to eat. she loved to try new foods and what better opportunity to do that than the present? in a country she wasn’t all too familiar with? it didn’t take her long to find the food trucks, and once she did she immediately went to the one that smelled the most appealing to her. it was a good thing she ended up trusting her nose, because when she approached the truck, she had to admit that the food looked delicious.
after receiving her food, she went in search of a place to sit and enjoy, only to be called out to by an unfamiliar voice. she looked at her, finally recognizing her as a member of fuse. she smiled reflexively. “i don’t mind at all.” she glanced down at her plate. “this one?” she pointed to one of the dishes she had on her large plate. “i think this one just has chicken, onion, some seasonings and maybe some cheese? i think they called it a tamale.” she looked back up at her. “did you want to try a piece? i bought more than one.”

@fmdakira:
unknown to duri, he was at the private showcase concert as a way to make bc entertainment look good in someway. known to duri, however, was that he was just excited to be here, and looking forward to performing some of his songs. he was told by bc entertainment that he would be doing this private showcase concert during the triple fantasy festival, simply because they wanted him to, and they said it would be really good for him. probably leaving out that it was good for bc entertainment as well, and hoping to probably get some of the important hollywood music people talking in some way. however, that wouldn’t be known, and he’d really just be enjoying his time. he’d already practiced all of my life, beautiful goodbye, and candy enough times - plus, those were simply three songs that he really just knew. not to mention, they were probably the most popular out of his discography currently, nonetheless.
he was in the backstage area, that probably was less of a backstage than anything. but, it was where everyone was simply waiting for their chance to perform at the private showcase. he would have to double check when he was up, since he wasn’t entirely sure. but, he was mainly surrounded by the newer groups from the three companies and he almost felt awkward in a way, considering how much older he seemed to be than most of the members of the groups, depending on who it was. however, he’d notice a familiar face, one of the members of the future bc girl group, chroma. he smiled even more warmer than the usual warm smile placed upon his lips. “hi, akira!” he greets. “are you excited to perform?” he asked.
even though the plan for the evening at the private showcase concert was to perform songs that they had already performed what felt like a hundred times before, akira was still feeling a little nervous. they were in a completely different element. they were in the united states, california to be exact. she wasn’t stupid. she knew how hyper critical the western world, especially the united states, could be when it came to k-pop music. the only little bit of peace that helped calm her down was the fact that the people they’d be performing for were hollywood music executives who should know what k-pop is about. she was still incredibly nervous though. having her members there was a little bit comforting for her though. they always seemed to find a way to make her feel better. which was surprising, seeing as how she never wanted to be in a group in the first place.
while waiting for chroma crystal’s time onstage, akira found herself backstage, singing her lines from sweet crazy love and her solo debut song, halfheartedly doing the choreography just to make sure that it stuck in her head. even though she had performed both songs more times than she could count, it couldn’t hurt to just run through the lines a few more times, right? she stopped short when she heard a familiar voice and she immediately smiled. “hey, duri oppa!” she took a few steps closer to him. “excited? yes. nervous? also yes.” she laughed. “are you excited to perform? i can’t wait to see your performance. what songs are you going to do?”

fmdandy:
andy knew most people liked having meals together as some kind of bonding activity, and while he didn’t exactly agree with that himself, he didn’t step on that preference when it came to others. however, having that desire come from corporate entities that only viewed them through their monetary value, was bullshit. how many meals would be had, how many massive fucking rooms would be rented out, before they realized these tiny ‘gifts’ would do nothing for their loyalty to the companies.
or, at least, him, and whichever of the people in this room weren’t massive dumbasses. andy’d like to think akira wasn’t a dumbass, hence why a waiter coming around ended in two glasses in his hand, one handed off to the girl beside him. “to day drinking,” he said, clinking glasses before dumping the whole flute down his throat. alcohol was fine as it was; he didn’t see the point in extras. he leaned back on his chair, forearm resting perpendicular to the chair on top. “you think they’ll give us a cut off at some point, or the suits are using this as an excuse to get day drunk themselves?”
@fmdakira
the fact that they were being forced by their companies to uphold this whole family oriented facade while they weren’t even around people in the public eye was quite ridiculous to akira. it vaguely reminded her of something a close friend of hers had said before - if you work for a place that calls its employees a family, then run. it was too late for her to do any running, not when she was contractually chained to bc entertainment for the foreseeable future. the majority of people under bc she considered to just be her coworkers. she didn’t see any of them nearly enough to be considered friends with them, and the companies’ attempts at forcing the idols to bond was quite laughable in her eyes.
she looked up when a chalice filled with what she assumed to have been orange juice and champagne. without hesitating she, much like andy, took the glass with a grateful nod. “to day drinking,” she echoed, clinking her glass to his before sipping from it. while her and andy weren’t particularly close, she knew him from years of training under bc entertainment and the fact that he was group members with her cousin. “they’ll probably try to give us a cut off while they’re busy getting sloshed themselves. you already know how that is.”

she wasn’t particularly sure what time in the evening was, but she knew that the pool party at the mansion had been going on for quite some time by that point. more than enough time for her to get a few alcoholic beverages in her and help her relax and loosen up. not to say that she was a stiff or someone who was a stickler for the rules, but after years of being kept under bc entertainment’s watchful eye, she couldn’t help but feel like chroma’s managers would pop up at the drop of a hat just to drag them back to their rooms for the night, scolding them the entire way.
but that didn’t happen. in fact, the party seemed to go on without incident, and the longer it went on and the more drinks she had, the more relaxed she became. the sun had already set hours before and the moon was high in the sky, the glow from it helping illuminate the outside pool area along with some help from outside lamps and decorative lights. and akira? she was busy hitting on max’s back while he had her lifted over his shoulder.
“max! i swear to god, don’t,” she warned when she felt him carrying her towards the pool, wriggling in his grasp. she’d gotten in the pool earlier that night, her hair that hadn’t even air dried being a solid indication of that, but she hadn’t planned on getting back in. however, as much as she protested, she wasn’t really upset. the alcohol buzzed brain didn’t allow her to be too upset. “don’t you fuc-” she couldn’t even finish her threat, a loud scream escaping her lips as she was tossed in the pool. almost immediately she resurfaced, sputtering as she glared at him. “i hate you.” the words didn’t have any venom or malice whatsoever.

starter ⤐ @fmdjoosung
even though he was her boyfriend’s cousin and they didn’t spend any time with one another outside of the few hours every week that akira spent at daisuke’s apartment, akira had grown to care about joosung in the sense that she didn’t want to see him hurt or hurting because of how important he was to daisuke. her cousin had confided in her how worried he was about the situation that his significant other was going through, and she could feel her heart ache for him. not just him, but sung as well. and while she had never been in that exact situation before, she did know what it was like to feel as if your world had been tugged out from underneath you.
"hey there, sunshine,” akira greeted the other idol, smiling brightly at him as she came up beside him after the end of the concert. “are you coming to the after-concert meal?” she asked, gently nudging him with her elbow. “you should come with me. maybe we can meet daisuke there and we can all eat together. how does that sound?” she actually wasn’t sure where her cousin was, or if he would even be attending the after-concert meal at all. however, that didn’t stop her from throwing that little tidbit in, hoping that it would help coax sung into accepting her offer.

akira had been to america before, once or twice during her childhood. one of those instances had been purely for vacation related reasons, her parents having had decided to take the aoki children to america so they could experience universal studios for the first time ever. she remembered how much fun she’d had there as a child. the second instance was a business trip for her father when he had to go to new york sometime around christmas. alas, she had never stepped foot inside of the sunny state of california in all of her twenty four years of life. so of course, she was excited.
it was even more exciting that they’d get to perform at coachella valley. chroma was a rookie group. in fact, they hadn’t even officially had a full group debut yet. how many idols could say they were performing in america before they even hit the stage as a full group? her mood was quite high as soon as she stepped foot off the plane, her eyes excitedly taking in her surroundings as they were taken to the resort they’d be spending their down time in california. then they were whisked off to a welcome brunch meal, something she was more than excited about because she was starving.
she settled down in her chair with her plate, the food stacked decently high in front of her. she immediately picked up her fork and began digging in, not stopping until she randomly decided to let her eyes roam, her gaze almost immediately landing on someone else’s. she swallowed her food and covered her mouth, a little embarrassed. “sorry you had to see that.. i didn’t get to eat on the plane.”

Setting: The Show Date: Sometime in May Time: 7:46am Characters Involved: Guanting & @fmdakira
even though he had been an idol for over five years at that point, it was still a little irritating having to wake up so early in the morning. and by a little irritating, guanting meant that he hated it with every fiber of his being. despite his bubbly and extroverted disposition, he was definitely not a morning person. it took him a long time to shake the after affects of his slumber, and everyone in unity knew that. they knew what they were getting into every time they had to deal with guanting in the early hours of the morning - a groggy, sleepy eyed grump. only the two eldest members of unity could really handle him when he was in one of those moods.
unity had only just finished getting through the processes of hair, makeup and styling and were on the waiting list for their first performance rehearsal of the day. music shows usually consisted of a performance rehearsal or two before they actually filmed what was meant to be broadcasted. or they performed it live. he wasn’t really sure which he preferred. in that particular moment, he would have preferred sleep. he was leaning against one of the walls in the hallway, his eyes closed, when he felt someone press something into his hand. his eyes immediately opened and he looked down to his left, seeing an unfamiliar, but familiar, face looking back up at him. then he looked in his hand, only to see a bottle of bacchus in his hand. “oh,” his eyes met her eyes - akira? he was pretty sure that was her name. “thank you… you didn’t have to get me this… but thank you. do i really look that tired?” he joked, a light chuckle passing through his lips.
even though she had just debuted herself only two months ago, akira didn’t really mind the early morning schedules. she never had an issue getting up early, so even when she didn’t get the most sleep the night prior, she still was able to drag herself out of bed. she honestly just chalked it up to her being used to forcing herself through discomfort and pain. if she could fight her way through pain, she shouldn’t have an issue with fighting her way through a little bit of tiredness, right? the days where they had music show tapings were probably the longest of their days, because they had to go early in the morning and stay there until midday, only to attend other schedules after that. it was tiring, but it was worth it in the end.
chroma crystal had finished up their performance rehearsal by that point and akira had stopped to grab a few snacks for her members when she had walked past one of her seniors leaning against the wall in the hallway, obviously exhausted and practically asleep standing up. she pursed her lips, her stride slowing down for a moment, before she continued on her way to chroma’s waiting room. just a few moments later she was returning with an energy drink in hand, lightly pressing it into the palm of his hand. “you’re welcome.” she gave him a kind smile, before laughing. “i know i didn’t have to, but i figured somebody should before you pass out in the middle of the hallway. and yes, yes you do.”

fmdhyeju:
despite how much hyeju tried to keep up with new debuted artists, there seemed to be a new group popping up every single week that it’s become nearly impossible. the least she could do was remember the ones in her own company, but they’ve all become a blur too. she knows bc’s plans of debuting a new girl group, their first one since wish, but she hasn’t been paying attention to them with her own things going on. what she does know, however, is how much bc has supposedly invested in them. hopefully they turn out like wish did and bring back that money or else they’ll probably tossed into the infamous bc dungeon.
“how much do you think byungchul paid to have all these people show up?” she’s unsure of who she’s standing next to, but the girl seems young so she can only imagine she’s a younger staff member who probably can’t trash talk her boss, but she also knows that means she won’t go talking about this conversation to someone else. “like i know he has a lot of people wanting to kiss up to him, but i didn’t think it’d be this many people,” she says before leaning against the wall. she’s found herself situated in one of the corners, feeling tired with the fake smiles she’s had to give to the people in the room.
@fmdakira, bc gala
akira had frequented her fair share of events throughout her youth. with her father being in the career field that he was in, it was no unusual occurrence for her to be in the presence of older, rich people dressed in the finest of suits and dresses. however it was much different from when she was a teenager. these were people who could actually significantly change her life. she knew she had to be on her best behavior as a child, for fear of embarrassing her parents, but she knew she had to be on her best behavior at the bc gala because her career depended on it. it was a lot of pressure, to say the least, especially for a rookie idol but she took it all in stride. she didn’t let her anxiety show on her face, not wanting to be seen as anything but cool, calm and collected.
she was a little caught off guard by the voice that spoke to her suddenly, her attention a million miles away as she examined the festivities that were going on around her. it was hyeju - her senior. she bowed her head slightly, out of respect of course. “hello, sunbaenim,” she greeted first hand, before answering her question. “you want my honest opinion?” akira asked rhetorically, before chuckling. “you’d be surprised just how far people would go to kiss his ass. i’m not telling you anything you don’t already know, but byungchul holds a lot of power in this industry. a blessing or endorsement from him due to one’s loyalty would be everything you need to make it - and then some.”

at that point, akira was pretty certain that she had been to all of her members’, at least the ones who had released solo music, music video sets during the time of their filming. not only was it encouraged by bc entertainment for them to be there for each other, akira didn’t particularly mind visiting them and giving them a stronger support system. they were group members after all. a family, so to speak. in order for things to run smoothly and for them to be the best they could be, they had to work together and have a strong bond amongst them. it was a little shocking for akira that she had taken to having group members so easily, especially because she had never wanted to debut in a group in the first place, but she knew that being in a group was inevitable at the end of the day, so she had to grin and bear it.
that didn’t mean she liked her members any less though. she might have butted heads with a few of them from time to time, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t be there for them. as the sound of gaeul’s single blasted throughout the set of the music video, akira stood off to the side, watching the monitor intently as the younger woman danced and mouthed along to the words of her song. the song was good - catchy and fun, but had a bit of a more mature element. she couldn’t help but compare the song with her own solo song. it was something she had done with pretty much every other girl that had released a solo song so far. she found herself breaking out of her intent gaze when the music stopped, and she quickly put a smile on her face as gaeul walked from in front of the cameras. “hey! sorry i’m a little late - we had some crystal schedules this morning. and i wasn’t really feeling that well afterwards, but i still wanted to come see you. i love the song, by the way. i smell a hit.”
