What is Fódlan Treats?

Fódlan Treats is a for profit Fire Emblem: Three Houses themed cookbook and art zine. We are dedicated to make this a beautiful book with real recipes that you can make and beautiful Fire Emblem: Three Houses themed artwork.

What is this zine about?

Since food is such a big part of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, this zine will be a cookbook with many recipes from the game and more, interwoven with art depicting our favorite characters.

Who can participate?

There will be between 20-25 artists in total. We are looking for another 5 -9 artists and a Cover artist. The mods will give an impartial review based on the art you submit when applying. We are all very excited to see everyone art!

Will you choose who I draw or can I draw any character I like?

We want artists to have as much freedom in their art as possible, but we would like as many characters as possible from the game in this zine. You will be assigned a character but we will do our very best that is a character you like. If however, you wish to add more characters to your Artwork along with with your assigned character you are more than welcome to and in fact encouraged to do so! !

Will you provide a recipe?

We have several talented chefs working on making the recipes in the game into a reality, and will provide a recipe. However we are always open to suggestions and if there is a recipe you would like included please let the mods know. If it fits the theme of the zine we will try our best to include it in the Zine but cannot guarantee that it will be included.

Our main objective:

Although it is a for profit zine, the main goal is to have fun and make enough sales to cover costs for each contributor to receive a free copy of the zine, including shipping and if possible merch bundle. If we do make a profit, it will be divided equally between all contributors. There will be 100% transparency with all finances every step of the way and these will be available for all Contributors to request to view at any point.

Do I keep the rights to my art?

All the rights to your art belongs to you! We will only use the art in the zine but you keep all rights to your artwork! We do ask that previews and progress pieces not be shared until mods give permission. Final pieces can be posted after shipping of the zine had concluded.

Tentative Schedule

September 28: applications open

October 7: applications close

October 7 to October 15: emails will go out

Oct 15: Recipe and Character distribution

November 1: Idea’s Check in

December 1: First Check in , rough sketch.

February 1: Second Check in.

March 29: Final Piece

At the latest, April 30th: Pre Orders start to coincide with the Fire Emblem:Three Houses Major Update and Expansion Release.

Shipping TBD (this will depend greatly on how fast the manufacturers turnover is but we do not envision it will take longer than 1-2 months.)
