the part of our gang here is funny to me in a /pos way— we got nile crocodile (you), marbled newt sometimes indian rock python (sam), and a clouded leopard (me) just hanging around (granted I’m not a therian but I do like to think of myself as a clouded leopard sometimes)

being a shapeshifter is crazy. one minute i'm a wolf rolling in the dirt of my territory with my friends, the next i'm a little kitty in a warm home nuzzling them, then there's suddenly a whole 250kg crocodile on their lap

i often feel protective over baby animals of any of my kins, but especially hatchling & young crocodiles and waterbirds. if i see a crocodile nest, i feel the overwhelming urge to watch over the eggs. i feel urges to protect hatchlings and sometimes small juveniles as well. for my waterbird types, i feel equally strong urges to protect coot, moorhen and grebe chicks. if i see them following their parents, instinct screams that they're MY chicks lol

i actually found out that i'm a grebe when i had a very strong involuntary shift and pictured my nest on a lake. it was so vivid and the memory sticks with me
