Camping • Benjamin Pavard

“Are you sure we’ve got everything?” You questioned Benjamin for the thousandth time. You were near enough at the campsite so it would be too late to turn around, actually, it’s never too late to turn around but it would be really inconvenient to turn around now. You’d rather just keep on going and trust yourself that you packed everything.

“Yes. I checked then I double-checked. I even tripled checked. Even quadruple checked. I don’t know what comes after that but I did that too,” Benjamin said to you. You just nodded your head but it didn’t do anything to ease your worry though because you couldn’t help but think that you were missing something important. You had no idea what but you felt like something would be missing but you get that feeling every time that you go away and usually, you never miss anything. Anything majorly important anyway so it should be fine.

“Here we are,” He said, pulling up to the campsite. Looking around you saw that there weren’t many tents around which was actually surprising considering you thought that there would be quite a few tents with people around. Not that you were complaining but you did think that it was a little strange not a lot of people were around right now. It was currently the holidays and you thought that a lot of families would be going camping together. Is it not a popular thing anymore? Or maybe this isn’t a popular destination that people like to go to. You have no idea. Ben was the one that organised this whole trip so you wouldn’t be surprised if he picked a place he knew that was quiet and not a lot of people go to. It was a really nice place though so you couldn’t tell why it wouldn’t be a popular place but it must be.

Getting out of the car felt nice because you could finally stretch your legs and walk around. It wasn’t necessarily a long drive but still, it felt nice to stretch your legs a little bit since cars are really uncomfortable to sit in no matter the length of the journey. You can’t deny it though standing up after sitting down in the car for a while always feels nice.

“Shall we set up?” You questioned Ben wanting to get all of this set up now rather than later. You know later you won’t want to put any of it up although you’ll have to so it’ll be better to just get it done and out of the way. Ben was the one that put everything in the car therefore he should be the one to know where everything is because he should’ve organised it to make sure that it all fits considering that there was a lot of stuff which was needed.

“Uh, yeah,” He replied, opening up the boot of the car which was filled with everything that was needed for camping plus a bunch of random things that would keep you entertained for the time that you are away. Benjamin definitely just threw everything in there when he put it all in the stuff not wanting to organise it or make it all fit properly at all. Maybe you should’ve done all that whilst he sorted out the stuff that you had to do before you left. At least if you put it all in the car it wouldn’t have fallen out as soon as you opened the boot. He went through all of the stuff, a few things falling out of the boot as he rummaged through it all trying to find the tent. The one thing that is the most important when camping he can’t find. Oh god, you haven’t left the tent at home have you?

“Here it is,” He said, pulling the tent out of the car with a bunch of other things that you started to put back whilst he emptied out the tent stuff onto the floor. In his words ‘he needed to see what they had included and where the instructions were because he can’t see it inside the bag’. There were a lot of things that came with the tent. A lot of poles. Why so many? With everything on the floor, it looks so much more difficult than it does in the picture. Ben saw the instructions lying on the grass so he picked them up and started to flick through them trying to find the French section of it so he could read through it to help put up the tent. Why couldn’t you just buy a pop up one? They’re easy to put up.

“Right, how do we put up a tent?” Benjamin asked you as he was flipping through the instructions that came with the tent. He kept flipping back and forth through it with a really confused look on his face. Was none of the instructions in any language he understood or something?

“You’re the one with the instructions,” You stated pointing to the paper that was currently in his hands.

“I can’t read them,” Ben stated, passing it to you to read through.

“It’s in pictures so you don’t read it, you copy what they are doing in the pictures,” You stated. All he did was shrug his shoulders like he didn’t understand the pictures either and to be fair the pictures were confusing because there were so many lines also it didn’t tell you what order the pictures go in so you also have to work that out. Also, you’re pretty sure that in the instructions it’s meant to tell you what each pole is which helps it all go together but with these instructions they don’t even do that. You and Benjamin can work out how to put the tent up together. Hopefully anyway you don’t want to buy another tent and have to figure that out.

It took a while and a whole lot of teamwork but eventually, the tent was up and standing with no help or extra support from you or Ben. You didn’t know how stable the tent is though and how long it will last especially if a lot of wind or rain comes but it is standing and the pegs in the floor look well in so the tent shouldn’t fly away. Does the waterproof covering work? Well, that is a completely different story. The app on your phone said that it was meant to be really sunny over the next few days anyway so hopefully that was telling the truth and the tent will be fine. Only time will tell.

The rest of the day passed with you and Ben sorting everything out and actually organising the boot in some way so you could grab the things that you would need more frequently easily instead of having to search through everything every single time you want something. Once you sorted out all of the stuff you and Ben decided to go around the area and check it all out. You wanted to look for the good spots and tracks for hiking so you knew where to go as well as checking out the town nearby which had some pubs, restaurants and shops for other things to do and places to go whilst you’re here. Before you knew it the sun was setting and it was getting later and later. Both you and Ben wanted a full day to do activities and start it early so you decided that it would be best to go to bed early so you can have that early morning tomorrow.

“It’s cold,” Benjamin whined a few hours later as he kept moving around trying to find some sort of warmth. You weren’t going to get any sleep if Ben keeps this up. You need to find a way to warm him up and get him to stop moving. Sighing you opened your sleeping bag and moved to open his own as well before trying to connect them together. Even though it was dark you could tell that Ben’s eyes were on you and were curious to see what you were doing.

“Come here,” You stated opening up your arms so Ben could come closer and cuddle into you to hopefully warm himself up a little bit so he stops complaining and actually goes to sleep. Somehow you managed to connect both of your sleeping bags together so you and Ben can actually cuddle and still have enough room. The two of you being in the same sleeping bag probably would’ve felt quite claustrophobic since you barely get enough room in them for one person let alone two. As soon as Ben got close enough to you he wrapped his arms around you and you could feel how cold he actually was. So he wasn’t lying to just get closer to you he was actually cold. Hopefully, you can warm him up a little bit.

He placed his arm around your waist pulling you in as close as he possibly could leaving no space between the both of you. So close that you were near enough lying on top of him. At least he won’t be cold anymore. His hand was placed on your hip tracing random shapes before grabbing your hip tightly so you can’t move anywhere else. Holding it tight enough to bruise not that you cared though. Through the dark, you could see how his eyes were still firmly on you. You’re sure that you saw some sort of hunger and desire in them too but because of how dark it was you couldn’t be exactly sure. Slowly he leaned in and pressed his lips and instantly you kissed him back. Quickly the kiss turned hungry and possessive, his tongue near enough forcing itself into your mouth. Not that you minded. Your hands moved up his back to his neck before getting tangled in his curly hair. You gripped it tightly causing a groan to leave his lips and you continued to kiss for a while longer before he decided to pull away, biting your lip and pulling on that slightly as he did so. This caused a slight moan to leave your lips before slowly blinking your eyes open. His lips were red, a little bit swollen and covered in spit/saliva as well but you didn’t get to look at them for long before he leaned in again but not going for your lips this time. You probably looked just as wrecked as he was probably even worse.

“Ben,” You moaned as he attacked your neck with his lips and teeth. You were trying to be as quiet as possible because although it was a quiet location with not a lot of people around, tents are not soundproof at all so if you’re loud someone is bound to hear you. You’d rather not have a complete stranger hear your intimate moments so you had to find a way to keep yourself quiet or just not make any loud noises and if placing a hand over or even in your mouth to do then you’ll do that. He kept kissing your neck making sure not to make any marks just because he knows that you won’t be able to hide them and he knows how you don’t like people seeing them. It would never stop him kissing around your neck though. Ben knew the exact spot that your sweet spot was located and he knew the exact reaction you would have to it as well so he made sure to keep going back to that spot and attack it. Since he was doing that you couldn’t help the little gasps and small moans that were leaving your mouth although you tried to make sure that they were as quiet as possible.

“That’s enough for now,” Ben said, pulling his head away from your sensitive neck and moving you off of him so now you were laying next to him.

“Benjamin Jacques Marcel Pavard,” You whined as he pulled away from you. Winding you up to the point where you just want to jump him but then decides he doesn’t want to go any further. Ben doesn’t want to continue which you respect doesn’t mean that you’re not frustrated over it. You could feel the wetness in between your thighs showing how much Ben is affecting you. You wanted to continue and have sex with Ben but he clearly didn’t and to be fair to Ben it was probably the right decision not to take this any further. Not that it makes this any better.

“Yes,” He replied innocently.

“Prick,” Was all you stated before turning around so you were no longer facing him. You heard him let out a breathy chuckle before he placed his arm over your waist pulling you into a hug. You placed your hand on his arm before properly relaxing in his arms. He kissed the back of your head before you felt him relax against you obviously now going to sleep since he was now warm and comfortable. He could finally go to sleep and you allowed yourself to go to sleep as well. You have the rest of the camping trip to get Ben back for that little stunt so you can allow yourself to go to sleep and not think about it.

How Thomas describes Manuel in all those years

.Since the last September, Thomas suddenly expressed his feeling of Manuel immensely, such as “my goalkeeper” and “special in my heart”, making plenty of German media hesitate to ask their opinions toward each other, even though the media really love to look for new topics among them.

Thus, I’d love to summarize how Thomas changes his description of Manuel.

1. From the beginning

I remember that probably around 2012, I read an article that mentioned how Thomas described his first impression of Manuel, “He is good at goalkeeping, and he dyed his hair into gold…”

So, his first impression is really normal.

2. Before 2017/18 season

Seldomly chose some posts from Thomas’s Facebook

“My teammate Manuel Neuer”

“Our world-class goalkeeper Manuel Neuer”

“The match against Juve was intensive, all the players played hard (probably except for Manu) and brought excellent performance.” He could even make some jokes about Manu.

“In the 1st half, Manuel Neuer had an excellent saving”

All in all, you can see that Thomas never stops praising Manuel, and they have a good relationship. Thomas does not make jokes about everyone, according to the report.

3. 2017/18 season

Yes, we all know that Manu was absent during this season. I guess that Thomas suddenly realized that what Manuel means to him in this time period.

Firstly, let us read the post that Thomas wrote for Manu’s birthday.

“This is the best gift for Manuel, and everyone in the team is happy for you!

Dear Manuel Neuer, I wish you a happy birthday and good luck in the way of return, GOOOODDDDD HEALTH!! Get well soon and good luck in the way of return!

A beautiful day!”

It is a lovely letter! You can see how Thomas excited about Manu’s progress! No wonder that Thomas “liked” many posts of Manu’s first GK training after the injury.

Then, when UEFA let him use one word to describe his teammates, Thomas used words that are related to the player’s positions to describe his teammates, except for Manu. Thomas said Manu was a “cat”. From this moment, the description that Thomas used has turned to personal.

4. From 2018/19 to now.

Many Neuller fans noticed that on the 2018/19 season, Thomas and Manuel especially loved to stick together if they had a chance. I speculated that all because of Manuel’s injury, making these two realize how important the other means to themselves.

The most interesting part is that Thomas had a little pony on Manuel’s birthday, and he named the pony “Manuel”. The full name of the pony is Manuel Mueller, which sounds like a relationship name. It looks like the little Manuel is the son of Thomas and Manuel.

Besides, when the reporter asked Thomas whether he would name his horses with his teammates’ names, he refused immediately. This means, in Thomas’s mind, Manuel is no longer a “teammate”.

In the 2019/20 season, when asked about the topic of the No.1 GK issue in the German National Team, Thomas said, “But Manu is always my goalkeeper so that of course I always stand by him.”

MY GOALKEEPER!

Within a month after that statement, in an English interview, when the reporter asked him to list the top 3 players he cooperated with, Thomas said,

“Manuel is the best goalkeeper in my mind. He is really important for my career…in both teams…I want to give him special titles in my heart…”

But after several seconds, Thomas was still thinking and could not give the reporter the exact answer, so that the reported changed into the next topic.

Well, from Thomas’s social media, we saw Thomas post plenty of posts that praise Manu, from a tiny jump to a world-class saving. Thoams even “liked” Manu’s photos album, which even Manuel himself did not notice.

AND…Thomas even said that “We trained hard today so that hopefully Manuel Neuer will have a clean sheet in the match against Hoffenheim.”

Flick:🙃fine.

Probably because Thomas is too clingy to Manuel, even the reporters began making fun of Thomas

Reporter( before the end of the conference, suddenly asked): Neuers Prozess?(Neuer’s progress?)

Thomas: …Only Manu can answer that question.

Reporter: No no no, he asked you, “Neu-jahrs-Prozess”. (The pronunciation of Neuer is close to Neujahr)

Thomas: OH! (laughed foolishly and pointed to the reporter, you made fun of me!)

And Thomas left in the laughter of reporter.
