Haikyuu dub is BACK BABY!!! And boy did it reignite my fingers to start clicking in sony vegas again. I've had this project in my plans since before the dub was released earlier this month but your girl had a SECOND hard drive failure in her vidding journey happen to her back in December sooooooooooo I took a bit of a break from it to lick my wounds. But now that I'm back in business I can finally tend to those project I left on a top shelf.

There's nothing much to say about this video other than I think the song slaps and is very kagehina to me. Cant wait to hear what you guys think!

Sooooo.....

What started out as a fun quick project ended up taking over a week and a half to finish because this crazy lady decided that she wasn't happy with her videos as they were and wanted to try and learn how to do transitions in After Effects... this is the result we have. I'm actually uploading this ahead of some older videos that don't use any of these effects, so if there's a lack of continuity, I apologise!

Honestly, if anyone who is more experienced/knowledgeable with AE than me I would LOVE some feedback. I kept things very basic a) because I don't actually KNOW anything else yet and b) because I'm still too scared to try. This is a completely first try, before this project I'd never even opened AE so I know I have a lot to learn! Because I schedule my videos in advance, you’re probably seeing this a month after I made it so it’s possible I’ll have learnt some more stuff by then but any feedback is so important to me!

One of the things I a curious about is how massive my file size ended up being. Now to be fair, I do render my final videos in 2K and so when I rendered out the individual clips in SV, I also rendered them in 2K, and again when I rendered each finished section in AE. Perhaps I should have made the quality lower, but YT likes to screw us over with quality SO badly that it just seemed too scary to do that, but maybe I just need to experiment a little in the future. This file was about 700MB which is just ridiculous for a 1 minute video.

As for the CONTENT though fhfgohifg, I feel like this song is perfect for bokuaka and it was an excuse to use it again after so many years! These two really are just one of my all time OTPs from HQ and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I teared my hair out making it!

This was my contribution for Day 3 of Kagehina week [https://twitter.com/kagehinaweek​] and I know these fests usually revolve around fic and art, but the prompt was music so WHAT BETTER WAY TO FILL IT!!!

I don't know what it is about this song. It just hit me in a place I wasn't expecting when I first heard it. I'm a HUGE Swiftie and this song means so much to me. Seeing her progression leading up to an entire album of stunning love songs, this one chief among the was such as gift. I added it to my kagehina playlist as soon as I joined the fandom.

I think this song is perfect for them in every way. They've both been through their own personal battles. Very different ones, but just as important for them both. And it's by finding each other and being in each other's lives that they've learnt what true acceptance and partnership is. I will go to the depths of the ocean with this ship and I hope all you other shippers will go down with me xD

This was honestly one of the most enjoyable vidding experiences EVEEEEEER. I just love the energy of this song and trying to capture it with the Haikyuu energy was so freaking fun I can't tell you! My only regret was that I was trying to keep these short to spare my sanity and so I wish I could have used more of the choruses, but I'm happy with what I have. This bridge fucking SLAPS.

So this was supposed to be my second Yuri on Ice video, but then Taylor went and dropped Love Story in February so this is now my second haha. It's literally the perfect combination of intense, sexy, romantic, passionate and vulnerable which is basically the perfect victuuri formula for me.

The amount of Taylor Swift on my channel at the moment is frankly embarrassing, but hey, she is a joy to vid. Also, Taylor's love story with her current partner which she writes about on her albums Reputation, Lover and some on Folklore + Evermore is a very similar story to victuuri, so the songs written about Joe are almost certainly going to be vidded to these two over the course of time hehe.

So I took part in a fest called Haikyuu Taylor Swift Week, the details for which you can find here: https://twitter.com/HQSwiftWeek2020?s=20​ Each day of this week was dedicated to a new album, and while I managed to upload content for days 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, I missed day 5 and 7 which were Reputation and Folklore respectably.

But along with reuploading all my old content to this channel, I wanted to give myself a chance to fill those last two days even if not as part of the fest originally.

This video was actually meant to be kagehina - shocking right? That it changed so drastically haha. But something about the lyrics one night, before I started proper editing it, SCREAMED oikage to me. Even if not in a shippy sense, it's such a good song for their relationship in general and I had an absolute blast editing it and using a new effect I've been dying to try out.

This show DESTROYED me when I watched it and Yuki was a huge part of that reason. I adore Mafuyu and Ue’s relationship but I would be lying if I said that the idea of the lost love and the love that never was, ended up capturing my heart more. 

Honestly, mafuyuki had no business making me as obsessed with them as I ended up being especially since they literally had ONE scene together with dialogue in the entire show. ONE. 

 Which ummmm doesn’t make my job any easier as a vidder haha but it won’t be the last time I vid them that’s for sure! It’s just that the content will have to be shorter but I’m sure my rendering time would thank me for that!

Finally!!! My first YoI video! I actually have another video finished and scheduled for Yuri on Ice. I wanted to reupload all my old content from my other channel before I start posting new stuff, but Taylor wasn't having that! I knew I wanted to vid Love Story to SOMETHING when it came out in order to commemorate this moment of her first re-release. And not only that, but it is Valentine's Day tomorrow after all!! This has been one of my favourite Taylor Swift Songs of all time for years. There’s something so pure, so positive and yet so effortlessly melancholy about it whilst still being so uplifting that it makes you want to go outside, dance in the rain and follow your dreams - aka, it’s perfect for Haikyuu.

This is also the first Haiukyuu vid I’m making that’s PURELY from Karasuno’s POV. Usually, I make my gen vids from the POV of as many characters as I can, but this one felt too perfect for our ragtag bunch of misfits ^__^

I knew there was no way I could condense this one to a vidlet format, it deserved a full-length tribute. I already reduced the choruses to just the last one and cut out some verse lines that didn’t make sense for the fandom itself but I tried to make it as long as I could while still getting it done in time!

I’m not ashamed to admit I cried making this. I hope you love these boys as much as I do!

So I have been a Celine Dion fan since I was a little girl, and the story of her and her husband's love has always been so interesting and inspirational. How they supported each other and were a real team in an industry that rarely allows people to stay together for so long. Sadly, he died of cancer a few years ago and Celine has been an absolute hero for the way she has handled it. I'm sure this song was recorded for Renee, and I couldn't think of any better couple to dedicate it to than mafuyiki.

Mafuyu and Yuki have such little screentime in Given and yet they own my entire heart. They are my favourite part of the anime and whenever they are mentioned, my heart sings. I can't wait for more of the show so we can see more past mafuyuki.

It's kind of sucky that of all the truly IMPECABLE songs on red, some of which being my favourites she's ever written, none were suitable for a Hikayuu video.
