oh my  god  where to start.  hinata and rose are two characters that can get SO maligned         it would be too easy to write them off,  or rely on popular trope.  instead,  crystal pours herself into every single interaction.  she writes with such breathtaking love and skill,  and creates such rich,  powerful prose.  and if that wasn’t enough,  crystal is,  herself,  so incredibly kind and lovely.  she has been so incredibly welcoming,  wonderful,  funny,  and warm.  she is so like the characters she portrays:  full of love and ready to offer a hand to anyone who needs it.  i am so glad to have met her,  and to read her threads with hannah.  she’s wonderful.            /   @hinabae​  &  @forsakenflora​

▐│∶x∶; —                    from the moment she nears him, dolcetto can sense that something isn't quite right. there's a new tension and chill in the air, and the shift in the weather--in the seasons--isn't the cause. but he keeps quiet as she reaches the steps he's taken rest on and sits down a few levels higher, waiting to see if she'll give him anything to work with ( she may know what he is, but she doesn't know all that he can do with it... not yet ).

when rose does speak, it's a simple request. and dol nods, his fingers idling the silver ring he keeps close to his chest. it's become a habit. almost like some small, distant part of him hopes that he'll gain even an inkling of roa's wisdom through some whack-job osmosis.

dol mutters. he wants to ask what's up; if there's something ( or someone ) bugging her, or something on her mind. it's easier to solve a problem when you know what it is. but her request... well. it more implies she just wants the company. maybe even a distraction.

            ❛ ...i tolja i grew up in, like. a small farmin' village, right?             it's, uh. still weird not bein' there around this time of year.             the family and i used t'go to a local orchard 'n pick fresh             apples, take'm back to the house 'n make our own cobbler,             cider, pie--you name it, ma fuckin' made it. the house would             smell like apple 'n cinnamon for weeks. you'd think you'd             get sick'a the stuff, but... heh. shit. ...s'been years since i             got to do anything like that. 

            you folks have some kinda seasonal thing y'go crazy for             'round here? maybe we could, like... make it bigger 'n better             this year or somethin'. give everyone the chance t'really             bask in it after the shitstorm they've seen. ❜
