SPECIAL YCH: JUNE EDITION

This is a little YCH im doing for two reasons: 1- to start coming back into constantly posting (and coming back with monthly YCHs) and 2- Paypal had a problem with my DNI and now is keeping hostage the saving i was planning to use for my birthday, so i want to recover a little from it till i get to resolve say conflict.

Due this, for those clients that have my paypal saved, please communicate with me first so i can give you the paypal that it work, or either use my kofi for payments (i have the paypal that work connected there).

Im going to work quickly on them to prevent the electricity or any other irl issue to mess with them, but in any case the posibility of have around 1 week of waiting max exist so please keep this in mind, sorry for the inconveniences.

The Ambrosia Critters are coming

A While ago (last year) i explained that one of the brands that Play.Co make with the nightmares was something like ''candy critters''

Well, i had worked that better

introducing the Ambrosia critters

Im going to explain more about them in the next posts, and the reason im interrumpting the nightmares posts with this is cus im actually really excited about this concept and i cant wait lol

SO, THE FIRST INFORMATION ABOUT THEM: THE CANDY CURSE

If a critter eat the candies from the Ambrosia Island, they are going to end up becoming said candy, a candy critter dont have need nor organs, they are just walking sugar full of ''sweet and lovely attitude'', aka, a sugar Zombie.

There is a cure? Of course! Just eat something healthy, the critter is going to go back to their normal body once the sugar is out of their system.

Smiling Critters Oc ✨

I just couldnt pass up the name opportunity, silly billy is the perfect phrase to turn into a critter, though meet Billy! The jokester of the crew, if I had to work out lore on the spot they'd have been a prototype for a second line of critters that were in the works a year or two before the hour of joy went down. Their scent while untraditional is smell that many of my friends have said they would buy xD plus it fits for a goat

So Yarnaby right?

I saw a lot of people asking about WHY Yarnaby's face needed to open up, and how it was practical as a toy, and I thought up a pretty simple answer for it;

To hold yarn!

(drew em like a puffball cause my ass aint doodling every strand of yarn lmao)

Lots of people who knit and crochet usually have bowls with a notch in them to help the yarn come off the ball smoother, I can imagine Yarnaby was used for something similar, just with a full circle design since kids like to pull on yarn fast, so they'd need the top to stop the ball of yarn from bouncing out!

I thought of the idea because I had seen similar designs before for ceramic yarn bowls, that were things like cat and dog faces with open mouths' for the yarn to go through, figured Yarnaby was probably made for a similar purpose✨

Bros built to have a silly little flimsy yarn tongue and no one can convince me otherwise, not a single thought behind those eyes cause his brain is a ball of yarn /pos

Hi there! This isn't a character ask blog, apologies. If you want a response directly from a character you can always check out @forests-fabled-stage or @silly-critters-01 !

Though to answer your question, Yu-Gi-Oh was produced after Playtime.Co shut down due to the hour of joy (Yu-Gi-Oh being 1999, meanwhile the hour of joy was 1995) and unfortunately it's not much better for Duel Monsters, having been produced in the 2000s and so much too late for any of the critters to possibly know about them (pokemon/pocket monsters as well, it was made in 1996)

I absolutely love the question though as a former Yu-Gi-Oh player and a current collector!
