I commend those pips behind the new ad Play Pinoy of NIKEPH. Galing! It features the two favorites of Pinoy, ang pagkanta ng My Way sa videoke (pati nga buhay ibinubuwis makanta lang).  Ang pangalawa at parte na ng buhay ng pinoy (aside from sabong, baboy, tricycle, jeep, mainit na panahon, kahirapan).. ang magbasketball. The video shows how we really sing the former (kewl cover as soundtrack) and how we really play the latter. For both…pati puso kasama.

This ninety second video shows that even tapak, naka-tsinelas, naka-Kobe, mayaman o mahirap, tiga bayan, nasa baryo, nasa pier, nasa magarang gym o niyogan, nag-aaral man, tambay, tiga village man o tiga tenement, badass (astig),mga magiGILAS,  bata, nagbibinata, binata at matanda, hubad-baro o naka-jersey, nakakatakbo at hindi, nasa kalye, tricycle driver, barbero, pati national issue (see 0:41 - genius), si Keifer, si Alvin (pero bakit wala si Samboy at Jawo?), lahat pantay-pantay sa basketball,  lahat naglalaro ng basketball, lahat magagaling maglaro ng basketball.

But the best part of the video is at 1:19 . Just like basketball. We never stop. The scene portrays that we can still fly in every storm, after every hurt, failure, fall…hindi habang panahon tapak.

Kaya nating bumangon, lumaban at  lumipad katulad ni Jordan, katulad ng isang agila. Para kanta lang ni Supper Inggo – lilipad ako para lang sa ‘yo… Dahil kaya nating lumipad para sa pamilya, para sa bayan. And we’ll gonna do it – in our own way.

Sun, Sand, Arts at Puerto Galera

Our first family trip to Puerto Galera was great. It was also the first time for my kids to ride in a big boat and they were excited.

Prior to our trip, my wife and I went to Batangas Port and farm out an affordable place to stay in White Beach. I personally chose White Beach because I wanted my children to experience its white sand, the food and its night life.

We went Friday and the beach was not yet crowded. White beach is perfect place to talk and bond with your family. You can enjoy the sun, have "tawanan" with your wife and eat scramble.

After enjoying the sun and sand, you can marvel one of these beautiful hues of Galera sunset.

My two sons got henna from these cool tattoo artists.

The food was great. We had a typical Batangas lunch near the VM resort, pancit canton, grilled tilapia, pork bbq and hot steamed rice. By the way, VM Resort has a friendly and helpful staff and the restaurant has a free good signal wifi.

We had a very hot sisig for dinner while watching fire dance. And because, sisig spoiled our dinner we even ordered had pizza at midnight.

The following day we had breakfast at Pirata. Tried their Captain's burger and I was happy. And they have free wifi too.

And since, all of the eating places that we tried has free wifi and friendly staff, here's my comment.

By the way, Ron-Ron and Tigger were with us also. And they also enjoyed our trip.
