#bg3#thoughts about media#I'm sure if karlach is there- gort might address her first instead?#I looked at the screenshots from my other playthroughs to see if I had this scene archived.#of course I literally have everything BUT this part.#I mean it makes a ton of sense why gort addresses wyll.#beyond the fact that wyll's father is there- baldur's gate KNOWS who wyll is. the patriars know who wyll is. they know he was exiled.#gort's trying to make wyll feel small and out of place. referring to him as the blade but undermining his heroic image by mentioning-#-his newly acquired fiendish features. also a bit of a brag I think. since gort himself escaped the hells & a devil physically unchanged.#that and I think gortash is like...a perfect mirror opposite to wyll. so to have them at odds over the fate of baldur's gate makes sense.#fits the whole fairy tale theme of wyll's story too. I mean how many stories are there of cheats like gortash being ousted from their-#-unrightful place on the throne by the true heir? the valiant and just prince come to save his people from the cruel lying tyrant?#*sigh* yet another thing that I wish they developed more in wyll's quest.#because this would all feel like a rather complex and complete story if wyll himself is your avatar.#but when he is a companion- I just don't think the quest features enough to make up for him not being the avatar.#I wish there was more of this- more wyll being the focus- more baldurians recognising who he is! it's HIS city after all!#I AM going to enjoy beating the shit out of gortash again though.#he and mizora are on my “top ten video game characters of all time I'd like to see SKINNED ALIVE” list.

#bg3#thoughts about media#I have to wonder if they considered draconic sorcerer wyll at all...#I don't believe there are really any stipulations for how a draconic sorcerer obtains their power from the dragon.#maybe they DID consider it- but decided against it because they didn't think/didn't have time to make it so that wyll would-#-automatically be the one chosen to speak to ansur were he in the party. that would have been a cool potential path for him honestly!#like if he was in your party- he would get auto-selected to speak to ansur and if you chose certain dialogue options-#-he could gain the powers of a sorcerer! it would work well to build upon the twist in his fairy tale-like story!#is it because of the bad reputation sorcerers have? or because mizora is technically classified as one?#or maybe it's because they didn't want to have wyll and the durge to BOTH be sorcerers. since they're both origins...?#idk. I'm kind of the opinion that durge is somewhat...overrated. I'd rather wyll get the fancy magical dragon powers.#I feel like they should have just...not added durge as a character and focused on REALLY polishing the 6 main origin companions.#because even with a character like star. who has a lot of material-- the writing feels...directionless? at certain points?#in a better world. we would have 6 main characters with more cohesive stories of relatively equal length and complexity.#in a better world. wyll would be treated as THE main of the main characters that he is. he and lae'zel.#they are like the CORE of the story imo.

the game still runs like pure trash though, and many, many other players I've spoken to are saying they are struggling with the same thing T___T
#dbd#thoughts about media#this is my first hux in months!!#poor lad was just someone trying to do his adept...I'm so sorry stranger...my vicious love is not like any other killer...#he could not manage even one kill. the three ladies with me were clearly a swf and were giving him a run for his beautiful long legs...#I even tried to die for him- but he downed me and brought me to the opened gate. such a kind soul!#but since the lag was so that I could not tell where I actually was on the screen at any given moment- I accidentally left... T___T#my game was freaking out badly...it was a wonder I didn't DC. or the game did not full-on crash.#like someone unhooked claudette in front of me. and from that point on. claudette only remained in that spot on my screen.#she was still running around and doing stuff! but on my screen she was fixed in place!#fortunately the archives challenges are incredibly easy so I did get two survivor challenges done :)#and I SAW A HUX! I heard his sweet voice! that alone has filled my heart with such joy <3

#bg3#thoughts about media#wyll will take any opportunity to recite romantic poetry and despite knowing this- I am never prepared.#and then he has the audacity to act all flustered and cute when the charm gets turned on him. unbelievable!#finally at baldur's gate proper so everyone got new outfits (which minthy gains inspo from lmao!) and wyll now gets his princely garb back.#the moon behind him really enhances his beauty...#...its silver light shining on one side of his face...the gold of the fire light on the other...so enchanting and regal...#I really love this campsite. it's probably my favourite one in the whole game.#if everyone wasn't forced to sleep on TABLES- I would happily stay at this camp. there's even a piano!#or the one before it- the one you get in rivington. that one is also very nice.#don't get me wrong... I like the elfsong tavern camp. it's cute. but it's so crowded! I prefer the big open camps with greenery in them.

wow whatever they did to dbd sure broke something. I'm getting terrible stutters that aren't even related to internet connection... I can't exactly track survivors when my whole camera shakes like that...
#dbd#thoughts about media#they claim that updating the engine should have no impacts on gameplay but I'm not so certain that's true.#I was able to briefly watch otz earlier and I saw he too was having issues with the camera stuttering.#so I know it is not just me.#the survivors I played against saw it too! they saw me getting randomly stuck.#apparently if you play as killer on RPD- you can get fully stuck. completely unable to move! awful.#man. :( I really wanted to grind out some of the rift!#I guess I'll try tomorrow then. maybe it will be a bit better with less traffic on the server.

I love this skin. the knight is one of the characters I drew some inspiration from for illamin's character, and her armour features a moth motif because that is one of the symbols of eilistraee. so seeing this makes me very happy!

#bg3#myart#wip#I want to make every tav/companion pairing I have a dedicated. fancy piece.#these started with a concept for a wyll drawing that was very...storybook! inspired.#I would have been done all the linework for these two pieces by now had my weekend gone better :/#I was violently unwell for...about a week and a half? chronic illness bullshit. had started to feel better friday of last week...#...unfortunately fate had it that the weekend ended up being particularly stressful. so the pain returned anew.#it was. somewhat better today. but still not enough for me to really be productive in my free time :(#I will try to complete the linework tomorrow if all goes well. I really would like to start colouring them!#I have delightful colour schemes chosen...#gale/illamin piece has already been sketched in a notebook. once I finish these two- I will begin lining theirs!#illamin's connects to cadence's because they're intertwined like that. but I have yet to finish planning out cadence's piece.#I've gone back and forth on who I should romance with him...the thing with any of the companions is that they are all written to be-#-immensely compatible with each other. so writing a tav FOR a specific companion is a bit hard. often the tav could fit with any of them.#hell. I'm STILL working out details of jantar and corydalis' story & characters. because I can't be normal about this.#that aside- I DO have other. finished pieces...finally.#well. I had some long before... but I didn't want to post them because I wasn't happy with them.#so I went and finished new stuff that I DO like.#4. technically 5 drawings. all horror/horror adjacent in theme.#my extremely detailed hux painting is also NEARLY done. after months upon months of work.#and I continue to slowly chip away at the big scifi themed dbd piece I've had in progress.#I really never run out of things to draw and it's a bit torturous because I never have the time or energy to draw everything...

legion dailies are the greatest offence to me. I do not care what slurs a survivor may try to sneakily sound out at me in end chat. this game hurts me like nothing else when it suggests that I play legion of all killers. I'd genuinely rather play skull merchant.
