For the recent Lackacord Secret Santa, I made these two 2000s fashion magazine ads, featuring an authentically aughts-ified Mordecai and Serafine, and the markings of a pesky vandal.

These were fun to make! I hope everyone else had fun during the event!

The characters and Rocky's scribblings were drawn in Krita.

The spiral was made with the Screw modifier in Blender (and a lattice to adjust the length partway)

The font was designed in Adobe Animate, then in Krita, it was skewed, and its background was removed with Color to Alpha.

Finally, everything was assembled in Krita!

An art style replication with Ivy Pepper in the Russian children's book series Пираты Кошачьего моря, or Pirates of the Cattibean!

I'd like to dedicate this one to @thenameslutley, who led me to discover it through a very weird detail. The later books have artwork clearly traced from other anthro media, including Lackadaisy concept art, if you'll believe it or not. In those later books, Ivy was used a few times on Jennifer Cotes, one of the main characters!

However, the earlier books have their own unique art style, which I found to look very charming. I thought Ivy would look adorable in it, and this drawing confirms my suspicions!

So thank you, Lutley, for unearthing this weird piece of history, and inspiring me to make this! (And don't trace, kids!)

Hello to the website that tumbles

Hey there! I'm finally making the jump to Tumblr!

I'm FoxBlocksHere, an animator (primarily), artist, music composer, and animation nerd*. I do a little of this and a little of that. *Nerd level is up for debate, and impressiveness is up to you.

I'm multi-fandom, which is mostly BFDI and Lackadaisy at the moment. Follow me if you'd like to keep up with the silly fandom stuff I post! (I'll also post original content from time to time!)

Don't tell anyone, but look what I found in this early VHS copy of Cats Don't Dance. It's legit. My uncle gave it to me. He works at Warner Bros.

Okay. I lied. It was all a fabrication. A dirty trick. I made it up! And you all fell for it! (You did fall for it, right?) If you hadn't guessed, this idea spawned from the times when these two characters are compared to each other.
