Ch ch changes.. Blogging, Travel & Life
Ch ch changes.. Blogging, Travel & Life
So up until this point I’ve been running, or attempting to run, 5 or 6 (or more) websites/blogs. This was a big mistake. Between 2 travel sites, a blog for my animals (they have more followers than I do!), health site, event blog, photography sites, and all the social media that should come along with each of them I’ve been failing at all of them.
Which brings me to 2019 and a few changes.

Rocco Forte The Charles - Munich, Germany - Oktoberfest!
Rocco Forte The Charles – Munich, Germany – Oktoberfest!
Once again I find myself heading through Munich during Oktoberfest. Happily I’ll get to check back in to The Charles Hotel, one in the Rocco Forte family (I’ve also stayed at the Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt – fantastic hotel).
First room at The Charles, junior suite.
I highly recommend setting up a special pickup from/to the Munich Airport to set the best tone for your time at the Charles.

First Trip to Paris, The Louvre (Part 3 of Paris)
First Trip to Paris, The Louvre (Part 3 of Paris)
There’s so much to see here, it must be shared on it’s own.
After our breakfast, we wandered on to…
The Louvre!!
We made it early enough there wasn’t a terrible line, just enough time to people watch and picture take.
(The “funny” thing is, this line is just a pre-line to go through security, and then go downstairs, to… get in line! I believe if you buy your tickets online you can skip to a…

Paris, for the first time - Part Deux
Paris, for the first time – Part Deux
Day 3 –
The day begins as all days should begin, with pastries and coffee. We walked to Maison Landemaine a wonderful bakery where every flakey, doughy item that should exist, does. (Although if you get here too late, it will be sold out, so just the memory of it exists..)
The pastry on the left is called Drops, it is very like a croissant, only in sheet style with ‘drops’ of chocolate chips.…

Paris, for the first time - Part Une
Paris, for the first time – Part Une
This is from my original travel site, long ago left behind – but it shows the change in my own perception for places, people and things.
**Before I go any further on France, I want to say that I traveled to Paris with a bit of a glum feeling (perhaps you picked up on this in the South of France post), though I did focus quite a bit on letting this go. Paris really is/was unlike any city I’ve been…

South of France, St. Remy/Marseilles - Day 2
South of France, St. Remy/Marseilles – Day 2
Day 2 –
The next morning we woke up and discovered quickly our space was once again shared with a wasp, about 3 times the size of the others and MAD (perhaps she was missing her children in the other room) – so we threw what few belongings we had with us (remember, we had no luggage!) into our carry on bags and dashed out.
We did leave with some good news, they had found our luggage, and it was…

South France & St. Remy de Provence - Day 1
South France & St. Remy de Provence – Day 1
My first trip outside of England, 2013 – Covered France & Italy.
South France was by far the most… adventure filled, interesting part of the 12 day journey and we were there a mere 26-28 hours total.
As the plane prepared to land, a huge storm had rolled in to the Marseilles region; the plane dropped and bucked, several people screamed – the rain poured down on us, and we weren’t even in the…

Four Seasons - San Francisco, Hotel & Spa
Four Seasons – San Francisco, Hotel & Spa
Though the location of the San Fran 4S is fantastic, getting TO the “main” entrance is anything but. And heaven forbid it be during a march, a protest, a holiday, or any day that ends in “Y” during rush hour. Also, don’t listen to Google Maps – it will tell you to take a right/left on streets you CAN’T legally do that on.
It’s about as easy to find while driving as getting a root canal without…
