I literally haven't posted on here for 2 years, but I have resurrected like the Lord himself to bring you news on this fine day of April.

She's back.

I'm tagging some of the people who reblogged or commented on this post, so don't be alarmed! Thought ya'll would want to know.

Not like an actual post or anything - kind of just a rant as I get some thoughts out since I was scrolling through my old Wattpad account and who I follow. (And yes, this is FNAF-based).

I was looking through all of the old stories that I used to read, especially the FNAF ones since that’s what I started reading and writing about, only to come upon something I and others have come to find as a mystery.

There was a writer on Wattpad that went by the user DreamWitchX - quite the lovely person who wrote three FNAF books that expanded over 100 chapters (Lord have mercy).

She archived the first two in the summer of 2019 for editing, but if you go onto her profile and check, the only books are the third book of the trilogy, the temporary chapter placement for the third book, and an ask book.

The thing is, she hasn’t updated any of the books since June 1st of 2019. This really wouldn’t be a big deal, except for the fact that she basically fell off of the internet, at least to what the general viewer can tell. 

She hasn’t responded to anything from her conversation page since the aforementioned date. Some of us, including some people in my circle, is actually worried that something had happened to her, but there is really no telling. 

It’s just an interesting little thing I’d thought I’d share - and if she somehow ever sees this I hope you’re taking care of yourself and are okay!

This is my first time writing for The Walten Files, which is surprising given how hyper-fixated I’ve been on the entire series. So if the characters are a little off, though it’s hard to tell due to the limited characterization of the canonical content, just bear with me.

Hello! I hope you had a good day.

I just wanted to ask if you plan to continue writing "Restless" bcz I really look forward to the future chapters. Also, if you don't plan to finish it that's fine lol, I understand as a fellow writer who's grown out of certain fandoms or doesn't have enough energy to muster to write book.

Also I really love your work, the way you were able to write and an actual badass of a readers is was intrigues me the most and is what is keeping me to read your work. :D

If I'm being completely honest, I have no clue about the future of Restless. It would be a true shame if I didn't see it to its completion, especially considering how much work both I and my beta-readers put into the story. (Especially considering that I have, like, fifty chapters and their plots drafted).

I think as a writer, I really need to develop the habit of writing for myself, instead of being scared about what my audience thinks (even though I do truly appreciate your support, it means a lot).

I haven't necessarily grown out of FNAF, it's like a parasite that never goes away (lovingly, of course). I think I overstressed way too much over the final product, and I stopped enjoying writing for a time period.

Perhaps once I'm in a better mindset with my works, I'll continue writing, but for now, it is going to be on hiatus until further notice. I'll be sure to post updates if anything else happens with it in the future, but for now, I'll take my leave.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Didn’t expect this, did you? To be completely fair, I didn’t really expect it either. This probably won’t be a regular thing, but I decided to try to at least write one of the requests.

You were a teenager who often enjoyed visiting your favorite childhood pizzeria - Fazbear’s. It filled your heart with bliss, watching all the young children laughing happily as they chased each other around, played on the machines, or listened to the animatronic band.

And it was absolutely your luck that a listing had happened to come out for a job at Fazbear’s; the infamous night shift. The shady restaurant chain decided to hire a teenager, despite the obvious implications of becoming even more liable for the death of a minor.

Was it even luckier for the restaurant that the animatronics were very... selective on their prey?

Freddy Fazbear

The first animatronic to realize that you were not an adult, but rather a teenager.

Despite the fact that you were on the edge of adulthood, the guilty feeling inside his gut decided to spare you instead.

It was harder for him to communicate with you in his animatronic form, forcing him to have to shift to his more human form.

Automatically told the other animatronics not to mess with you.

Especially more unstable ones like Foxy.

He ordered you not to quit and not come back to the restaurant.

As the idiot (jk, you’re not) that you are, curiosity decided to lead you back to the graveyard shift once again. 

He was annoyed but ended up enjoying your company.

If you continued to work at the company, he’d probably become a parental-type figure.

Makes sure that you’re drinking water, doing good in school, and taking care of your mental health.

Will absolutely have you sleep on shift (literally would’ve been the best shift to normally sleep on if you didn’t have murderous animatronics there, but whatever).

If you continue the job into adulthood, still will not attack you since he’s pretty much confirmed that you’re a decent person.

10/10 Friendship

Bonnie the Bunny

Chaotic besties.

You both will literally throw so many pranks around the restaurant.

It will be like Bonnie had a doppelganger.

He acts very similarly to your age, so he feels more like an older brother/best friend than a parent.

There’s the possibility that he’d be interested in teenage trends of the modern-day: bands, shows, movies.

One of the best people to have a movie night with, guarantee it.

He will abso-fucking-lutely teach you guitar.

Would be ecstatic if you asked.

Not very good with any kind of life advice though.

Totally would fight for you, but isn’t really the type to give appropriate advice besides - “why don’t you punch them in the face?”

Not necessarily overprotective or anything, but he definitely has your back if some of your bullies ever come to the restaurant or something.

Just imagine an animatronic coming up behind you and going - “talking shit?”

You’d never be bullied again.

Chica the Chicken

She is literally like your sister.

Like, I swear to God.

Will absolutely bake you sweets or cook pizza for you every night without fail.

You’ve got it made.

Would be so excited if you decided to make it with her.

If you identify as female, would definitely have girl talk with you.

Especially since she’s the only girl out of four boys.

She’d probably join into your movie nights with Bonnie.

Like can we just talk about how you guys would be the absolute best trio in the entire pizzeria?

Iconic.

Now she is definitely someone I could see as becoming a bit overprotective.

If you’re having a bad day, Mama-Bear mode instantly activates.

The doting kind that’ll bring you food, kiss your cheeks, and rub your tears away as you vent.

The best kind.

She’s very clingy to you, and absolutely hates whenever you leave the pizzeria. Sometimes she tries to convince you to hide, but Freddy usually intervenes and forces her to let you go.

She loves you (platonically) a lot, so treat her with care.

Foxy the Pirate Fox

It’s going to be very hard for him to open up to you at first.

You’d probably have to have the trust of Bonnie and Chica before you get anywhere near having a friendship with Foxy.

But when you do establish a connection, you’re friendship is one of the richest ones that there is.

There can be silence between the both of you, but you absolutely know what each other are thinking.

You spend hours exchanging stories with one another, both fake and real, providing lots of entertainment.

Sometimes you just lay on some spare cloth in the back of Pirate’s Cove, staring at the glow-in-the-dark stars as you both contemplate over different things.

Your introduction into the pizzeria causes him to start communicating with some of the others, just a little more.

You’ll spot him having small talk with Bonnie or Chica more often, which causes your heart to melt with happiness.

Is the most overprotective of animatronics.

Would actually murder someone for the smallest inconvenience.

He’s a little unstable.

This is why it is important for you to be able to intervene.

It’s not that hard, one pout and he’ll back down - begrudgingly.

Golden Freddy

It will be extremely rare that you ever come into contact with Golden Freddy.

He’d have a watchful eye on you, sure, but he wouldn’t ever talk to you unless absolutely necessary.

But one day, you come across a room in the back. His room.

Freddy would have to step in to make sure that Golden Freddy doesn’t murder you, but he’s actually quite chill.

The other animatronics didn’t know how he’d react to them being friends with a human, but he honestly doesn’t care that much.

Now becoming friends with him is another story.

I could see maybe forming some semblance of an acquaintanceship from discussions of the pizzeria’s former glory.

Perhaps you remember the days when he used to perform.

It wouldn’t be rare that the two of you could be seen making small talk, but he’s not going to join in on your activities with the others.

He does have a certain lonely aura around him.

So you often will seek him out to participate in something more his style.

Card games, board games, etc.

Your friendship would become a simple one, but it’d be nice.

He isn’t protective of you, but can easily step in during the daytime if something happens in the pizzeria. 

He trusts your intelligence, but sometimes keeps an eye on you just in case something happens.

In summary, you now have a large family of animatronics that pretty much adore you, and will continue to adore you till the end of your time. Will it end naturally? That’s up for debate ;)

i just need to vent for a moment it's just so upsetting to see so many people act like what scott did is no big deal and people are overreacting because you just know those are the kind of people that aren't affected by 'just a political opinion'. it's so upsetting to see just how much homophobia is coming out of this in what i thought was a nice community and i dont even know if i can keep looking at any fnaf content the same way ever again, which also sucks because that includes the nice creators since just looking at fnaf will remind me of this mess

I completely understand where you are coming from, and it's completely valid. I feel very similar since I've seen some people go off on transphobic and homophobic rants in response to those who criticize Cawthon. It does disgust me that we have people like that in our community, but I'm relieved that the majority of the content creators I follow in the community haven't acted like this.

It’s not ‘just’ a political opinion, folks. It is actively supporting people who have caused harm and wishes to cause harm. Donating to the orange fool and voting for him was an act of supporting a man who’s spread dangerous misinformation, has spread transphobic and queerphobic views, is openly misogynist, openly racist, and openly ableist. This was a vote to extend the fear and pain experienced for four years, and Cawthon openly admitted to supporting a known transphobe that wants us gone. This is not just an opinion, this is dangerous rhethoric that has led to harm and will lead to harm. Voting in the US, especially in 2020, was black and white; if you voted for the orange fool, you voted for four more years of danger, of fear of losing your rights, of the line being shifted more and more to the right. This is not just an opinion; it is a stance on human rights.

Not to mention, Cawthon admitted to donating his money to these people; to people who has supported an act of domestic terrorism, who denied a global pandemic, who tried to sabotage a democratic vote and used dictator-esque rhethoric, and too much more to when get into. This is what’s damning; the unapologetic support for people who wish to silence minorities and skew a vote in their favour. That is what’s being supported.

‘But Iris, Cawthon has donated so much money to pro-queer and POC and disabled causes!’ Yes? I am well aware of this, and commend that, but it doesn’t change the fact his recent actions could have caused so much harm. That it has caused harm. His unapologetic treatment of these facts is what people are upset about; he doesn’t care that he supported people who’s mission was to hurt minorities, it doesn’t change the fact he cannot see why people are upset, nor does it change that he still support those decisions, and implicitly stated he currently support them. He has done good things, but he has also done bad things with horrid implications. He’s not a good person, but I cannot say he is irrevocably bad, only a cis straight white man who fell right into his stereotypical privilege and refuses to change. He doesn’t care about us, not truly, not if he cannot listen to us and why we would be upset, why we would be angry at his statements. The fact he doubled down shows more of his actual personality, and skewes him more towards ‘bad’, but that’s my own biased opinion. I do not support him, and it honestly frustrates and disgusts me that he hides behind religion like all the other cowards like him. It’s a coward’s position to refuse to actually understand why what you did may be wrong, and it’s a coward’s position to state it’s just ‘your opinion’.

Whilst I am on that, yes, it is, in fact, cowardly to respond to all of the sadness, betrayal, and anger with ‘don’t judge someone on their political opinions!!’. You dodge the actual reason for these emotions, and instead dig your head in the sand so you won’t have to hear it. Yet, many of you will turn around to any ”sjw”, ”leftist”, or ”liberal” and cry about their opinions. We are not allowed to hold or express our opinions on politics, because how dare we strive for a better world? It’s hypocritical at best and malicious attacks at worst. This whole event is not just about ‘political opinions’, but about the actual work done to remove the rights of humans. That is what people are mad about. Or have you all forgotten the camps at the border, the limitation of rights, the purposful racism, the denying of healthcare and a global pandemic, the act of domestic terrorism, and the attempt at a coup? These things happened, and this is what Cawthon supported. This is the truth of the person who put on the mask as a kind man who donates money to charities from the money he gained from minorities. This is the truth behind the man. Someone who can ignore all the bad that has happened because ‘oh the economy!’ Horrid excuse for the danger it put us all in. The economy was not in danger, human lives were in danger.

To end this, it is up to you if you wish to support the games or not financially. Security Breach is headed by another study, and if you wish to support them, that is your choice. It is your choice what you wish to support financially, and if you still wish to buy merch. I can and will not make that decision for anyone, because sometimes it’s difficult. I understand that. It can feel conflicting, and it’s OK to take time to find what you’re comfortable with. The same goes with the fandom and the games itself; you can still enjoy it, you can still consume it. Doing so does not make you a bad person, but do not express anger for those who cannot engage anymore due to this. It’s an incredible personal thing, and this has hurt so many. Do not hurt yourself uneccesserily, and do not hurt others. Block and avoid, and take care of yourselves. Cawthon has dug his own grave, you do not need to follow him.

And to those who defend him without even blinking; I hope you can at least open your eyes to why people are angry. Because the truth is, many of you blatantly ignore the facts to just complain about ‘hate’ and ‘cruelty’. This is not what is happening, and I do hope you can at least see the humans behind the words. Cawthon does not need to be defended; he made his stance clear. He does not care about us, and he does not show any regret. If you feel like you support him, then I cannot stop you. I just hope you can see the damage done someday, and improve as humans. The same goes for the man mentioned. He has the capacity to change, and I hope he can. It’s sad to see another creator rip off the mask to show their true colours, and it’s sad to see how many people he’s hurt. It’s sad, and I mourn for what once was. Perhaps he can change, but right now he has to live with the consequences of his actions. He hurt people, and he’s unapologetic about it.

Watching half the fandom lick Scott’s boots after his reddit rely that said “oh yeah I supported trump and I also think the war on terror is real and I don’t regret it” is really cringe

Just gonna publish one long ask about this before moving on instead of 10 different ones:

First, the fact that people doxxed him and were sending him death threats is disgusting. The only people you should be doxxing are nazis, pedophiles, and serial killers.

But with that aside, the post isn't exactly encouraging. It's pretty hard to sit there saying that you're not homophic/racist/whatever when you're actively donating to parties that hurt those groups. "If you house foxes with chickens you'll soon be left with only foxes" and all that.

And it's one thing if he had voted for Trump's bitch ass without knowing these things (somehow), but he's not exactly apologizing for anything. It's fine if you thought he was the best candidate at the time for some godforsaken reason, but that doesn't change the fact that the person you were supporting actively hurts minorities and the queer community.

Plus the vague allusions to the war on terror and being pro-life (war on terror stuff usually being racist and pro-life harming women) aren't looking so hot.

With that said, it's probably a fool's errand to try to say he's all good or all bad; he's done bad things, but he's also done a lot of good things. Believe it or not, IRL people are multi-faceted and can have contradictory behavior, shocking I know.

In terms of whether or not it's okay to support FNAF still, that is (in my personal opinion) a personal decision that's up to you. The big thing is that FNAF doesn't reflect the author's viewpoints (like HP does with JK's bullshit transphobia for instance). And in all honestly, if you refuse to enjoy anything made by someone who's done something problematic you're not gonna be able to enjoy anything.

Likewise, you can also just enjoy FNAF without spending any money on it. Just keep in mind that some products made by other companies, like SB, have other people working on the games that aren't Scott.

For me, personally, I've mostly lost interest in FNAF over the years and am really just keeping an eye on it out of curiosity, and I haven't bought merch or anything for years, so it won't affect this blog much. I'll probably still answer asks about it and stuff, seeing as it's not really doing any harm, but do know that I don't support Scott's viewpoints in the slightest.

To clarify, I don’t hate Scott Cawthon, I don’t like what he did and will be focusing on fnaf instead of the creator. Please don’t harass others over their opinions, we are all a part of the same community. I love you all dearly and will support you any way I can.

Hey! I hope I'm not the only one, but I wanted to know your opinion on what's been going on (with Scott Cawthon being shown to have donated to anti-LGBTQ politicians).

Thank you for asking! If some of you haven't heard, Scott Cawthon has recently come to light to have donated to Republican politicians, many of which have pushed for anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-abortion laws. He recently addressed everything in a statement, which I will include:

Without anything else, let me address this for the first and hopefully last time. Should Scott Cawthon have been doxed? Of fucking course not. Those who took an active part in purposely spreading Cawthon's home address and other personal information should be ashamed of themselves. That has never been, and will never be okay. Scott Cawthon is entitled to his own opinion in the political spectrum. However, he is not entitled to freedom from backlash once that opinion comes to light. People are fully entitled to feel whatever they want about the situation. Everyone is allowed to distance themselves or leave the community entirely (especially BIPOC or LGBTQ+ members). They have every right to be outraged that such a big public figure has financially backed and supported those who have publicly not only expressed their disdain for those communities but have also tried and sometimes succeeded in passing laws that brought devastation to those communities. If you choose to continue to support Scott Cawthon and his games, you may continue to do so - it is your right as an individual to make your choice in this situation. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am personally extremely uncomfortable with the donations Cawthon has made, and am therefore drawing my personal support for him as an individual off of the table. And I have every right to do so. To those who are commenting about how people are overreacting to the situation and are being babies, please grow up and try to put yourself in others' shoes and try to have empathy for others. Where do I stand? I'm still going to continue loving his previous creations and I will remain in the fandom. However, I am personally drawing back my support for Scott Cawthon, as I am incredibly uncomfortable with his actions. I can understand that Scott Cawthon is fully allowed to have his own opinion, as I've stated previously. I don't have to be comfortable with his opinion, and I don't have to support him. End of story.
