Queenie's words reminded Alexandra that she was a Legilimens, something Alexandra figured out due to being one herself; and a very good one at that.

“I think it might have French ancestry, but I'm not too sure… never really looked into it. Although it would be interesting if I did have family here."

“Oh, lots of fun! Don't worry, I didn't kill anyone. Visited the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre…" Her family's Mausoleum, but Alexandra wouldn't dare say that. She figured it might be better to joke around with Queenie as to keep the conversation light.

“Paris is quickly becoming my favourite city. I might even consider moving here, eventually."

Alexandra smiled back, a rare genuine smile that only Leta or Grindelwald might see. She didn’t want to admit it, but she held a soft spot for Queenie, even if they were on opposite sides and barely ever spoke.

Still, she was able to see through her lie, thanks to Legillimency. And yet, she went along with her last few words.

“Yes, I agree, quite a unique city. New York has its special charm, but Paris is definitely something else.“ With a sneaky side glance at Queenie, she pressed on. “Is your sister with you, then? Surely you wouldn’t come visit a city like this without her.”

Alexandra nodded in a way to show she was listening. So Tina was in Paris, which meant Newt might be, too. Noticing her arm was still wrapped around Queenie, she dropped it to her side. Alexandra was quick to think of a lie to answer the blonde's question. However, her lie was also somewhat the truth in a way; she didn't see the point in lying to Queenie, her loyalty was well known in New York after Newt's visit. But she had to make sure she didn't tell her the exact reason she was in Paris, either.

“I've been doing a bit of travelling. Never really got to do so during my earlier years. America was the first stop, now it's Europe."

The young lady wrapped her arms around the blonde, as though they were best mates. Of course, this was all a bit of a joke to Alexandra.

“Oh, come now, Queenie. You should know I couldn't care less about anyone's blood status."

It was one of the rare truths she spoke. Yes, she worked for Gellert Grindelwald, who believed Purebloods were SUPERIOR to all others, but she had her own views on the subject and it was the opposite of her leader's.

“Now, what are you doing here… in Paris?"
