2. Quiet a cough, ease sore throats — As shown by clinical studies, honey has equal effectiveness in calming coughs as over-the-counter cough medicines. Mix 1 tablespoon or so of raw honey with warm water to tame a sore or dry throat and soothe nagging coughs.
3. Banish parasites — Known as a backpacker’s remedy for parasitic disease, a blend of honey, purified water and apple cider vinegar will help destroy the intruders. Mix 1 tablespoon each of honey and unpasteurized apple cider vinegar with 2 cups warm water. Drink several times a day for two months.
4. Relieve the agony of a hangover — If you find that you have overindulged, try a teaspoon of honey dissolved in a glass of water to help speed up the metabolism of alcohol.
5.Beauty Moisturize — Did you know that honey could do wonders to your skin? honey naturally draws moisture to the skin, making it an ideal addition to any anti-aging regimen. They help protect your skin from harmful UV rays and facilitate the skin’s ability to rejuvenate. Honey also has the ability in keeping the skin well hydrated, fresh and supple. thus, making yo look younger than your age.
6. Shine — For beautiful hair, mix 1 teaspoon of honey with 1 quart of warm water — use as a final rinse on just shampooed hair. The result? Those frizzy, parched locks are a thing of the past, and unruly hair is given a glossy finish.
7. Conquer insomnia — If stress hormones are keeping you from getting decent shut-eye, take a teaspoon of lightly salted honey before bedtime. A small amount of honey in the evening ensures that glycogen stores are adequate in the liver which reduces the release of sleep disrupting hormones.

There are no “bad” foods, right? Well it is rather unfortunate that the local food we opt for as safer options may just kill us faster.

This fried snack called doughnuts or locally called “puff puff" are so unhealthy for your body that I cannot see any reason why people eat them.
Not only do they have zero nutritional value, but they also give your body an unhealthy dose of toxins, which should make the idea of eating them really hard to swallow.
Doughnuts  Doughnuts are fried, full of sugar and white flour, and most all varieties contain trans-fat . High trans-fat intake has been linked to coronary heart disease, in which fatty plaques build up in the heart arteries, sometimes leading to a heart attack.
It’s too bad that most people view doughnuts as a breakfast food as, nutritionally speaking, eating a doughnut is one of the worst ways to start off your day. It will throw off your blood sugar and doesn't provide any real nutrients, which means you’ll soon be hungry again. You are better off eating no breakfast at all.
Rather than have unhealthy food especially when that hunger is unbearable, eat snacks that come from the oven, not the fryer to quench that hunger crave while looking to buy or make a healthy meal.

Reasons You Should Eat Fruit For Lunch

Fruits are an excellent lunch food for everyone because they make healthy snacks and desserts.Eating fruit on a lunch time can decrease appetite for the actual meal. The fructose found in the fruit supplies a quick energy boost and the fibre creates a feeling of fullness.
Late Lunch If lunch is late, keep the peace with a quartered orange or a dish of fresh pineapple chunks. Both have lots of potassium and fibre. Oranges are high in vitamin C and folate. Dried fruit is another good hold-over that is nutritious. Fruit as fat prevention When you know that a lunch is not going to be the healthy meal you prefer to serve yourself a mini meal of fresh fruit, Mix chopped watermelon, carrots, paw paw and banana chunks into a quick fruit salad. That keeps ones blood sugar on a moderate level until the fat food or high calorie sauces are served. You will eat less unhealthy food, too.

Choose Fresh Fruits Packaged fruit juices, smoothies and fruit snacks often have additives like honey or fruit juice concentrate; both of them gain calories without adding nutritional value. By selecting fresh fruits you will add needed calories and nutritional value. Regulate Your Digestion If you start your lunch with unsweetened grapefruit or grapefruit juice, you will easily regulate your digestion. Dietary Fibre  Consume any high fibre fruits for lunch. Eat pears, apples and berries for a significant amount of dietary fibre and water content. This is especially good for those trying to lose some weight or keep fit. During lunch and throughout the day include all kinds of fruits unsweetened and mostly fresh. Nuts and seeds are healthful garnishes for fruit, consume them in moderation.
The beauty of it is no one needs to know you’d rather skip the saturated fat they slaved over.
