I think the reason that Gourmand is my favorite Slugcat is that their campaign feels the closest to the vanilla game in terms of their impact and presence in the whole story going on in the background; Being that there is no real impact
They're not on some grand venture to send a message to an iterator who has locked himself out from the rest of the group like Spearmaster
They're not stuck to a goal of slaughter and revenge against Scavenger-kind for the deaths of their pups like Artificer
They're not sent on journey to help revitalize an iterator to their (near) former glory - with said process being given to them by another dying iterator- like Rivulet
And they're not a creature granted the god-like power to remove creatures from the cycle - including the already god-like iterators- like Saint
They're just The Gourmand. Looking for food for their colony just happened to lead them to Five Pebbles and the two had a very inconsequential and overall meaningless interaction. If anything is to be gained from this campaign, it's that it's a breath of fresh air in between huge narratives that fill the other campaigns of Downpour
Even in videos discussing the story of the game, Gourmand's campaign takes up very little time, just like the Slugcats of the vanilla game that we have with Survivor, Monk, and Hunter. Now don't get me wrong, I have no problems with the stories of the other Downpour Slugcats (Only how the fandom handles them), Saint is one of my favorites because I like stories with fucked, religious undertones and implications. But Gourmand's story is so small, insignificant, it's simple and that's why it's, in my eyes, the best.
Gourmand from raiworld in uour style would fix me I think
HEHEHEHEEEEEE a few of my friends like rainworld (i, unfortunately, am unable to play it myself) gordie is my favorite fella ive seen. very round and plump as all things should be. i think they would like the idea of a teen girl style sleepover you see in the movies. painting nails and discussing crushes and giggling etc
The entrance to the iterator chamber in Vastness of Silence's city, Elysium. Thread spent most of her childhood there, since Clay often took them to work with her.
With VOS being an older model, the architecture in its city was made to resemble that of pre-iterator structures.
