Monkey Deli
A vegan Deli in the middle of the Karoviertel one of Hamburgs could be something little weird for one or another but not for me. I love vegetables and plant based food cause here you have to be creative. Monkey deli offers a weekly menue with lots of delicays. Almondmilk for the coffee, one of Hamburgs most beautiful little gem food places

Sakura Sushi - Hamburg
Sakura Sushi is from what i can tell not only the best sushi lunch place in Hamburg but also a hectic but still authentic place where soft classic music sound and lovely japanese being busy with their sushi rolls. Everything is arranged very nice in a big self service vitrine and you can choose your menu out of a colorful selection of sushis. I find the atmosphere the best. It seems that everyone who comes here knows the place and quality and so its to me a very satisfied mood. It's so quick and fresh. They have different menu offers which vary with what time of the day it is. Mittagsmenus are Udon Noodle Soup, a choice of Sushi or just a picked up variety out of the vitrine. Try and enjoy.

Luncheonette - Hamburg
Luncheonette is a new Deli breakfast and lunch place in Altonas Bahrenfelder Straße. Its one of these places who are like a little light at the end of Hamburgs fastfood tunnel. I’m not the kind of Currywurst and Döner type and can’t with anything woknoodle, Pizzahut slice alike. So this place was a high five. Some big apple influence in the middle of Hamburg. This is amazing. Pastrami Reuben Sandwiches, real mayonaise and a wide range of delicious dishes and drinks. The interior is well for Worldtraveller nothing new but for hamburg a cherry on top of all the overseen couches and granny-vintage chairs. Vintage Wood furniture, handpainted blackbord menues and a big glazed tile counter with super friendly service. Well done Luncheonette i’ll be there soon again and spread the word for all the sandwichlovers in town.

Frachtraum - Hamburg
Frachtraum is one of Eimsbuettels new all day long favourite places. The place is cozy and has a nice urban Terrace where you'll get a glimpse of Heusswegs streetlife but still can sit laid-back with a good coffee or drink enjoying some sun or windy weather. Their breakfast menue is simple but good selected and you should definately try one of the delicious Stullen. big slice of bread topped with some really delicious toppings! On sundays there is a big buffet with local goods watermelon, chopped vegetables and some delicious breads.

Two Hands - New York
Two Hands is a really nice aussie Coffee and Lunch place in Nolita. 'Good Food from good dudes' is what they promise on their website. The nice and super friendly stuff of australians know it best. It seems that they are having a lot of fun and spreading a good wavy atmosphere as if they’re just came home from a good surf session and are ready for the day to start. But don’t get me wrong, they are not hamockchilled and sandy, they are fresh and friendly instead of stressed out of new yorks cityrush. Simplicity and rafinesse mixed up in a hint of DIY and homemade delicacys. It seems to be the new coffee place where locals get there daily treat of almondmilk Drinks and avocado toasts. They offer simple breakfast such as granola and muesli bowls, toasts with creamcheese or avocado and some really good juices and smoothies. Its a big beautiful white brickwall Room with wide windows which open in summer so the citysound comes inside and it feels more on the go. Its beautifully rough-textured cause of the brick and the simple compressed wood furniture. Its likeable decorated with a magazinewall, plants and really nice photography. The menue is handwritten on a glazed tile wall behind the big counter and open kitchen area. Jars as juiceglasses, playcards as tablenumbers and a touch of interior details caught my heart. Its a really nice place to sit and enjoy a simple but really good atmosphere. There is no Wifi cause the guys want to keep it personal and without people hanging out with their laptops, thats likeable.

Navy - New York
Navy called my attention long before I could finally get in its delicious taste when I was enjoying all the beautiful food pictures and details on their website. I was very excited to actually go and try the already looking very delicious food. I went there for dinner and we were sat at a table at the window. In warmer months, they open out windows onto the street, offering an ideal setting to enjoy a cool drink and some fresh oysters or sea urchins from the raw bar. There is a beautiful atmosphere and Navy is a very special place to have dinner. Its full of nice interior goods such as original benches from a boat, a folding sink, antique japanese indigos which serve as curtains, french linen and military canvas - all careful selected.
Matt Abramcyk and Akiva Elstein have teamed to create the 51-seat bar and restaurant, a follow up to the duo’s Smith & Mills in TriBeCa. Chef Camille Becerra (Paloma) brings her stylish cooking to Navy, a cozy neighborhood joint on a tree-lined street in Soho.
The menue and the food was simply perfect. I havn't had such a delicious dinner since a really long time.

Dover Street Market - New York
Oriinally Dover Street Market is a UK based Concept. Its a concept store representing new and high fashion brands of all over Europe, the US and Asia. Its colaborations with several street wear brands make the collections very hip and cause the Asian super fans to line in front of the still closed door the day before. For me its still a bit of a phenomenon cause i'm not that kind of a fashion type but I have to admit Dover street market has it all! The Store opened in ... and seems to be still an insider tip cause the crowds are not yet in the neighbourhood. You'll only meet detached tourists on a specific chase of a catch and more of high fashion people who want to go shopping in a chilled atmosphere. I did stroll around the Commes ds Garçon PLAY section and landed in Dots and Stripes heaven but found my peace in the Rose Bakery. A lunchplace I first got to now in Paris. All fresh vegetarian food. Simple and homemade and very tasty. This is when vegetables taste like heaven and their pastries are the cherry on top of the cream. Absolute insider Tip. Interior and atmosphere top. Food absolutely exquisite.

Saturdays Surf - New York
After I started surfing I was reading a lot about it and its roots in California but soon discovered a really good documented surf culture of the east coast too. More and more Surfshops or projects related to the Scene started and took place atlocal beaches such as rockaway and montauk who can be reached by subway and by car. Saturdays was one of the first shops calling my attention because of their plain and typographic style. In August of 2009, Saturdays opened its flagship store in SoHo as New York's premier downtown surf shop. Determined to suit a lifestyle occupied with surfing, living and working in New York City, Saturdays began selling boards and wetsuits as well fine art and other lifestyle accessories.
Today Saturdays designs and produces its own menswear line that has become synonymous with high-quality craftsmanship and traditional style. Meanwhile they opened the brand's third location: the store at the corner of Waverly and Perry in New York’s West Village, other stores are located in Tokyo and Kobe.
Saturdays host Surfevents at New Yorks local beaches, support fine art and photography out of the scene and plus serve a really good coffee in their Ny stores. The upfront espresso bar at the West Village location features it's own blend of La Colombe coffee, brewed by some of the best baristas in the city. Benches indoor and out provide a place for customers to hang out, while others browse the selection of unique graphic tees, casual wear, swim trunks, surfboards, and lifestyle accessories.
Its nothing about the beachy boho vibe which comes in my mind when thinking of Surfing its something new, something different. Its Nyc elegance and the love for waves and simplicity in one brand.
Check their website for opening hours and location details and don't miss a chilled coffee on their window bench whenyoure around.

Opening Ceremony - New York
OC is one of NY coolest Conceptstores. For me its more of an Museum of Style than a Shop where I go shopping but this is a question of personal style. However I go there to see what real fashion new yorkers wear, what purse or shoe brand is all the rage and what new Interior concept they might have install after my last visit. Its Soho store is three storeyed and filled up with Nyc Brands to Kenzo, Alexander Wang, Poenza Schouler to Commes des Garçons. Its such an institution for style and fashion and always orth a visit. Since a couple of years they have expanded their own brand and you can see their infuence from and for Kenzo.

Wholefoods Salad Bar - New York
Preparing a Picknick seems to be a bit difficult sometimes when youre far from home. You don't have the equipment, Tupperware and cutlery to go, not the cooler and Not in New york and not when there is Wholefoods around the corner. This Grocery store has the salad bar of heaven and tops any Mensa food ever existed on the planet. There are so many salad variations and adons that the choice is almost impossible. Not yet the selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, drinks and iceteas. I love this supermarket its a hell of a bonanza. The CC is the limit.
So grab the brown box, fill it up with the salad of your choice and don't forget to choose from the cake and cookie bar - this needs an extra chapter. Carrotcake is so delicious. And move on to the next challenge. Which Picknick spot might be the best for today: the High Line, Bryant or Battery Park or just one of the million tables and chairs which droped into New Yorks Cityscape in the past few years.

Culture Coffee - New York
Culture Coffee working or strolling around in midtown can be really stressfull cause everyone is really busy there. Its manhattan pure for me. busy, fast every single street around times square is busy and stuffed with business people in a rush. There are reams of lunch restaurants and mostly franchise Starbucks to Dunkindonuts and in the middle of all these cheapy Shoe discount places I found 'Culture Coffee'. A Coffee place in fact busy and with a waiting line around the block but still a fresh brewed super delicious Coffee place where the espresso is 1A and the home baked Cookies fill the air with a Chocolate sense. Meetin in midtown? No problem! now that we know there is culture Coffee around the corner.

Freemans - New York
Freemans is one of these manhattan LES restaurants which transport you to another era once you're entered and took a seat. Its dimmed candle light atmosphere, padded animals, flower buckets and an interlaced parceling of rooms and tables makes this restaurant an enchanted place. We had the delicious artichocke Dip as entry followed by a delicate steak with mashed potatoes. Simple american, french infused kitchen and such a lovely atmosphere. Its like you never want to leave this place again...

Republic - New York
Republic is an asian food place at Union Square. Its always a good choice for a quick and delicious snack. I always have to flip a coin cause their menu and dishes make my mouth watering before I even tasted them. Its a bit pricey but you pay for 1A quick service and always a super delicious fresh lunch or dinner. But don't expect to sit there for a chilled nice lunchbreak - once you've finished your plate the check is under your nose. Not that this is something extraordinary in manhattan but here I found it more remarkable than in other places. But still its always a feast food is so good hee if you love asian food!
