i was gonna ask if you think kris experiences species dysphoria being the only human in town, but i remembered the bit toriel says about how they wore a little red horned headband as a child to look like asriel.

sketches + closeups of my oc throuple.

first is ryoko helping sara discover her fashion style, since sara's only ever worn military grade space bodysuits in her fucking life (and one (1) dress)

then it's all three in each other's styles. sara absolutely would wear punk clothes because her entire personality is rebellion, and the style would speak to her. ryoko loves showing skin and layering. li doesn't have a style; he calls it "comfort-core" and the other two call it "depression core" lol.

neither sara nor li are comfortable in ryoko's outfits lol. ryoko is somewhat comfortable in sara's, and li is fairly comfortable in sara's. sara is comfortable in li's bigass hoodie, but ryoko hates feeling closeted by it.

i've been making genuine strides at actually trying to turn this story into a novel. this is from one of my favorite planned out scenes, after sara gets gored by a giant hog and li rescues her. as of rn it is the first and Only act of intimacy they actually share :)

also, i'm proud of my background. i did not have enough energy to continue actually shading the rest of them lol

i remember spending multiple hours detailed cell-shading the second one because i wasn't a fan of the Smooth Shading but the layers simply do not exist anymore, so.

these are all from an atla au i’ve been sort of working on with my boyfriend.  they were all incredibly satisfying to draw, and it really feels nice to have developed a reference-pose-to-final-picture system for art again.

rose lalonde is a water bender from the northern water tribe who taught herself combat bending after she left her hometown.  kanaya maryam is an earth bender who’s bending comes from formal schooling and no actual combat practice; she owns her own clothing boutique in ba sing se’s middle sector.  terezi pyrope is an airbender, descended from an air nomad who managed to escape the genocide at the start of the 100 year war; she is blind, and uses her airbending to feel her surroundings, and to detect acute smells (and bring certain scents closer for her synthesia).

@ leporidaefluff made a post requesting everyone share their ocs, so I dug through all of my art files to post every single OC I still have art for.  I have more! I used to be a part of a big Scifi Homestuck AU Roleplay group that I made a ton of OCs for, which is where all of the first OCs (through to Raelyn) come from.   Uh, as you can tell, it’s almost exclusively Homestuck, Starcraft, or Steven Universe inspired, though I would count most of my Scifi OCs as non-fandom (though I guess the trolls technically have to be–I just really love the species).  

Like, I have another OC i have no art available for named Jamie Goldwater, who I *did* work on an ic blog for, whos appearance is basically 2005 Avril Lavigne.

i have finished. the greater Homestuck Polycule, technically missing Nepeta (Nep/Jade/Terezi) and Egbert (Many, many options).

Hindsight, it's really fucking funny looking at how cramped they are on the right (when I was running out of room and refusing to resize the canvas) versus Karkat literally barely included , like he's obviously only there because Dave is still there. Even Dave and Jade could have been closer together lol

link to the first wip post where I went into great detail explaining my thoughts for everyone; I did go back and make Vriska fatter, and I gave Terezi a dragonscale hoodie instead of putting her in a huge body-hiding coat for no reason.
