Victor leans back in his chair, pinching the bridge of his nose. Across the room, Mila looks at him apologetically. “We’ve all been in the same boat,” she says. “It’ll pass, no worries.” 

Victor snorts. “Doubt it,” he says. He sneaks a peek into the editor-in-chief’s private office. The glass door allows him to take in the sight of Yuuri, serious and professional—god, that suit—and hard at work where he’s scribbling away on a notebook in between periodic glances to his computer screen. 

A crush on Yuuri Katsuki doesn’t just pass, Victor thinks to himself. He rests his cheek in one hand and sighs. Yuuri catches his eye, then. Glances up at and blinks at him. He furrows a thick, perfect eyebrow. Victor doesn’t startle, just brightens up and smiles at him, gives a small wave. 

Yuuri shakes his head and seconds later, Victor’s phone buzzes.
