I found my spot, and my spot is in Hawaii. I grew up in Massachusetts, and by the time I was 18, I hated the crowds, the cold, the snow, and the general rudeness of the people. I was fortunate that my family moved to Louisiana, where all of these problems seemed to be gone. We still lived in the suburbs, and they were not quiet as crowded.
