I still get notifications from the 'digging Lunar's new look' post, as well as the Eclipse one, every so often, which is very funny to me

It’s kind of funny to see the literal divide of the TSAMS fandom over Eclipse’s return. His return was something I’ve kind of predicted was going to happen, but wasn’t holding out much hope on. I’m super happy that he’s back, but scared about what TSAMS might do with his character. I don’t want to see him just, reused for the same things and then killed off again.
Like, I’m really hoping TSAMS upholds the redemption arc for Eclipse that they teased over on LAES right after his death. Even if he just becomes a neutral party or plays a sort of anti-hero role, I want him to get his chance at redemption.
A friend and I were just talking about the dynamic between Lunar and Eclipse if Eclipse ever apologized or tried to redeem himself to Lunar’s standard. This would be so interesting to watch. Because Lunar would not accept the apology. That much is clear. He hates Eclipse and has stated so several times. Lunar would down right refuse the apology (which he has every right to do). It would take a lot of work on Eclipse part, work Lunar would need to visually watch him do and/or see the consequences of, in order for Lunar to accept the apology. I would absolutely love to see Eclipse struggling to heal himself, constantly pushing forward and then backsliding for whatever reason. I need to see him fight to be better even when he feels he doesn’t want to be better.
Not to mention his and Sun’s dynamic. Sun does not like Eclipse, and is probably the most fearful of Eclipse besides Lunar. But at the same time, I feel like Sun might be the best way to getting Eclipse through a redemption arc. This is mostly personal feelings and speculation, but Eclipse and Sun have always had this really weird dynamic that was super interesting to watch. Sun hates Eclipse and had even tried to kill him himself at one point, but he also oddly seems to be the most sympathetic towards Eclipse. With Sun’s mental state where it is right now, and how he handled the whole Foxy and Monty situation recently, I think there might be a shot at Sun having the most logical reactions towards Eclipse right now. He’s unhinged but sympathetic enough to listen to his most hated enemy. They still both hate each other, but it’s kind of like the stereotype where the villain is the only one allowed to bully the hero. That relationship dynamic between those two would be hilarious to watch in my opinion.
With the way TSAMS has been handling things, a redemption isn’t going to happen. But I’m hoping.
Because I wholeheartedly don’t agree with “not everyone can be saved”. There were so many moments Eclipse could have been helped, had anyone actually known how to help him. Earth was probably the closest we ever got to that kind of character, but she had already pretty much sided with Sun and Moon by the time she had her therapy talk with Eclipse.

Having Earth actually admit that Eclipse was trying to change, but literally no one cared enough to help him, kind of made me feel vindicated. Like, this is the point I have been trying to prove since before Eclipse’s death. Eclipse was a fucking mess but he was trying.
Earth saying what she did made it canon that Eclipse was actually changing. No one liked what he was saying, but he was trying to save them. He was killed off not because he couldn’t have been helped, but because everyone just hated him. That’s it. He died trying to protect the very people that killed him.
I get it. This was kind of a “your actions have consequences” story. Everyone had a right to hate Eclipse for what he did, and fear and distrust what he was trying to do. Their feelings were completely valid.
The thing is, by admitting what she did, Earth also admitted that there was no need to kill him. They killed him because they wanted to, it was not a need.
Was death really the answer? Was killing really going to fix anything? Because at this point it hasn’t changed a thing. Their lives are still an absolute mess even with Eclipse gone. His spot was just filled by even bigger problems to face. At least with Eclipse they knew what they were dealing with. The Astrals are a completely new enemy they may not even have the ability to fight.
Eclipse warned of all of this. He tried to help. He even gave them a way to get rid of him without death. He was willing to give up any power he had to live out his life completely separate from them. He even gave up the Star. His one big advantage over them, the thing he had been working so hard to get, and he was willing to hand it over.
Eclipse didn’t have to die. It was simply murder in cold blood.

Seeing a lot of excitement over the new Five Nights movie and I'm very excited too!
This is your not so gentle reminder that if you want this movie to do well and for more movies to potentially be made, YOU NEED TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE IN THEATERS IF YOU ARE ABLE TO!
Studios are very behind the times and DO NOT count streaming views toward Box Office numbers. They don't count that as revenue which means that even if a million people paid for Peacock specifically to stream this movie, the studio is only going to look at the maybe 10,000 or so people who went to see it in theaters. (Yes, I'm pulling these numbers randomly out of nowhere to make my point.)
If they're not making their money back through Box Office ticket purchases, that pretty much guarantees that any future movies in the Five Nights universe likely won't see the light of day for decades to come, if ever again.
Blum House is NOT a big studio and they can't afford to be taking big risks. If this movie doesn't do well enough, they won't be making another one. It's as simple as that.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you're able to make it to the theater to see this film, please do! It won't guarantee future films but it will sure as sugar make it a lot more likely to happen! We want this movie to do well! We want our voices to be heard and we do that by purchasing movie tickets!

So I’m about to rewatch all of the TSAMS episodes that Eclipse is in so I can do an in-depth character study of him, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in me making a small series out of it? Just like, daily posts about details from what I watched. Most of it will just be my personal opinions based on what I’m given in the show, but I’ll be going into things like his personality, his goals, how they change throughout the show, any obvious retcons or retcons I think happened, canon events to back up my thoughts. Just me rambling about him to really understand him better for when I have to write him. Really break down his character and his own traumas. These posts would totally be open for you guys’ input and thoughts as well, I’d love to hear anything you guys would have to say.

Hello.
In case anyone needs to hear this, if you need to take a step back and breath after today's episode, please take time to do so. :)
Eclipse is a major character, there were two deaths in today's episodes, and it's okay and completely normal if you need time to grieve.
It does not matter why. If you need too, you need too.
If you need to take a break from the show that is okay. It will be here if you choose to come back and if you do not, that is fine too. You aren't betraying anyone, or being dramatic, or any thing else.
Take care of yourselves, fellow sams fans.

Well, see now I'm just
fucking upset about Solar Flare too.
This
ROBOT
because that's what he was, an entity guided solely by his programming, to protect Killcode, who had begun to experience sentience. He's not an animatronic, he's a body with programming who's controlled by his directives that has only just begun to understand life. and maybe, MAYBE he understood, maybe it was more than just code at the end. The way he talked, he had a deeper understanding beyond what his programming told him, you know? But he was still driven by his code.
Solar Flare who, from his introduction on the 6th of February to his first 'death' on the 8th of March, was around for a little over a month.
Solar Flare, who was presumed dead by most, all the way up until it was revealed he had sunk his claws into living because of his one purpose on June 17th, THREE MONTHS AFTER HIS 'DEATH'.
Solar Flare whose introduction episode was prefaced with a message addressing how people didn't like all the new characters. THAT was his introduction, THAT was what he was paired with.
Solar Flare who appeared in only THREE episodes before he was killed the first time, and SIX OVER THE COURSE OF THE ENTIRE SHOW. Who had the same amount of fucking screen time as fucking GARBAGE GUY.
A character who is, arguably, one of the least important on the show. Created as a tool for someone else, and treated like an enemy by most everyone
IS THE ONE WHO ULTIMATELY HAD THE LARGEST PART TO PLAY IN KILLING WHAT IS ARGUABLY ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERS ON THE SHOW.
And in doing so, he sacrificed himself. He knew he would die.
And he FUCKING
accepted it. Gently. No fighting. A character who had only just begun to experience life and self, graciously accepted it was his time and attempted to get Eclipse to accept it as well. He tried to give Eclipse a sort of peace in the end, as well.
I just...
Fuck.
'Do you think it hurts?'
'We cannot feel pain.'
'Goodbye Eclipse. It is time for us to go.'

WE'RE DONE
Tumblr media
Ramble under cut
GUYS I'M ILL
Because there's been hints that what Eclipse has been seeing is possibly the fourth wall, I'm interested what was driving him insane. The fact he was almost reverting to Early TSAMS behavior made me go 😶
Eclipse getting frustrated that no one was listening but also not knowing how to express it in a healthy way so he's just screaming at everyone like a FUCKING CAT. And also Sun stepping in front of Earth when Eclipse threatens them. Very wholesome. (Sun 🌞 wukong...)
Good Eclipse's universe is like a year behind right? Is that why the whole sacrifice thing was there or am I looking too far? But anyway Good Eclipse <33 bbg we love youuu! Moon getting Good Eclipse out of the way was very sweet <3
Eclipse being adamant on being fully capable on his own. Hmmmm sounds like a certain Moon we knew... and him desperately BEGGING to listen to him. Passively suicidal I see.
Solar Flare also pretty calmly telling Eclipse he needs to die, and let go. (Eclipse is actually Cassidy fnaf) And Eclipse.. wants to live??
Anyway season 2 is over, can't wait for Creator to pull some bs
