Walking back up, like I haven't been gone for years. Why? Cause I gotta share some of my

Unhinged ACOTAR Theories.

I have three theories right now, but I'll reblog as they come. But here's what I have right now.

Nesta and Cassian are going to be the on page portrayal of a mate rejection.

I just don't get endgame vibes from them, and I know the popular theory for this, despite feared, is that Cassian will die. I don't think so. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if things get worse for them. Silver Flames ended happily, but it wasn't a Nessian Happy Ending. You mean to tell me, I'm supposed to believe that they got their happy ending in their book, when Cassian not once said the words 'I love you.'

Lets not even start with how they barely interacted positively at all in Flame and Shadow. Listen, I understand the ... betrayal, and anger Cassian must have felt, when Nesta gave the mask to Bryce, but to not say a word in defense when Rhys was going at her, where the STRANGER that was Ember Quinnlan was the comfort for Nesta, you would expect her MATE to be?

I feel like the on page portrayal of a Mate Rejection we will get is between Nesta and Cassian. And it's gonna be Nesta doing it. I don't know how, but I'm sure of it.

Beron Vanserra is possessed by a Valg King.

Listen, there is no reason that we are 4.5 books into this series, and we still do not know the Lady of Autumns name. With how important a character Lucien is, and Eris is growing to be, especially how the Vanserrsa family is one of the very few characters whos LAST NAMES we know? So we know the Lady of Autumns LAST NAME through marriage, but not her first name?

Erewan stole the King of Adarlans name from him. He stole that memory from everyone who knew it. And Erewan wasn't possessing the king, but rather Duke Perrington.

The Lady of Autumn has had her name stolen by her husband, who is being possessed by a Valg King.

I'm gonna admit, that I'm not sure I remember if there are any other similarities between Beron Vanserra, and Duke Perrington, other than I hate them both, but I'm sure if I look, I could find some. This theory really stems from my frustration at how the Lady of Autumn isn't named yet, when theres no logical reason for that, except it was stolen from her.

Wouldn't it be amazing though, that after Beron inevitably dies, we learn that Eris has known it, saw it written down somewhere, and has kept that hidden until she can recalim her name? Because I don't even think Lucien knows(or knew) her name, and Helion giving it back to her would be too predictable.

We aren't done with Nesta as a main character.

When Silver Flames(and its following books) were announced, it was pitched as a different couples story for each book. But then she wrote Silver Flames, and then the two most recent Crescent City books, and Sarah has found herself stuck.

She's written Nesta up to be this very important character, whose story is nowhere near done, I think she's backed herself in a corner, because how do you build up this powerful, important character, and move on to telling someone elses story with this character being in the background at worst, or a side character at best?

So if Sarah follows the original plan, it is another big reason why it makes most sense for Azriel and Gwyns story to come next.

Because how close Gwyn and Nesta are, this can keep Nesta as close to the front as poossible(look how much Gwyn we got in Silver Flames, compared to the other Archeron sisters. Nesta is just closer to the Valkyries right now), without overshadowing Gwyn and Azriels story.

I think we as a society need to be reminded how good the original Powerpuff Girls was. Here's some of my favorite things about it:

the fight scenes had a level of punchiness and impact that was rare for cartoons of the nineties, and fight scenes that were way better than what one would expect from a comedy

The character writing is so good that a large portion of the show's most iconic episodes consist of just showing how the girls' personalities react to different scenarios, for example in one episode the girls take turns recapping a fight that had just happened, and the tone and art style of the flashback changes depending on whose telling the story

One of the recurring extras is a talking dog that goes about it's day like a normal human

Each girl has mostly the same powers with one special ability that sets them apart. Blossom has ice breath. Bubbles can speak to squirrels and is also fluent in Spanish. Buttercup can curl her tongue.

while the majority of the show is lighthearted comedy sometimes it'll just decide to be nightmareworld for an episode and i think thats pretty cool

The show utilizes a blend of classic upa linework and sixties art deco shapism to create a visual style that is utterly timeless. If the majority of the show wasn't cell animated you would not be able to guess when it came out

The main villain's speaking patterns were directly inspired by The Super Dictionary. AKA, the same book that brought us this:

In the season one finale, the girls fight a giant monster using a mech suit. During the fight, there is a sequence that is literally just 20 uninterrupted seconds of an absurd amount of missiles coming out of every possible orifice of the robot. And then they miss.

There was an anime adaptation made in the 2000's and its actually pretty good, like it does take a lot of creative liberties but its clear that the people making it understood the spirit of the original show and were just adapting it to reflect japanese pop culture in the same way the og show reflected american pop culture.

The show had an insanely kickass soundtrack consisting of early techno so clean it's kind of shocking that it was made in the late nineties and not the early 2010's pre-dubstep era

Meet Elentiya

Mentions of Kitten Passing and short-term Mum/Newborn Kitten Separation below.

My cat, Padmé was pregnant with two kittens. Elentiya was born November 23rd, and her sibling, November 24th. But due to unfortunate circumstances, Elentiyas sibling didn't make it, so she is a little singleton. An only child, only kitten? Either way, Elentiya is Padmé's only kitten.

This means that Elentiya came into this world and had to go a few hours alone and cold without Padmé as was at the vet regarding the other kitten.

November 24th, at 4 pm, Padmé alone had to go to the vet in regards to the second kitten, as it was not coming out fully, and was stuck for a few hours. Padmé's vet was closed that day(a Sunday), so it took those few hours to find somewhere that ended up ultimately being at my vets clinic, with an on-call doctor coming in to see her.

But guess who's still here, and is a crazy hyper kitten, just the same, as if she didn't go through what she did?

Elentiya is now 44 days old. Just over six weeks. Her name is from a book series favourite of mine, Throne of Glass, by Sarah J Mass, and the name itself means "Spirit that Could Not Be Broken."

I think her name fits. Why wouldn't it, when you're the sole surviving kitten, and you manage alone for a few hours without your mum when you're just over 24 hours old?

I am very proud of Elentiya AND Padmé. But I can't wait to see how else Elentiya comes to fit into the name.

Though others I've read have where Lucien leaves, or he goes to confront Elain about it. They are all amazing still, I love them all! I love Elucien angst as much(of not more) than fluff. Hense my name.

Mine is closer to your headcanon than the others, though he doesn't cry, and Elain comes to him.

Summary :: When Lucien unintentionally witnesses the midnight meeting between Elain and Azriel, on Winter Solstice, it brings Elain to his door.

Sneak Peak ::

He hadn’t meant to see them. It had just been a coincidence. He would swear on his life that he hadn’t meant to see them. But he did. He could also smell them.

He could smell her arousal, as she had her meeting with the Shadowsinger. He felt a rage, deep within. Those primal instincts that came with the mating bond. He closed his eyes and pushed down on that rage. Efficiently stamping it out, before he left the way he had come, before he could be seen, heard, or have them smell him.

He made it back to the room he was staying in, and he realized how much of them was even in the guest rooms. It made sense, this was their home in their court. But he hadn’t realized until now, just how suffocating it felt.

My headcanon is that Lucien was awake during that night, that he knows exactly what happened between Azriel and Elain and he is heartbroken after that. Everyone believes he would fight Azriel, instead he was crying all alone in his room, because his mate was about to kiss another man, when she can't even look at him.

I've had extremely busy days the past few(hense why I haven't been able to post the daily fic rec of my completed Elucien fics leading up to today). I don't want to do a drabble a day, I want to do something proper, kind of like I did for A New Life during Lucien Appreciation Week.

So I'm gonna try to post for today, and make a week long, seven chapter fic, but if I can't, I'm gonna do what I can and post one big(ish) fic featuring all the prompts at the end of the week. I'm gonna try and make it on time, and not late, but life happens.

I'm not a Christmas Hallmark Movie person, but my mum is, and she will start watching them in OCTOBER if she can. So I know the formula. This fic may be a tad rushed, but at the same time, I do enjoy how it turned out.
