“why wouldn’t you leave?” he was sure his voice was coming off as harsh. like he was mad. and he was…but not at her. he was mad at himself for thinking anything would be different. “i can tell you’re uncomfortable here. i don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

the sudden touch to his wrist caused him to jump slightly. he looked over to her and nodded. “miru…” jaehui’s voice was soft. barely above a whisper at this point. “you don’t have to stay. i just wanted to see you. it was dumb of me to assume you’d want to see me too.” he moved and placed his hand on top of hers before looking into her eyes. “i had this idea that…if we saw each other we would fall for each other again and we could make things right.” he couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh as he spoke what was on his mind out loud. “it sounds so silly now that it’s out in the open..but i just really miss us.”

although miru was the one to end things between them, that didn’t mean it was any easier for her. she remembers when she first suggests that they end it, and how his tears would drop onto her hands as he asked her to stay. though she never cried in front of him, it would be a lie to say that she never cried at all over what happened between the two of them. to leave the only person that ever seemed to truly love her was devastating for miru as well, but she chose her career over love. 

so then what was she doing here? honestly, she doesn’t know the answer to that either. and she doesn’t know the answer to his question either. why isn’t she leaving? if anybody were to walk in on them, it would be over, and miru had too much to lose. or more like she had so little that losing it all would mean losing everything. does she really look that uncomfortable? she’s more anxious than anything, and she places her free hand beneath her tie, trying to hide how shaky it was from all the nerves. 

“i did want to see you,” she corrects him. not with the same intention that he had just confessed to, but jaehui was still someone she cared about. someone that popped into her head all too often whenever she was feeling down or just needed someone to talk to. miru didn’t have too many friends, and while he wasn’t technically just a friend, he was the closest one to a friend that she had. “you know you can call for me when you need me, right?” she couldn’t downright tell him that she couldn’t return his feelings though she wanted to, but she wanted to assure him that she was still here. 

by this point, she’s a little breathless. this felt like his first confession all over, and she squeezed his hand and gave him a smile, reaching up to pat his head like she used to. “i’m sorry i chose my career over you. and i’m sorry that i can’t change my mind.” her voice is firm like it was when they broke up, but she doesn’t want to lose all of this. but she also doesn’t want to lose him. “but please don’t think i wouldn’t want to be here.”

YUJIN

her drama is about to start airing! her life’s been super physically busy with the going back and forth between her world tour & the set, but she’s pretty excited for this drama. it’s not going to do super well despite it being the school series, but it’s a start for actress yujin. gold star will most likely push her into acting again some time later, and so she’ll continue to get acting lessons and dialect coaching so her busan dialect doesn’t pop out

element is gearing up for a comeback even though it’ll probably not be for another two months or so (the comeback schedule says may, but i don’t think yujin would know a fixed date for this month!), and yujin really wants more than one comeback a year, but that’s probably not happening

the story with yujin’s all the same: element’s not going anywhere so gold star wants to push her into every direction they can because she’s very marketable as a soloist

the one thing yujin wants more than anything is to maybe release another song as a soloist, but she doesn’t think that’s happening (though it will happen in june!! she just doesn’t know about it yet!!) 

overall, she’s homesick in the beginning of the month when she’s in america, and she really wants to stay in korea. wants korean promotions, and she hopes this drama of her’s gets element a little more recognition instead of just bae yujin

SUJI

promotions for &ND will be coming to an end this month! the song didn’t do as well as her first one which will affect gold star’s decision on choosing another suji song as a title. especially since her groupmate got a music show win with a portal song, they really want suji to win and not just do well on the digital charts

suji’s still happy that she just got to release the album even though not much of it was written by herself. she’s going to go deep into songwriting and composing on her own after &ND. she’s mostly been a lyricist up to this point, but she’s super interested in learning how to compose something more than just piano chords. if someone wants to help her out, feel free to hit me up!! suji will be fascinated by all your fancy equipment

it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but her music bank mc position will be extended so you can see her pretty much every friday if anybody is promoting! minus the days her schedule doesn’t allow her which includes about two weeks this month because she’s in switzerland

by the way, the switzerland trip was both relaxing and stressful at the same time. she likes traveling with her members and getting to explore switzerland, but she’s too close to her parents for comfort. she’s been avoiding england for so long now, and when her sister contacts her, she can’t help but be reminded of her parents she’s been avoiding for a while

so she comes back to korea pretty stressed, and so she pretty much stays inside her apartment trying to write songs because that helps her relax 

HYEJU

busy getting ready for i just wanna dance. she’s officially blonde around mid-february, and she’ll be living in the bc building to record her album, and then she’ll be flying to LA when her schedule allows her to film the music video as well as the album pictures 

the album doesn’t excite her too much because she still thinks it’s been thrown at her in a rushed manner

hyeju’s pretty fluent in japanese so the extra classes don’t bother her too much, and she likes being anywhere but the recording studio this month so 

the japanese music video is cheap, but the song and choreography is decent... she guesses... kind of annoyed how they’re getting such treatment, but lipstick’s 8 years old now so it’s expected. doesn’t stop her from getting annoyed, i guess?? it’s mixed feelings really 

hyeju’s just super busy this month, and so she probably won’t be willing to leave her house even more than usual so if anybody wants to see her face, come to bc’s building or come ring her up at home

MIRU

me promotions are still going on. she still hates the song, but what’s new, right? 

at least she got to cover the february issue of marie claire. she’s happy with how the photoshoot turned out, and she hopes it opens more doors for her when it comes to modeling and getting brand deals 

speaking of brand deals, she gets hit up for hazzys accessories and will start being their brand ambassador in march! she’ll probably hear of this mid-late february, and so she’s in a better mood towards the end of me promotions! 

overall, a little worried because me obviously didn’t do as well as their last few songs, and dimensions is just annoying with the whole new building. she’s same old miru being same old annoyed and pissy. like her self para said: what else is new? she’s always like that

the rumors have been floating around for a while now. with promotions going on, miru’s spent a lot of her time in the company building, practicing and trying to make sure she’s perfecting a song that she’s pretty sure she’s already perfected the moment she learned it. the fact that she had to put in time for a song like me was disappointing, but the gossip and whispers among the staff members made it a little more interesting.

to be honest, she’s a little shocked that dimensions went and acquired a company. was there really much of a benefit? except maybe snatching up that soloist who at this point is just a has-been. the new ost did her wonders, but miru’s also been caught up on all those stories about her. maybe if she manages to be as good as she had been in the past then she’ll win the hearts of the public again. it’s cases like her that makes miru think that companies are even stricter on their idols when it comes to dating. it only takes one “scandal” for everything to come tumbling down. 

the new building’s nice. with the amount of money dimensions probably spent on it, she didn’t expect any less. the money probably could have been spent on better things like 7rophy’s production value or maybe the other artists because she’s feeling a little generous. the shiny walls, and the squeaky clean floors are quite creepy at this point, and she thinks it’ll take some time to adjust. she’s spent so many years at the old building, and while this one does indeed like new, it doesn’t really feel right. at least not now. if their bathrooms are any better then miru’s certain she’ll grow fond of it.

miru can’t help but wonder how much of the money 7rophy has made went into the building. it’s probably close to like 2% because they only recently started bringing in actual profit. hell, their debts weren’t even paid off yet. it amazes her that despite having groups like 7rophy who “flopped” in the beginning, for the lack of a better word, dimensions still manages to move into a fancy new building. was this a risk? or was dimensions really bagging in this much money? in miru’s eyes, her own company was very clearly lacking behind the other top two, and she hasn’t seen them pull such an egotistic move. whatever the motive behind the move is, all miru wants is for the place to have better security. that’s definitely something dimensions can afford now, isn’t it?

eunahfmd‌:

miru’s praise makes eunah’s heart flutter. it means a lot more than she thinks the other knows to have her support. she reaches across to miru and squeezes her hand gently. as eunah’s gotten closer to the other girls over the years, she’s become much more receptive to any physical displays of affection and friendship, but it’s still rare that eunah will initiate contact like this. it always serves as a way to punctuate important things, when she wants to really get her point across.

“thank you, it’s … it’s exciting. i think i’m going to have more screentime this season too,” eunah says, bristling with pride. “i just hope it lives up to season one.”

eunah wrinkles her nose, nodding quickly in agreement with miru. she leans back on the couch. “i’m sure lux would love to hear you say that … if you stay for long enough, she’ll probably be home soon. you’re right, by the way. the beat drop feels so generic, or something. it’s not going to make us stand out. that’s what worries me.”

miru was comfortable with eunah, she really was. she considered her a friend and as group members, they worked well together. but there was something about eunah that made her a little hesitant. it mostly had to do with the fact that the two were a lot more similar than people sought them out to be. their concerns, the way they dealt with them and just their overall thought process usually overlapped, and it just gave her the chills. 

eunah’s also quite easy to read which miru thinks is a characteristic of herself as well. miru can read her like an open book so she squeezes her hand back, knowing that the gesture means a lot more because it’s coming from eunah. “i’m sure it will. a lot of people are living up to it and from what i’ve seen you practice, it seems like your part’s gotten a little bigger. must mean you did something right,” she commented. 

the mention of their new song has her crinkling her nose as well though in a different manner than eunah. “it is generic. i say we all barge into the ceo’s office and demand him to listen to us! we know what works for us best. why won’t anybody ever listen?”

7ROPHY’s Miru covers Maria Claire Korea’s February issue

7ROPHY’s Miru took on her first solo magazine cover on Marie Clarie Korea’s February issue. Miru debuted back in 2015 with 7ROPHY, and the group has steadily been rising in popularity. As the lead vocalist and lead dancer of the group, she supports 7ROPHY in their vocals and performance, providing a uniqueness to their sound with her vocal colors.

In the cover, Miru is spotted wearing an orange-red dress that matches her lovely image along with a natural make-up look that accentuates her features. Throughout the spread, she is spotted posing in front of the same silky, beige-colored background, demonstrating different fun and energetic expressions and poses.

For her interview, the female idol answers questions about 7ROPHY’s rising popularity as well as her possible interest in more solo activities. In relation to the spirit of February and Valentine’s Day, she also answers questions about her outlook on love and relationships as well as how her nickname cupid has changed the way she expresses her loves to her fans.

headcanon 004: miru’s relationship with fans word count: 439 words

miru is quite active when it comes to interacting with her fans. she’s very active on instagram, making sure to update at least 3 to 4 times a week. it’s mostly to make sure that her fans have content because everybody knows dimensions isn’t too great with that, but also she just takes a lot of pictures of herself, and she likes uploading those. she thinks as someone who lives off of her image, she should be sharing a lot of the pictures that she took. she looks good in them too, so why not? 

along with her nickname cupid, she is known to be the lovely member in 7rophy. miru does her best to live up to that nickname by making sure to make eye contact with all her fans and giving them a wide smile wherever she goes. she’s a master at catching cameras that are filming her, and so her fansites have lots of pictures where she’s making direct eye contact with the camera. that also brings her a lot of praise from people who aren’t 7rophy fans. she’s seen as being very genuine when it comes to her fans

while miru may appear to be distant personally when it comes to her personal relationships with people, she believes in maintaining a close relationship with her fans. she will share information with them like what she just ate or what she hopes to do with her hair color next and so on. that leaves space for lot of discourse within their fanbase even when the girls aren’t actively promoting, and she knows that’s what keeps people from looking off to other girl groups

miru has quite a loud male fanbase. it probably has to do with her image of being lovely and having natural aegyo (or at least what the fans think is natural). a lot of the loud cheers that she hears are from the male fans. however, she does know she has female fans because they do appear from time to time. they’re just quieter than her male fans. the female fans tend to be younger as well or at least around her age. teenagers to younger 20′s. her male fans are wider in age range from students to “uncle” fans though they always insist on being oppa, don’t they?

overall, she’s very genuine when it comes to her fans. that’s one part of this job that miru would say she isn’t faking at all. the lovely image she keeps up with may be fake at times, but the looks she gives her fans and the way she’s always thanking them is very real

jaehui remained quiet as he listened to her speak. he never realized just how much he missed hearing her voice, until it was filling the room they were in. it was always so gentle and calming to him, and even though it was filled with fear and anxiety he couldn’t help but grin as he listened.

he didn’t respond to her compliments though, and instead nodded his head toward the door. “you can leave if you want to.” his voice was quiet. “i don’t want you to feel like you have to be here to see me. i just thought it would be nice to catch up since we haven’t been in the same place at the same time in god knows how long.” he let out an uncomfortable laugh before looking down at his hands and began to pick at his fingers. “i didn’t think about it before inviting you here..i’m sorry.” he was scared to look up to her now. scared that he would look up and see her carefully moving out of the room and leaving him alone again. maybe this was a bad idea after all.

a sharp gasp left her lips at the sudden coldness on her body. miru knows that her words are saying one thing yet her body language is saying another. she completely melted into his embrace, and she was disappointed at how quickly he’s unwrapped himself from her. it’s not something she should be feeling at all, but the breath that escaped her said otherwise. almost as if she had no choice, her body was betraying her. 

if somebody else were to see their situation, they’d find it ridiculous. or more like they’d fine her ridiculous. when miru finally felt like she was getting what she deserved from the industry, she was overwhelmed. she felt like she couldn’t have two great things at once, and so it was her choice to end things. yet here she was, her eyes never leaving him even as she followed him to the couch. 

his words take her by surprise, and she sits there for a moment in contemplation. that would be the smart thing to do, and in this situation it probably would be the right thing as well. however, she already took the risk in meeting up with him. a few more minutes couldn’t hurt, right? 

“i’m not leaving,” she answered, following his gaze down to his hands. reaching over, she hesitates right before his hands and instead grabs his wrist instead, urging him to look up at her. he’s warm. jaehui’s always been warm. maybe that’s why she liked him so much. miru’s hands and feet had a tendency to always be cold, but he was just so warm all the time. “i missed... talking to you too.” she almost let the you slip, but she hopes he can read between the lines.

“I’m going to need this arm,” Seunghyun chided gently and gave Miru an apologetic smile. He’d been in the early stages of throwing dinner together when the woman had arrived and not at the very least finishing what he’d been doing had felt wrong. “Let me finish up cooking and I’m all yours for the evening,” he promised, though he made no move to shake Miru off.

Their… friendship? Was odd. Was it a friendship? Seunghyun wasn’t all that sure. It had seemed like that at the beginning but things had been simpler back then. Things usually tended to be. But she had stayed and he’d let her and now Seunghyun found himself in the odd position of wanting to look after her but being unsure how much of it she actually needed — and how much of it was an act because being cared for was convenient. He couldn’t fault her for that, at least. There were perks to being on a good foot with a senior artist.

“Are you really bored, though, Miru-yah? Isn’t 7rophy is promoting now? I don’t want to keep you from spending your free time the way you’d like, rather than keeping me company.” He studied her expression. “I may give off the impression of a hermit but it’s not quite that bad.”

truthfully, she’s just invited herself over. there were lots of thoughts in her head especially with the comeback soon as well as the fact that she was going to have to move out of the dorms in the next month or so. she’s one of the last ones left, but she just hasn’t found the time to go apartment searching. or maybe that’s an excuse. really, she doesn’t want to leave the dorms just yet. 

“i hope you made enough for two!” she exclaims before letting go of his arm. however, she didn’t move too far away and instead continued to hover besides him. her initial intentions with seunghyun was just to get closer to someone who may prove beneficial to her career. that’s what was usually on her mind because what’s the point of having true friends in an industry like this one? 

leaning onto the counter, she shrugged before taking a look at whatever he was cooking. “i’m not bored in that sense. i’d rather have me promotions be over even thought it just started.” miru rolled her eyes at the thought of her incompetent comeback song. “i like spending time with you. it’s a lot more interesting, trust me,” she assured him, sending a playful wink in his direction.

7ROPHY’s Miru stars in CF for Innisfree

Along with her group, it appears that 7rophy’s Miru is on a rise of her own as Innisfree released a CF starring the female idol. Innisfree, known for their natural resources and products, has released a commercial for their Jeju Orchid Enriching Cream. In the 30-second video, Miru is spotted walking around a snowy forest, narrating the effects of the cream.

This is Miru’s first individual CF and when asked on why she was chosen, Innisfree representatives stated, “Miru’s youthful yet lovely image fit well with the fresh and active ingredients that went into making the cream. We thought that she would be a great fit with the product.“

7ROPHY has recently made a comeback with the single “Me (美)” and is in the middle of promotions.

he patiently paced the floors as he waited, but it wasn’t long before she came sliding into the door. turning toward the door with a shocked look, he made sure it was her before he finally smiled. her voice was soft and gentle. like she was scared of something, it took him a bit by surprise. wouldn’t she have been excited to see him? to hug him again? because god knew jaehui was elated to see her and to hold her for a bit of time before they went their separate ways again. he shrugged lazily at her question before giving an answer, “i know people i guess.” laughing softly, he took the piece of paper from her hand and was a bit surprised when she held onto his hand. at that, jaehui felt a wave of relief come over him. maybe she was excited to see him..but just scared for other reasons.

he pulled her in for a hug and swayed there in the middle of the room with her in his arms. “i missed seeing your face in person so much.” he whispered against her head. “you look absolutely beautiful.”

this was the reason she broke up with him in the first place. with 7rophy’s rise to popularity and actually being a relevant group, she couldn’t risk being involved with someone else. especially someone like jaehui. he had fame and fans, two things that she didn’t. the risk was just too high, and with miru only starting to get a taste of real fame, she set her priorities straight. love just wasn’t worth it at the end of the day. though she never really stopped thinking about him, and the way he treated her like she mattered; a feeling that she wasn’t used to .

she lets out a gasp at the sudden pull, and before she can protest, she’s already in his arms. her arms stay frozen for a moment before she reluctantly wraps them around his neck, allowing herself to be pulled even closer from the height difference. instinctively, one of her hands travel to the back of his hair, and she’s gently stroking it before she realizes her actions. her hand drops, and she knows that she should push him away, but she can’t find any strength in herself to do so. jaehui feels comfortable, he feels protective, almost like a shelter she can rest in whenever she’s stressed. that’s what he was at once. 

“we shouldn’t be doing this.” her voice is still closer to a whisper in fear of the possibility of somebody passing by and hearing them. did she lock the door? she’s certain she did as soon as she closed it shut, but now her heart’s racing at the fact that they could be caught at any moment. would it have been worse to caught while they were dating or to be caught at this point when they’re already over? “but you look nice too. i like the new song.” though it pains her to admit it, miru’s been keeping up with his activities. “it’s better than our’s.” that part is absolutely true—hell, everything that comes out from her mouth around him is absolutely true.
