there’s a brief pause in her vocal responses, in which she takes a second to appreciate what’s happening in front of her. while basking in it, instead of second guessing herself, she smiles. & at the same time her hand instinctively finds his, as if it knows it’s guiding her towards happiness.

she’d never been one to hesitate in going after what she wanted in the past. though that slowly changed over time as she experienced more personal mistakes & betrayals of trust. it’d become somewhat of a chore to remind herself that she was still worthy of getting what she wanted, while keeping in mind that some of what she sought after was considered selfish or greedy. even if she was fully aware of the fact, it just didn’t come natural to weigh good & bad like that. finding balance hadn’t been easy, but with him ----- she was seeing what it meant for it to be effortless.

taking a moments look at mike, quinn made a small exception. whether it be the tinge of excitement that she felt when breaking the rules, or the genuine apology she felt for him being in a situation where somebody didn’t want to be seen with him romantically, quinn found herself running out of reasons to be careful. so she gave in just a little by placing her hand over his under the table, the rest of her body remaining unphased as she sat with perfect posture. beaming with her signature prideful fabray smile, with just a hint of something more.
