Reason why I was so inactive. I'm graduating! Here's my thesis work "Homo Extraneus" (around 168cm in height)

"I explore the birth of the archetype of Frankenstein’s monster and its widespread influence in literature and cinema. How is queerness (LGBT+) connected to horror and science fiction media? How do queer individuals identify with monsters? As part of my thesis, I will create a sculpture, which will serve as my version of the Frankenstein’s monster. The artwork represents a humanoid alien symbolizing self-discovery, self-expression, evolution, protest against societal norms, and grotesque beauty."

AU! Drayton (+Grandpa) & notes for him (⁠◕⁠ᴗ⁠◕⁠✿⁠)

I love Drayton but man he's difficult to draw consistently 😩

AU! Drayton Sawyer Notes:

- Took care of his 3 brothers and both of his aging paternal grandparents after his parents abandoned his younger brothers back in the late 1940s

- When Nubbins died suddenly in '74 he was extremely distraught but was forced to pull himself together for his family, never really allowing himself to process it properly, which only made his mental state worse

- He was originally frantic about what would happen to Grandpa after the family was arrested but after learning he'd be in the same facility (but in a different wing intended for hospice care) and the family could still see him regularly he mellowed out a lot

- He's still ornery at times but far less stressed out now that he doesn't have to worry about food scarcity and constantly reining in/protecting his family anymore

- Takes much needed meds for arthritis in his back and knees and a mild mood stabilizer

- Initially too prideful/embarrassed and stubborn to do therapy but eventually opens up to it once his psychiatrist earns his trust

- He's significantly nicer to his brothers now that he isn't constantly manic and stressed out but still gets mildly annoyed with them often, has apologized for being such an ass to them at times after getting the meds he needed

- Still has an old photo of his family from the early 1960s that he keeps in his jumpsuit pocket, an old (pre-cannibalism) cookbook his grandmother wrote, and a handful of decent pictures Nubbins took back in the early 70's that he keeps in his room

- Spends a lot of time with Grandpa, just relaxing listening to music, or watching old western reruns on TV

- Happily helps cook for other inmates and staff, his spicy chili and cornbread casserole are crowd favorites (being praised for his cooking skills makes him very happy)
