Chapter 1: The life of Lexie grey continues

This takes place in episode twenty-four season 8 the episode of the plane crash but Lexie is alive instead of dead

Everyone on the plane we're shocked and also afraid the plane just crashed as they saw their life flash before their eyes.

The passengers included Meredith Grey, Lexie Grey, Cristina Yang, Mark Sloan, Derek Shepherd and Arizona Robbins All of which were doctors at Seattle Grace hospital.

Meredith opens her eyes slowly still in shock from what happened as she takes in her surroundings of where she is and what just happened she is laying there confused and worried.

”Oh my god Derek are you okay”?

Asked Meredith as Derek groans in pain

“I’ll be fine, it's not too bad”.

Derek tried to reassure her even though he was in a lot of pain and will definitely need some medical help.

“Wait Lexie, where is Lexie”?!

Meredith looks around frantically wondering where her little sister is and if she is okay She spots Lexi and runs over to her scared and panicking.

“Lexi Lexi no come on stay with me”.

Meredith said with her voice still panicked and shocked she grabs a jacket she brought with her and uses it to stop Lexie's Bleeding.

Meredith screams “Help I need help over here”!

Some of the others rush to see what was going on and see Lexie unconscious.

“She’s got some serious bleeding and I can't find a pulse”. said Meredith, still scared .

She starts doing everything she can to help Lexie survive and make sure she is safe.

“Come on Lexie please don't leave me”.

Meredith said very quietly and emotional

Cristina finds Meredith standing over and

unconscious Lexie and she puts her hand on

Meredith's shoulder gently trying to comfort her.

“Mer I'm sorry but I don't think-” Meredith cuts Cristina off mid sentence

“No she has to make it Lexie is all I have left”!

She exclaims hoping for any sign that her sister is okay. Just then Lexie slowly opens her eyes and coughs up blood.

“oh my god Lexie”! Meredith said relieved but still worried then Cristina speaks up

“Meredith, I think she has internal bleeding”.

Says Cristina looking worried and concerned.

“I know, help me get Medical supplies from the plane”.

Cristina looks at her clearly still concerned for Lexie and Meredith as well.

“How about I go get the supplies and you can watch Lexie”. Said Cristina

“Okay yeah just hurry back please”.

Meredith said and continued looking at Lexie.

“It’s okay Lexie you'll be okay I promise”.

She said helping Lexie sit up slowly trying to make sure she is as good as she can be for now as they wait for Cristina to bring the medical supplies and medicine.

Cristina hurries back with a lot of supplies and medical bags she runs over to where Lexie and Meredith are.

“Okay I've got the supplies I think we should start with getting some fluids in her”. Says Cristina.

“Cristina we don't have time we need to do open surgery now we need to put her under”.

She says grabbing a scalpel and putting her hair back then gets some masks.

“Okay I'll get some anesthesia for her Lexie just stay calm and focus on me”.

She then lays Lexie on her back slowly and gently.

Meredith slides the anesthesia mask onto Lexie's face as Lexie slowly goes unconscious due to the anesthesia.

“Are you sure you want to do this Mer”?

“We have to, we don't have time for anything else”.

Said Meredith.

Meredith takes a deep breath and sighs then puts on surgical gloves preparing to do the surgery on Lexie which she still can't believe that this is even happening.

Then Meredith begins to do the operation as Cristina also puts on gloves and puts her hair back.

As they start performing the surgery on Lexie they realize she is in a very critical state with major injuries.

“Scalpel”.

Meredith demands for Cristina to hand her the scalpel Cristina hands the scalpel to Meredith.

“Scalpel”. Cristina repeats back to her.

Meredith starts the incision on Lexie focusing and keeping her hand steady as she cuts into the flesh.

“Now we can run an IV on her for fluids to stop the bleeding and for her blood loss”. Says Meredith

“So we do a gravity dip”? Says Cristina

“Yes”.

She confirms Cristina’s question then grabs an IV bag and holds it above her as the fluids flow through the tube as they put the needle into Lexie's arm.

After hours of hard work and determination the surgery is going well now they are just checking her blood pressure and watching her head scans.

“I really hope this works. I can't lose her, she's all I've got”. Says Meredith as Cristina looks at her with empathy and concern.

“You won't lose her Mer and we are two badass surgeons so Lexie will be fine”.

Says Cristina which made Meredith laugh a bit she was happy Cristina can lighten the mood with her humor during times like this.

“Thanks”. Her response is short and limited on words as her mind is filled with thoughts about her little sister.

Hours later Lexie begins consciousness again then Meredith and Cristina gasp in surprise.

“Lexie are you okay”?! Asked Meredith still concerned clearly

Lexie stays quiet then nods slowly

“I'm So happy you are okay. We did perform surgery on you so you have stitches but they should be out in a few months”. She said,

“Okay thank you so much for saving me”. Said Lexie

“Of course Lexie you're my little sister I love you. Do you want water or something”?

Said Meredith

“Um Yeah, is Mark okay”? Lexie asked Meredith

“Well he's in a coma but he's alive and stable”.

“Still running after Mcsteamy huh”? Cristina asked as Meredith laughed and smiled.

“I really love him a lot”. Lexie stated

as Meredith and Cristina smiled happily.

“You should probably get some rest Lexie, it's been an eventful day”. Said Meredith.
