Photographer and filmmaker Yousef Eldin talks about his video for Fionn Regan’s mesmeric ballad “The Meetings of the Water”, starring Cillian Murphy:

“Fionn and Cillian were hands-on in collaborating throughout the whole project. We wrote a few different scripts and this one seemed to intrigue us the most. I like that nothing ultimately dramatic happens to this guy, but internally so much is going on. The theme of the song is about healing after trauma, and we really wanted the viewer to sense the character’s anxiety, as he tries to find a way to a healing path. It says a lot about Cillian’s performance that he can command the screen for five minutes without introducing any overly dramatic arcs. It was quite a special project to work on.”
