Yagi loves kids. Babies and toddlers, especially. Kind of always wanted some of his own. But with his line of work… haha no way. Not just his career being dangerous as is, but the huge target the symbol of peace paints, and Nighteye’s prediction… it’s just another piece of that Domestic Bliss he yearns for but knows he’ll never be able to have.

But then Eri happens, and he can’t help but dote on her, and he figures it’ll be fine - she’s under Aizawa-kun’s wing, the safest place in Japan by Yagi’s opinion (in spite of what those asshole reportersmight say) so he… he let’s himself get attached more than he typically would. He learns fancy braids for her. Consults with other parenting heroes about kids fashion. Safe/ethical brands to buy. So on and so forth. Aizawa is amused, and kind of thinks it’s sweet? A little weird maybe, and he had his concerns at first when Eri was still so reluctant to see others… but she’s warmed up so much to Yagi and so looks forward to his visits. If he’s being honest with himself, she’s not the only one who does.

Then Yagi comes to him with a strange request. He approaches kinda nervously and asks him to help get his perma-small body back in shape like… he knows perfect health is a pipe dream but he at least wants to build up endurance and muscle since he’s gonna live like this now. It’s a major struggle, and it’s difficult and Yagi is having other more mental complications with it too and in general it’s just not really going well, and Aizawa pushes Yagi like “Why are you even doing this? You know enough to protect yourself like any other civilian. If you’re trying get back out there I’m not gonna fucking enable you. Decide why this is so important to you and then come back. I don’t waste my time with hopeless cases, you know that. Give me a fucking reason to keep putting you through this.”

And Yagi just… kinda bows his head, and quietly…

“Eri-chan’s getting bigger. If… if she grows more… I still want to be able to pick her up.”

And Shouta just. Crumples.

“…oh. Okay. Let’s… let’s try this again.”

I just thought about something more to add to this:

Eri would get nightmares because of her trauma and Inko would ask her what the nightmare was about. And together they just imagine the end of the dream, where 99,99999% of the times it's Izuku saving her from whoever she must be saved and that makes Eri fall asleep and sleep well until it's time to wake up

Eri would also be a bit confused about Deku's All Might merch since she doesn't really know him and she would binge watch every single DVD Izuku has and when Izuku comes home from time to time she would just ask him so many questions about him. Of course Izuku adores answering them and Inko is the happiest mom ever!

Ok but just imagine Eri being adopted by Midoriya’s mom, getting all the love she deserves and his hero as his brother!

And Eri and Inko always talking about Izuku while eating and just being happy together, doing girly things and aaah I’m too hyped for this now *.*
